Dear kind souls and animal lovers, ♥️

As some of you know, my sister and I have been taking care of some homeless cats (25 cats and kittens as of today), and I arranged a small cat shelter/catio in an abandoned yard in my neighborhood for them. My sister has moved out and now has other responsibilities and can no longer help me, at least not every month.

I am now the sole caretaker of my sister's cats, our homeless ones and my own. I've managed to do this for over 3 months, but now I'm really struggling financially. I've spent all of my savings on the shelter and I'm drowning in debts, I can't do this alone anymore 😞

My vet asked me to stop buying a cheap local brand of wet food that, as we discovered recently, has been harming the cats and even causing the death of some of my kittens. So from now on I'll have to buy a more expensive brand of food or chicken.

If I could get enough members to get 150€ a month that would be amazing, and 300€ would be a dream. A girl can dream 🫣

Small update on why I haven't made new CCs yet.

Hello! It's been a while since I posted. I've been a bit busy these past months and some things happened, that's why I wasn't able to work on new content. First of all, I got the job!! I couldn't be more happy than this, the only "issue" is that I'm still trying to adjust my schedule to it (I finish at 5pm but it takes me 45min to come back home due to traffic and I'm usually tired once I'm back). On a "lesser" positive note, the weekends I was home I got sick with flu two times in a row and I wasn't able to make any CCs, plus I got in a car crush (my fault) when I was coming back from work. Me and the other driver are good, the cars (mine especially) not so much, so my first salary (and more) has been used to repair it. Apart from this, I can't really complain, I love the job and the people I work with and I feel blessed for this. My parents are also talking with my uncle and aunt to buy me the flat I was talking last year (the one used as storage), and if everything will go to plan, in the future weekends I'll also be busy empting and cleaning it for the future maintainance that must be done. That said, I hope I'll be able to make something (small) soon since I also miss working in 3D.

Hello! You can use "my" textures to recolor those CCs. In this case the main textures are by EA, I just recolored them in my mermaid palette, but you're free to use them to make complementary CCs!

RIP, CmarNYC

I’m very sad to report that Sims 3 and 4 creator CmarNYC passed away in October 2023. For 15 years, Simmers benefited from Cmar’s long-honed computing skills as she created much-loved modders’ and players’ tools, including the Sims 3 and 4 MorphMakers and Skininators, the TS4 SimRipper, the Sims 3 XCAS core mod, and many CAS sliders. She was also a contributor to S4PE, which likely was used by creators you rely on. Without Cmar’s work, the Sims franchise would have had a much less rich array of mods and custom content. She will be greatly missed.

As well as Sims, Cmar loved cats, and donations are suggested to the ASPCA, the TinyKittens Society, or an animal-related charity near you.

IMPORTANT (LIFE) UPDATE

Hello! It's been a while since I wrote something there. Long story short, I found a job. I found a job that I love. And if anything goes well in a month and half it should be a permanent job. If anything goes well it also means I can finally move out from my parents' apartment, I can finally have my own place.

This is why I haven't posted anything substantial nor I made progress on the miraculous sets. The job is fool time and I only have time on the weekend to work on CCs, but it's more than okay for me. I know some of you might feel let down cause you were waiting for a particular set, and I'm sorry, but I feel blessed to have found this job and I need the money it offers to finally have my own life. This doesn't mean I will stop with CCs/sets, it only means they aren't on the top of my priority list atm, but I will still work on them on the weekends, so the progress will be slower.

I hope you can understand, I'm finally feeling almost happy with light shoulders after years of constant anxiety for my life and my future, and I feel like as I'm adapting to the new schedule, this might be beneficial also for my creativity levels and more. I'm finally starting to feel myself again, as if before I wasn't recognizing the person who stared me back in the mirror. I really let myself down these past years with all the stress, the depression and the failures, and now I want to take back control of my life and myself again.

Summary: I have a (hopefully stable) full time job, I'll still be making stuff for TS4 in the weekends but it might take a while to adapt to the new rhythm.
