My name is Brandon, I'm a Computer science student working towards my Bachelors degree in Information Systems. I have several varied interests and skills. My interests include computers and computer games of course, as well as drawing, and even sprinting....
Interestingly enough, while it's never really shown in the films or shows, I remember reading on the Legends (old Star Wars Extended Universe) about a lightsaber fighting technique called tràkata which was literally what was described in the first image.
I figured I would subtitle a great skit from a functionally now-defunct, but beloved French satirical show. It’s from 2003, on the brink of the Iraq War.
I recently got the Sonic Mega Collection Plus for PS2! As someone who's never played the sonic games before, what order should I play them in?
To understand the lore you have to start with Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine
No but for real, Sonic 2 and 3 are generally everyone’s favorites! Just don’t start with Sonic & Knuckles. It’s really the second half of Sonic 3 released as a standalone game, and it therefore gets harder pretty fast. Actually, the full combined version of both games (Sonic 3 & Knuckles) is an unlockable if you launch the individual games 20 times each
Sonic 1 is also good, but a lot of its levels are really slow and tedious compared to later entries in the series, so don’t feel bad if you lose interest after Green Hill Zone lol
Oh, and Ristar is available as an unlockable. That’s not a Sonic game, but I just love Ristar
Imagine if you died irl and you got a killcam but the thing that killed you was like, a virus or something so you see through one of the virophages’ pov and its doing trickshots and bunnyhopping and shit
Following along with this has been quite a ride so far, from green Knuckles, to Penders ‘deep lore’, to Literal alien attacks. I applaud you for keeping to this. Take all the time off you need, you’ve more than earned it.
And with that, the first era of Thanks Ken Penders has finally, after nearly five long years, come to an end
I have now covered every issue of Sonic the Hedgehog prior to Ian Flynn’s run, and am therefore out of issues written by bastard man Kenjamin Penders
We’re free
Ken’s run truly went out with a whimper, ending on a phoned in arc built off of rehashed ideas. It was clear that he was tired of working on the series, and it’s no wonder he quit. But now, the future’s bright. We’ve seen the absolute nadir of what licensed Sonic the Hedgehog comics have to offer. There’s nowhere to go but up from here. And up it will go! I’m truly thrilled to finally be reaching Ian’s comics in the near future. I mean, I literally started this blog because I wanted to read them. I may not know everything that this new run has in store for me, but I know it will mostly be good, and I’m looking forward to being more positive on this blog
That won’t be for a bit, though. As stated previously, after updating steadily for eight months straight, I’ll be taking a brief hiatus before we get to the Flynn era. I’ll be back on November 30th, the blog’s fifth anniversary, to kick off this bold new era with Sonic #160. In the meantime, I’ve begun working on an incredibly lengthy piece reflecting on Penders’ Sonic work as a whole, which will be the proper sendoff for the first era of the blog
yall look at this shit ad*be is tryna pull now on ppl who have outdated software:
(note for context: i’m all for piracy, but in this case my copy of CS6 was downloaded years ago when they were giving it away to students. i got it totally legally.)
