The Sink H2O Harvesting Kit™ is designed to harvest the greywater from your bathroom sink(s) to irrigate your landscaping and/or divert the greywater to a greywater surge tank. Easily connects to your sink tail piece via the slip joint couplers, along with 1.50" x 1.25" adapter washers. This kit features a slip joint flex P-trap to help ease alignment of drain piping during installation. Please note, this kit is for bathroom sinks only! Not kitchen sinks! As plumbing code classifies kitchen sink water as blackwater. How does it work? This kit simply sits under your bathroom sink drain, whereby the drain pipe (tail piece) will connect to the kit. Determine where you want the discharge pipe to exit your bathroom, drill a hole and install the included mounting flange assembly. The included sink drain hair catcher will prevent large debris form entering the 5 gallon collection bucket. Plug the pump into a GFCI outlet, as the 5 gallon bucket fills with greywater, the sump pump, controlled by a float switch, will automatically turn the pump on and off. The kit allows for overflow via the included P-trap which also protects from sewer gases entering your home.
