My first thought was that one little scene in the Job minisode where Muriel reads that super long scroll for Aziraphale when he needs clarification on it, so I imagine some angel had to go to Muriel about bees for whatever reason and Muriel read a file for them. They have some pretty extensive knowledge, even if it's SUPER selective!
I think one of the most telling hints that Muriel is actually quite bright, despite how everyone treats them, is when they not only immediately get what Crowley is saying about bees, they extend the metaphor by arguing, "But you don't look like a bee, you look like a murder hornet!"
Like. That's actually some pretty sophisticated comprehension and communication from an angel who's been kept isolated in an office in Heaven for so long they don't know how long humans live or the name of any "human settlement" other than London or what a cup of tea is.
He's gonna need like, 50 pairs of Crowley's sunglasses to wear for an entire month. All at once.
I know we all think Aziraphale is gonna come back from heaven dearly missing wine and food and good music but I think he's gonna come back and immediately crawl under a blanket because he is severely overstimulated by the fucking Big Light energy in heaven.
Those fluorescent overhead lights and the sheer brightness of this place absolutely do not mesh with the autisms, I mean look at his bookshop!! Dim and muted. Poor thing
A while ago, I got inspired by Tally Hall's "A Lady", along with the scene of Crowley and Aziraphale's talk about shades of light/dark gray, and I just now finally decided to get this idea out of my system!
I guess for some context, Aziraphale is being judged by God, who I sometimes like to imagine is this big eyeball-like blob of color since She's created everything. I also like thinking She can get SUPER vibrant and gets kinda hard to look at after a while. God takes away Aziraphale's color to inspect him and judge him by his character and gives him his color back once She's all done. He's perfect just the way he is in her eyes (eye..?)!
