i know it's hard to believe right now, but there is more to life than sadness and trauma and mental illness. there is love and joy and hope and so much more. there's so many incredibly beautiful little things to find happiness in every day you're alive, even if things aren't good right now. there are always sunsets to admire and movies to watch and dogs to pet. i know that life is hard, but it's full of incredible things in the everyday, things that tell you that you will be okay, that there is love always.

Hello <3 I'm a nervous wreck right now. I have terrible anxiety & panic attacks because of a job interview this week. I can't control the interview or the outcome of it, and that makes me cry a lot every day. How do you stop being so nervous? :(
hiya anon!! i'm so sorry i'm seeing this so late—i'm pretty sure you had your interview already! feel free to send another ask and update me on how it went!
for the future and for anyone else who might be feeling nervous for a job interview, i think my biggest tip for what helps me when i'm nervous for things is to be as prepared as i can be. i would try to research the company, come up with some basic answers to questions they might ask, etc. for interviews especially, i would probably try to have a practice interview with a friend or family member so i feel ready for what might be asked or what might happen.

I have been pretty down lately and stressed and I’m looking for reasons to live another day and wonder is this pain worth it? Is all of this living worth it? What are some reasons to keep on living?

i'm sorry you've been feeling down lately, that really sucks. but, life is so worth living!! i truly believe that despite all the pain and suffering and bad parts of life, there is so much beauty and joy and love.
i think reasons to keep on living can be different for everyone, but here's a brief list of some of my favorite reasons to stay alive:
to hear your favorite musician release a new album
to smell flowers on a warm spring day
to dance in the rain
to see the prettiest sunset
your pets won't know what happened to you if you're gone
to finish a shampoo and conditioner bottle at the same time

i am managing to fight my way out of a huge depression and while i am not totally back on track it is slowly getting better thanks to a lot of support from friends, family and therapy and patience with myself <3
