I finally got my hands on a beargguy III :) The box came a little squished but I got a good deal on it so I'm not mad just a little disappointed bc it wasn't sold as a "damaged box" item.

When building him I broke the pcaps that act as his "elbows" so I had to fix that with some milliput- the plastic on this one feels a bit more brittle than the newer kits I've built but I kinda expected that much.

I definitely want to paint him bc I'm not a huge fan of yellow and he will stick out like a sore thumb with the ideas I have for my other "shelf display" kits opposed to one's I'm putting in dioramas but I still don't have much practice with the airbrush I have some tho! I was able to practice on some spoons a couple weeks ago and I'm feeling good!! I think I'm going to use one of my haros as my first real kit practice; I haven't decided was color combo I should go with, I'm going to paint the momoharo and one of the tri-stars in their original colors but I want to do something funky with the third one.

I have started to work on my Lfrith but I'm going slow bc my partner is building his aerial with me and he can't build as long as I can. The pollen count is finally low enough I could try and get to painting today.

I want to practice with the airbrush some more, test out some colors and stuff, but alas– the pollen count is too high and if I open the windows my throat, eyes, and ears are going to itch and my eyes will also feel like they might explode.

I gotta figure out a way to fit some filters on the windows so I can get the airflow but the pollen will not try to murder me.

The left side hasn't been worked on at all, but the right side has all been straight-built and I'm thinking about what colors I'd want to paint them, if I want them in a diorama, what themes to use, and what other customization I could apply.

I'm a 'put it together, sand/scribe, take it apart' type of builder. I have to actually see it built in front of me before I can be sure what I want to do with it.

I haven't painted any gunpla yet, but I got my booth this month so I can start practicing with the airbrush. Having the impulse control to wait and not just start painting parts right away is a CHALLENGE. I have so many cool kits that I have ideas for, but they are so cool that I really don't want to fuck 'em up just because I want to play with the new toy.

So glad I went to see what they had— I was just looking for pipettes which they didn't have but I found a beargguy III for like, $10 cheaper than I've seen anywhere else and I'm STOKED!! This might get priority over the rest of my backlog lmao 😅
