Ticket to the Ocean

     In my past artistic career, I have done a lot of work but the physical work turned out to be a waste and went into the trash can, so in this work, I chose to go all digital, as a response to sustainable living.

    I used the photo I took of the sea and made into the ticket shape and cover them by bubble wraps, making contract of natural and man-made product. I have done some recyclable label research, so I have used them in my project. I also did a research of an artist who uses wasted materials to make works. Therefore，in this project I chose bubble wraps, and I don't want to print the work out becuase there will be new rubbish produced, so my in the exhibition shelf it will be a QR code for audience to scan.

Response to 21th Thursday talk 

The talk Peter has introuduced some website for designers to promote themsleves, and has insipred me with making this back page, I chose to put some of my important website with my signature. So it looks like an old fashion name card.

Refrence

This is my mean reference for the layout, they used riso print and even it is a scanned version here, you can see the texture. I love how they arrange typography and black colour into their works as well as the use of negative space.

Process of folio

This week I started working on my folio and prepare to finish it. I used my favouriate black and white style and considered the size of typography,and the first four pages looks okay and I will continue to working on this.

week 3  moodboard workshop

After seeing more and more graphic works, I was in a state of wanting to try everything all the time. In the process of making this moodboard, I initially thought of it as a sort of a P2 pattern, but then I found myself in a fixed mindset, because starting with GCSE, I started making moodboard from the frame, so I broke down the typography and analyzed the different levels of information. I’m quite happy with the final product, although it doesn’t has a lot of pictures, but I think it’s very comfortable to read.

Research of typography

This arrangement of text is something I would never have thought of in a normal book, although it’s not very reader friendly, but it’s certainly the most appropriate arrangement for Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The reader can feel the interest of the book without the use of images, just the weird arrangement of the typography, which is also another way of presenting vivid imagery.
