Idk, some bullshit regarding my writing output.

Alright so. I've been timing myself so that I have a better idea of how I should handle myself when it comes to the requests I'm filling (and how much output I can expect in the future.)

I can write roughly 800 words of a draft in 30 minutes (forget that I keep getting up at around minute 10 and wasting like 5-10 minutes; that's to be expected) provided that I have an outline and I've had time to thing about the mood I want the story to have (which is always the case, as those are by far the easiest parts of the entire process.) The drafts suck in terms of prose and interesting dialogue, but they are functional at a structural level.

I haven't done any measuring for editing yet because I want to get these drafts done first. So yeah. I'm using this whole thing as a way to figure out what my output can be first, and then to figure out how much is sustainable.

The good news is that sitting down to write for 30 minutes a day is easily doable. I could bump it to one hour maybe once or twice a week. THIS ASSUMES I'M NOT AT RISK OF BURNOUT and that it's not during my busiest months.

Of course, I need to conserve batteries to do other stuff that also requires creative energy because I need that to eat and pay bills, but... I'll figure out rest days little by little. Will do a lot of rest early on, I suppose.

#trying to find my rhythm hasn't been easy #my memory is so terrible and my impressions so easily distorted as time goes on that I need to check again every once in a while #especially since i can't expect energy levels to be constant #what i understand from doing all of this is that I need to sleep more #which means i won't be around here to interact with people very much #but if i'm honest #while seeing what everyone is up to is very nice and very fun and i definitely enjoy it #i get violent when i don't write enough or draw enough or do enough little guys from fabric or wool #so that's going to be my main priority I think

Fic requests are open

Starting today, I'm accepting fanfiction requests. Just send me an ask or reply to this post with a prompt/ship/theme/trope, and I'll see it done (as long as it's within reason.) Keep in mind that depending on how many requests I get, it could take a while for me to finish yours in particular.

These are open to everyone. Mutuals have priority (even if you don't know we're mutuals.) There is no time limit for these, which means you can send me your requests starting today, although I'm likely to close them around October.

There are no hard, clear rules. I will write basically for nearly any pairing or character. If there's anything I don't feel I can pull off, I will let you know.

Nearly all types of content are OK. Don't be afraid to ask as I'm chill with most stuff. Yes, this means even NSFW is OK. Most kinks are OK. Dark fic is OK. MCD is OK. Don't worry about that. I don't hate any characters or ships either. Again, I will tell you if I'm uncomfortable with your request or if I think I won't be able to do it well. Let's just be respectful of each other's tastes and boundaries, together.

What I won't do due to time constraints/lack of skill/discomfort:

Anything with your OC,

anything that requires extensive research,

pure fluff,

crackfic or cringe comedy,

anything just hateful.

Three more important considerations:

I don't serve terf/swerfs.

This is a proship safe space.

If I see you've been defending AI generated content, you don't get to ask me to write for you.

What to expect when I'm done writing it

The fic will most likely be somewhere around 2,000 and 4,000 words, depending on the prompt and my enthusiasm for it. It might be way more than that too, but don't count on it.

I don't expect you to reblog, comment on, or even like/kudos the fic if you don't want to. If you'd like to keep the request away from Tumblr (that is, you'd prefer me to not post it here) or if you'd rather I don't say it was you who requested it, you have to let me know.

The fic WILL be posted to AO3, where it can be sent to you as a gift if you're comfortable with it and have an account. However, if your request is a little too out there for my usual brand, I will mostly likely publish it anonymously.
