does blythe ever play tricks on antique store-goers? who in the creepedverse gang know she's haunted? how did they find out?

Blythe is quite the trickster! She does, indeed, mess with the store patrons! Her most favorite game to play with them is the bug dance. She will conjure up infestations of cockroaches and send one at a time towards the store goer’s direction. And one by one, they will climb up the person. She likes to see how many can climb up before they notice and freak out! Store goers are always fun to mess with, but her favorite person to mess with is actually Tobin! She also messes with lighting and the radio if it’s on! But truly, she doesn’t have to do much to be unsettling! Sometimes all it takes is for her to slump to one side slightly and the customer is booking it out of there!

As for the gang, they all learn of Blythe’s nature eventually! Bonnie was the first person to realize, and Blythe quickly took a liking to her because of that! Blythe was very untrusting of some of the gang at first, and for that reason, she didn’t out herself immediately. It wasn’t until she felt they needed guidance (and her immaculate, divine, mega super cool help) that she properly introduced herself!

RedHero: Hey guys! I’ve been passing by that antique store on Dahlia Ave on my way to work recently and I keep seeing this doll in the display. I have like… soooo many questions. I swear every time I pass by I feel like she’s… aware? Of me? I probably sound crazy! I know! But every time I pass by I just get the heebie jeebies!!! GhostlyAmity: Oh that fucking doll… I’ve heard some things about her. But, even as a believer in the paranormal, I have a hard time believing them. I’ve heard everything from she’s SEVERELY possessed to she’s just creepy looking. In my opinion, it’s the latter. Some stories I’ve heard just sound completely impossible, so for your own peace of mind, just assume it’s your human instinct, uncanny valley feelings creeping you out and carry on with your day.

-> GhostlyAmity reply to RedHero: Just from word of mouth, I’ve heard she’s been the cause of multiple heart attacks for the old folks that take her in, people have claimed they see her moving and the like. But then there’s also the incident that happened a few years back… Either way, the reason you’re actually getting creeped out is because it’s a mourning doll. Back in the 1800s, parents of dead children would make dolls that resembled their passed loved ones and keep those around like they were still alive. Usually this was done for newborns/babies, but I guess whoever the doll was made of was a special case.

GhostlyAmity: Basically, a few years back three teenagers were found dead in the forest, off the waterfall if you know where that is. They had tons of alcohol in their system and it was deemed a complete accident. They probably just wanted to go swimming and were too uncoordinated to actually, ya know, swim.

The store owners probably didn’t want people looking for her after a rumor like that comes out. Bad for business, in my opinion. So they probably kept her in the back or something.

OKAY OKAY I THREW THIS TOGETHER JUST FOR YOU! BASICALLY!

I did have proper reference sheets for her, but they are outdated now! So I hope this will be useful because I was way too excited to respond to remake the entire refs! BUT NOW THAT I KNOW PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY INTERESTED IN HER BESIDES MYSELF, I WILL BE REMAKING HER PROPER REF WITH ALL THE CUTE AESTHETICS! :D FOR NOW, HERE IS THIS!

Blythe’s standard outfit is the one seen in the first reference! However, she loves dressing up and, being a doll now, she wears all sorts of cute dresses! Her aesthetic is heavily inspired by “morute,” creepy-cute aesthetics, and Lolita fashion, as well as early 2000s anime and games (particularly horror anime/games! Think like Higurashi! Or American McGee’s Alice! Or even Mad Father!) Blythe’s hair is strawberry blonde and her eyes are a vibrant green!

Blythe is a very bratty and mischievous little girl. She wants things to go her way and has her own set of skewed morals. She speaks rather cryptically, but that may be a product from her time. She also has a vague, very slight English accent, as her family is descended from English and Scottish settlers.

Blythe loves strawberries, and one of her current goals is trying to figure out how to eat them as a spirit/doll!

talking about college and what I might wanna do!

Yayyyy another shark log! Okay! I haven’t really blabbed recently so let’s see what I talk about…

For one! I had a dermatology appointment for my hair and skin stuff! But the treatment that was prescribed didn’t work :( my skin didn’t clear up and my hair is still falling out a lot! But! Speaking of my hair! I got a haircut! My first ever like!! Masculine haircut! I was very brave and I asked my hairdresser for a masculine haircut and she was like “of course! No problem!” And she even charged me for a male haircut! It was cheaper!! I was so happy about that and I’m so happy about my hairstyle now! I love how it looks and it makes my smile look so cute!

I’ve also been thinking about going to college maybe! I want to wait until I’m sure I’d have the proper support for my condition, as schizophrenia affects my cognitive abilities like a LOT, so learning can be difficult even when I really really wanna learn! I remember in high school, before I left, sometimes I couldn’t read papers or the boards because the words would all be jumbled and letters would disappear! It was so confusing because I’d try so hard to read and understand, but I just couldn’t see past the hallucinations. I want to go to college just to learn more about my favorite things and about more stuff I don’t know about! I don’t wanna go just to get a job. I want to go to learn! And for that reason, I’m trying to think of what subject I’d like to major in! I think I’d love to major in marine biology! It’s my dream to understand and learn more about sharks! I’m lucky to live only an hour from the ocean! And if I remember correctly, there is a college down by the shore!

I’ll have to research more about majors and what programs different schools offer! I know I definitely don’t want to go to school for art. Art is my most favorite hobby, but I do not want to make money off my art, unless it’s like commissions for friends. I want to save art to be mine and mine alone. I want to draw what I love not for a grade. And plus, I’d prefer to learn art by myself! So, I’m thinking of either pursuing language or science! But I get nervous about science! It really interests me, but I fear I might be too… not bright to understand it. I have a hard time grasping big concepts sometimes, but I want to try my best! I want to understand the ocean! I want to understand sharks!
