Keep your distance. That was what the voice in Zekiâs head was telling him, that conscience of caution warning him not to further disrupt her life more than he already had. Or seemed to have had. It was hard, though, especially when something in his heart was tugging at him, as if yearning to be close to her. A foolish desire, perhaps, but one that was true nonetheless. But right then, as he studied her from afar, he couldnât read her. From the other night, he had assumed she wanted nothing to do with him.
So, whenever Vivian was the one to start closing the gap, Zeki was taken aback. But his heart warmed at the action, even if it wasnât any other sign than Vivian about to tell him to back the hell off. He began to move as well, as if to meet her halfway. He offered her a small smile, nodding at her words. âI⊠didnât expect to see you either,â he murmured honestly, slipping his hands into his coat pockets as they stood there under the light falling of snow. â⊠How are you?â Zeki asked carefully.
it was a strange feeling, to come face to face with him again. it was hard to brush off that she could ignore him. Yet, here she was being cautious, curious and aware. A part of her was drawing closer because he knew something, the other wouldnât allow her to open up. She had been betrayed before, abandoned, so how could he be so...kind. it was puzzling.
he was smiling nonetheless. he didnât expect to see her either, hmmm, how true was that statement? to be frank she hadnât seen them since their last interaction. âcurious.â she replies as she looks at him, studying him, she was going to be upfront about it. âand annoyed.â she tilts her head seeing the snow fall around them. She was reminded they were at a market, and not the woods. âSeeing that youâre smiling, you must be good?â she asked raising a brow.

It said a lot for someone to trust Sibel like this, someone who was known for getting into trouble. She had friends before who had been similar to Izabel in the way they were more on the shy side, refusing to be dragged into whatever chaos Sibel thought of that day. She would try to get friends out of their comfort zone, wanting them to see that it was okay and that life didnât have to be lived through safety goggles. It wasnât that she couldnât understand their reasonings, but she had just long since left behind any hesitation to not live life to the fullest. She wanted to enjoy things, especially with others.
Not all of them caved. Izabel, though, had surprised Sibel the most. Surprised her wholeheartedly. Iza doze headfirst with her into raging waters. And Sibel could only imagine what could come next. Tomorrow, a week from now, years. The adventures theyâd go on and the memories theyâd make would only get better. They were just at the start.
A beautiful start it was, of course. Sibel was giddy, just relaxing there in that booth with Izabel on her lap. The problems of their crazy world could fade for the time being. One day, things may start falling a part but for right now, milkshakes and fries were the priority. That, and cherries half covered in whip cream. Sibel wasnât expecting what came next. Iza leaned over to bite the cherry and she tugged it off the stem, all while Sibel just stared in awe. That was, uh, kinda, uh⊠Her body was running hot, basically.
Like damn, now Sibel was wondering if Izabel was one of those people who could tie a cherry knot with their tongue. But, uh, she refrained from asking.
âNo problem,â she chirped with a soft laugh, biting the corner of her lip as she grabbed her milkshake again. She blinked as Izaâs sister was mentioned, and she smiled at the explanation. Hearing memories from Izaâs life really made her heart swell. âYeah, gotta make those memories while you can,â she agreed. Sibel thought back to her father, realizing that the comment couldâve been mildly morbid. But she didnât mean for it to be. She meant what she said. She really did believe people should make memories with people they cared about, as much as they could.
Itâs nice to know that Iâm sharing this with you. Oh, there came another blush. Sibel smiled, feeling a little shy at such a significant statement. âSame,â she promised, then her eyes lit up as she pulled out her phone. âSpeaking of moments and memories⊠we might as well capture some, yeah?â Sibel grinned. âMaybe we can get enough pictures one day to fill up a scrapbook or something.â She opened the phone and then the camera, holding it up so they could snap a few selfies.
Izabel could remember her childhood growing up, very opposite of who she is now. She was the kid that lived on adventure, finding herself in trees, venturing out at the market places. She was fearless in that sense, she was one to move ahead of herself. Her parents noticed that, and helped her to excel in her studies as a kid. She would be surrounded by many people, but she never thought herself any better. In school, she was the one everyone wanted to be friends with. However, that side of her changed. It changed the moment she had lost her parents in an accident. Suddenly that bright girl, because reserved and quiet, and she thought about things before doing them. She became cautious. So seeing Sibel so expressive and so carefree, it reminded Izabel of how she used to be.
Right now, she may have surprised Sibel, with how daring she can be as well, but that was only because she found comfort in Sibelâs presence. In getting to know more about her, her likes, dislikes, her dreams, and goals.Â
She didnât think sheâd end up here, or at least seeing herself evolve, into showing a brighter, caring side of herself. Here they were out in the open, enjoying each other and being together. It was something Izabel did not see coming, but she was glad it did. Chewing on the cherry, she could see Sibel looking at her, and she wondered did she get whip cream on her face?  âHmm?â she hummed, wanting to know what Sibel was thinking.
Izabel believed in making memories, or at least moments, because it could all go away in a matter of seconds. She knew that, and she wondered if that was the same case with Sibel. With the way in which she spoke, she wondered if she made many moments, or had lots of memories. âYes, we want to cherish the moment, remember it.â she stated with a nod.Â
Photos. Izabel then got shy, she wasnât sure if she was camera shy or if she thought she took good pictures. âIâm not sure if Iâm photogenic.â she stated honestly, but she wanted to take pictures with Sibel. So she leaned in, smiling as she could see Sibel and herself in the selfie view of the camera. Chuckling as she look at them. âWeâre cute.â she agreed.

Yes, even without verbal confirmation, it seemed like this was an acknowledgement. Maybe not full acceptance, but it was at least a step in that direction. It was something that may take a while, but perhaps Gianna had been correct. The way Savana had carried herself and the way she responded to Emilioâs remarks seemed to have earned some respect. Even if only a smidge. Even when she burned that rose right in their living room, it was a sign that she was serious and she wasnât going to allow her love for Reuben to be brushed off. Everything she felt was real, just as Reubenâs own feelings were.
So, Emilio shook her hand briefly. No words were spoken after that, but just like Reuben, actions tended to speak louder than words. Gianna had returned the smile Savana gave her, even seeming relieved by her husbandâs actions. With the way he had hounded Savana, she was glad that he had cut it out now. Afterwards, the parents began their trek up the stairs. And Gianna already knew she would probably continue talking about the events of the day, continuing talking about their son and how he clearly loved that woman.
What was to come of the future? Did Reuben have plans? Gianna had questions, but she had refrained from asking them that night, at least.
Reuben, honestly, hadnât expected the gesture from his father either. But he was glad he witnessed that. Sure, his father may have private words with him in the future, but nothing would change. What Emilio heard that day was what would remain as the truth forever. It was Reuben and Savana, together, no one else for either of them. Reuben felt even more relaxed as they returned upstairs, stepping into their room. Shutting the door behind them, he glanced over at the bed, only to find Savana laying down while cradling a pillow.
Raising an eyebrow, his eyes softened as he slipped off his jacket. He placed it on the nearby chair, loosening his tie as he sat on the bed. Reuben leaned over, gently moving strands of hair away from Savanaâs face before leaning down to kiss her cheek.
Savana was screaming internally, she had survived the questions from Emilio, and yes, she would say the atmosphere was intense. However, there was a certainty in her, one that could not be brushed under the rug. His father wanted to play it off as if this was something to pass. Which was not the case, so him actually shaking her hand, as if to say, he acknowledged her display of affection towards his son, and her stance on her feelings. It was refreshing and yet, she still wanted to yell because she was that bold.
Laying on the pillow, she felt the bed shift, opening her eyes seeing Reuben sitting, she turned her head slightly, watching as he moved her hair out of her face. Feeling the calm atmosphere as she felt him kiss her cheek, she leaned into him, stealing a kiss from his lips. âIs he always that intense?â she asked in a quiet voice, before throwing the covers over herself. She basically had a staring match with a royal king. and burned a rose just to show him how serious she was.
She was probably crazy.
Rolling around for a bit, as she tried to get herself together, she could hear Reuben, but she wondered if she screwed something up. They didnât react poorly, but still, she did alright? after a while, she poked her head out, looking at Reuben, she lightly sat up, leaning her head on his shoulder. âI basically told a royal king Iâd set fire to any bachelorette that even thinks to come close to you.â she stated with a smirk. âThat is the truth.â She then pouted for a minute âAs if theyâd step through the door.â sheâd roast them.
Looking up at him âHow are you?â she asked softly, wanting to know what was going on in his mind. After all it was his parents, his father did the questioning, but she also wanted to know what he thought. How he felt, was he upset? was he calm? did he expect the night to go like this?

It seemed that they were both the epitome of heart eyes. Not just while sitting in a booth together in a diner, but almost always now. It was hard not to be. They were both on a high because of each other, hearts that were becoming more and more intertwined the longer they were around each other. It did seem a little clichĂ©, huh? The way they had gotten together, all of those moments. It was like it was out of some young adult novel or some cheesy Netflix movie. But for Sibel and Izabel, this was reality. And reality had never been better. Sibel had never thought about being an author but heck, sheâd write a book if it meant chronicling her time with Iza.
Honestly, Sibel wished her father was still there. Just⊠there to witness this, see his daughter being happier than she ever had been. She could imagine the conversation too. Sibel would tell him that there was this girl. Maybe heâd smile, ask what her name was. And Sibel wouldnât just say her name. Sheâd ramble off a lot of things that he hadnât even asked for. The thought of Izabel would bring out word after word. But her dad would just smile and let her talk, happy that she was happy.
Yeah, Sibel wished that could happen. But wherever he was, maybe he was watching now.
I didnât know I was part of a meal. Yeah, Iza caught on, but it had been kind of obvious. Sibel walked right into that one. She was flustered, but it seemed like Iza was too. She laughed softly, once again becoming a ball of emotions at the affection that came from the kiss on the cheek. People from the outside looking in may have thought it was no big deal, but they didnât know Sibel. She thought it was everything. Everything Izabel did, every little gesture like that, was⊠electric. Yeah, she still wasnât taking it back. Izabel was the electrifying one.
Even as the waiter came back, Sibel just clung onto Izabel like it was no big deal either. Even the guy didnât seem that fazed. He probably saw tons of things during every shift. Someone sitting on someone elseâs lap was probably nothing. He said heâd be back with the fries, leaving them alone again. Sibel looked excited as she picked up her shake, taking a long sip like it was the last time sheâd ever have one of those. âAwesome,â she breathed out in awe. âDo you want my cherry?â Sibel asked as she plucked the cherry off the whip cream. She liked cherries, but also, sharing was caring.
Izabel had thought about her parents, and wondered what they would have thought about Sibel. She was sure they would have welcomed her with open arms. Seeing Izabel smile again, after such a long time. She knew they would have liked her. Though her parents werenât with her now, she was content in knowing that they were watching over her. Izabel hadnât really thought about her sister, or what she would say on the matter. As long as Sibel was happy, then the rest of the world didnât matter. She not only had a friend, but someone she cared about, someone she confided in, and someone she liked, more than anything in world.
There was comfort, and trust, a genuine and honest atmosphere between the two of them. She was sure if it was the outside looking in, theyâd see how they sort of fell into each other. Call it the energy or the gazes, exchange of looks between them. Izabel felt it all, and couldnât wait to see where it would take them. Their relationship will continue to build, and they had many adventures, and memories to make, and enjoy, with one another.
This siren was still convinced that Sibel was the cool sensation of water awakening oneself. Sibel could think of Izabel as electric, but Izabel would still say that she came alive because of Sibel. Seeing the flushed look, only made Izabel lean in once again and place another kiss on Sibelâs cheek. They could be in a fit of giggles and still be content with one another. It had Izabel almost forget that they were in a diner. Which was fine by her, no matter where theyâd be, she was sure to express everything that Sibel had her feeling.
Taking the chocolate milkshake, she took a good sip from the straw and nodded her head in agreement with Sibel. The chocolate shake was awesome, and it tasted good. She was a fan of cherries yes, she hadnât expected Sibel to ask her that, but , she nodded. Izabel simply leaned in, taking the cherry between her teeth and tugging it from itâs stem, and smiled. âYup.â she replied with a light chuckle. Eating it like it was no big deal, cherries were her favorite. âThank you.â she stated with a smile, gauging Sibelâs reaction. âYou know, I used to hang out with my sister a lot when I was little. Weâd visit places, and make our time together special, considering I would only see her every once in a while.â she paused. âItâs nice to know that Iâm sharing this with you.â sharing a moment, that they can make their own, and one to remember.

If anything, I would think such a gesture would earn at least some respect.
Emilio mulled over his wifeâs remark, for even if she had said it in some teasing tone, the words were not necessarily false. He sat there, and silently re-evaluated what it was he had been doing. The way he had drilled Savana with questions that brought more tension to the atmosphere had been for a purpose. He had wanted to test her. Was she someone who would falter easily under pressure, or would she remain composed through the hellfire Emilio threw at her? Maybe he had been expecting the former. That, or he had wanted it to be. Why? Probably because it was still hard to accept that Reuben was not the same son as before.
Something had changed, and it still baffled Emilio.
He eyed his son, watched the way Reuben seemed so relaxed beside her. He seemed completely at ease, content at the cheek kiss and the way his hand was taken. Iâm not possessive, but I am quite direct, and stand my ground. Savanaâs declaration made Emilio shift his gaze back to her. Would any bachelorette have been so bold? So full of conviction that even Emilio couldnât find a valid reason to not believe it?
Reuben gave her a small smile, only for his attention to slowly drift back to his father, who had risen from his chair. Emilio was silent at first, just slipping one hand into his pocket as he stepped toward the couch where they were. She stood her ground. Maybe he was acknowledging it, despite the fact that he had been making an effort to not. âThat you do,â Emilio finally stated as he looked down at Savana, outstretching his hand to her.
It wasnât out of jealousy, that would have meant that Savana wanted something she lacked, and that wasnât the case at all. She just did not take kindly to being pushed to the side, or implied that she was not even an option. So if she had to be a little extra and fiery, then she would. Reuben wasnât just anyone and she was serious about their son. Not everyday someone walks into and burns a rose, just to make a statement as bold as her. Then again, no one could ever be Savana.
She had not expected for Emilio to stand up and make his way towards them. Causing her to raise a brow. She didnât know what heâd say, or do really. She wasnât afraid, but she watched him carefully. As Emilio made his way , she noted the guards, it almost felt like everything was in slow motion. When he had extended his hand out, she wondered if this was him acknowledging her, not just as Savana Bisanti, but as Reubenâs equal, love, and the person he had chosen to be with. She didnât break eye contact, she extended her hand out, taking it.
It was a lot to take in for the night, or well, first night of being here with him. She thanked both of his parents again for the lovely dinner. Smiling as she looked at Giana, his mother was a woman that no one should mess with. Savana admired that fierce soul, and she gravitated towards it. Gianna made her feel welcomed, so when the night had come to an end, she had found herself wanting to make plans, to spend more time with the woman.
Turning to look at Reuben, Savana smirked, almost waiting to see if Reuben was going to head to his old room, or if he stayed in a different room, since the villa was pretty big. Either or, she waited until his parents retreated for the night, causing Savana to bow as they went upstairs along with them. They then entered their room, before Savana then laid on the bed, with pillow in hand, screaming internally as she remembered the events that had taken place.

âstarry night, eyes are wide, dreaming always
you and i, on my mind, those rainy sundays
when we danced outside by the driveway
suddenly, looked at me, couldnât fake it
didnât see underneath, my heart was racing
hoping you were feeling the same way
with butterflies dancing around inside
i ask you, âwho do you love?â
you said, âmy darling
just one touch i knew i was falling for you
itâs always been you, my loveâ.â

There had been some dates in the past. But not to say the others were bad, but Sibel didnât think they held a candle to this. To Izabel. She had made connections with various people before, but this kind of connection surpassed those by miles. Like, they were galaxies away in comparison. That was what her heart was saying with a smile, and it was definitely worn on her sleeve. Heck, it was like either of them could make any suggestion and the other would be down. Even the road trip suggestion had her excited, like she would go across country with Izabel right now if they could. What was school? Donât know her. There were far more important things in Sibelâs book.
âSorry, phone lines are dead,â Sibel replied quickly, laughing at the amusement of the scenario. Though, if my last moments are with you, Iâd kindly be happy in my final hours. There her heart went again, hammering like it would never stop. And that wink? Holy shit. Sibel had to be giving her heart eyes at that point. When Izabel went with chocolate, she clapped. âAmazing choice! You saved the world,â she declared with a victorious grin, finally turning her focus back at their waiter. âSame for me. Thanks,â Sibel told the guy as he left before glancing back at the menu, noting that there was some new stuff that was added too.
Sibel almost commented on it before noticing movement from the corner of her eye. Glancing up, she looked surprised when she saw Iza not sitting anymore. It was like she was deciding to close the gap once more, slipping into the booth again but on the same side as Sibel. The action hadnât been expected, though she wasnât complaining either. Oh, she was pressed into a corner alright, never once breaking eye-contact with Iza. Just the milkshake? Sibelâs mouth ran dry as she stared at her, turning a little more toward her.
Yes, she definitely blushed, and she also looked like she was intently trying to mull over a witty remark. Okay, bet. Two could play at this game. Izabel wanted to see her blush? Well, maybe she wanted to see Izabel blush too.
âNah, no, of course not,â Sibel responded, trying to stop from laughing. âMaybe a burger, side of fries, andâŠâ Here came the burst of courage again, Sibel carefully reaching over to and bringing Izabel onto her lap. âYou,â she decided, smiling widely up at her as she just wrapped her arms around Izaâs waist. Okay, maybe that whole comment couldâve been considered a tad bit suggestive, but Sibel didnât really notice until seconds later. She was just trying to, uh, ignore it.
The more she looked at Sibel, studied her features and took her all in. The more she asked herself, how was it that Sibel was single? it amazed her. Here was this person. so bubbly, full of life, she could easily make others smile, laugh. It was as if the whole world was in Sibelâs eyes, she was also full of mystery, galaxies in space, people would have spent millions of years searching for. Yet, here she was, right in front of Izabel, and it was like she held everything. When Sibel spoke, Izabel was lost in thought, and smiled so much. This girl was amazing, and she felt so lucky? was it luck? or just happiness, happiness that their paths crossed. They had found each other, and blossomed.
âHave I saved the world?â she asked âI couldnât have done it alone. I mean you ordered it as well, youâve saved it too.â she laughed. Sometimes she went with the flow and she really loved being in Sibelâs presence, it made her feel, like she could expressed anything and everything. Perhaps her boldness stemmed from it, from something that Sibel was able to bring out of her.  My god, she was gorgeous. Izabel wasnât afraid to show that either, that she had been staring at her, looking in awe, because she was just so ....breathtaking. One could say she was staring at her, with heart eyes.
âI didnât know I was part of a meal.â she stated looking back at Sibel, but she did catch the comment, and though it made Izabel cheeks heat up, quite a lot. She blushed even more the minute that Sibel moved for Izabel to sit on her lap, so now she was closer than before. âI thought weâve established that you already have me.â she stated with a smile, lightly touching Sibelâs cheek before leaning in and placing a kiss there. Sibel didnât make this easy either, Izabel could have gone for a playful bite, she was close enough to Sibel, to do so playfully. Although, sheâd wait on that, catch Sibel off guard, she couldnât quite show all her cards.
Turning her attention back on the menu, when the waiter came back with their shakes, Izabel spoke up âCan I have a basket of fries.â she stated with a smile, not at all minding that she was still on Sibelâs lap, like it was no big deal.Â

Is it that hard to believe that he has fallen in love? The answer to that seemed to be clear. Once again, Savana was not wavering at any of Emilioâs comments. Perhaps that had been a test in itself, like he was testing her resilience, seeing if sheâd crack under the pressure. She hadnât. Not yet. He glanced toward the vase of roses when she did, cocking an eyebrow at her remark about the color. It was true, that it would mostly just be a random rose such as that one. It was not going to be on some dramatic display under a glass vase like the one in Beauty and the Beast. A simple rose from a simple bouquet was fairly close.
Emilio narrowed his gaze as she plucked one up, wondering where she was going with that. Perhaps he had a gut feeling as to what she was doing, but maybe he didnât want to believe sheâd go that far. Regardless, all became clear seconds later as flames erupted in her hands, the rose completely turning to ash. And there Savana sat, in a composed manner with a little smile.
It was a scene that stunned everyone in that room. Not Reuben, of course. Even at the bold gesture by Savana, he merely smirked quietly. If anyone else had made such a move, if it had been some bachelorette who had burned a rose in front of Emilio like that, Reuben wouldâve reacted differently. But⊠he was different. That whole year had been a testament to that. He gave no signs of being offended by her actions, only sitting there calmly beside her.
Gianna had made the mistake of taking a sip of her wine, because as soon as the rose was burned, she nearly choked. Even a guard stepped forward on instinct, but she waved a hand at him to say it was fine. She grabbed a napkin to wipe her mouth, and then just laughed. Emilio shot her a look, as if bewildered that she thought this was funny.
âThese dates youâve arranged,â Reuben then spoke, his voice just as even as Savanaâs had been. He studied his father, noting the flabbergasted look in the older manâs eyes but Reuben remained composed. âThere will be no need for them. It has already been well established,â he pointed out. âThat my choice was made a long time ago, though⊠it was never a choice. It wouldâve always been her.â It was a proclamation that was spoken in a simple manner. He was serious, though his tone didnât have to be laced with tense sternness for the point to get across.
Glancing downward, Reuben moved his hand toward Savanaâs thigh, gently brushing off the little pile of stray ashes that had fallen onto her.
Once again, Emilio was left speechless, now even more so since it was Reuben who had replied now. Gianna merely smirked, taking another sip of her wine as she glanced back at her husband. âPlease, Emilio,â she scoffed. âDonât look so offended by a fallen rose. If anythingâŠâ Gianna hummed. âI would think such a gesture would earn at least some respect.â She turned her attention back to Savana, and smiled again. âReally, dear. If youâre waiting for this woman to crack, you may be waiting for an eternity.â
Savana wouldnât step or cross any line, she respected the people she was speaking to. Not because they were Royal, but because they were Reubenâs parents. Had anyone else questioned her, or even him, sheâd tell them just where those questions could go. Again, she wasnât a lady that was always prim and proper. If that was what his father wanted, bachelorettes that looked like pretty dolls, sheâd burn them and watch them melt like one. Was she offended? not at all, if anything, she found it humorous, because they couldnât compare to her anyway.
She was fine because she knew where she stood, she wasnât going anywhere either. If that was what Emilio wanted, was for her to put herself aside to pave way for some other person. not going to happen. Savana kept her eyes on his father, reaching for the bun in her hair, she removed the small bobby pin, letting her hair fall into a soft ponytail. She was serious about Reuben, just as she was serious about not letting anyone, not even royal princesses come close.
Hearing his mother choking on the wine, Savana was ready to offer her a napkin, but she was fine. She wasnât surprised by his motherâs reaction, but she appreciated that she thought it was funny in a way. a bold move on Savanaâs part.
Sitting there quietly, she listened as Reuben spoke, his tone calm, just as hers been. Savana smiled hearing him say it wouldâve always been her. Though calm on the outside, her heart was racing at his words. She couldnât help but melt at the proclamation once again. Probably one of the only times anyone would ever see her go soft. It was when she was with Reuben. She felt his hand movement, glancing down for a moment as Reuben brushed off whatever was left of the ashes. She leaned towards him, placing a kiss on his cheek, as she reached for his hand, taking it, intertwining their fingers.
âIâm not possessive, but I am quite direct, and stand my ground.â if these bachelorettes think they even have a chance, itâs going to burn before they can think to say hello.

âI was gonna say the same thing about you,â Sibel pointed out, smiling brightly in triumph at their shared brain waves. âSynergy.â She laughed softly. But it was true, too. Anything with the other was fine with them, especially since they were still on such a high from the previous night. Honestly, she couldnât imagine separating right now. Sure, they could still talk to each other telepathically, but that wasnât something they could do miles away from each other. They still kinda had to be fairly close. And Sibel just⊠wanted to keep being close. It was all she wanted. She hadnât wanted something so bad in a while.
âMilkshakes and bike riding confirmed!â she agreed. âItâs a date.â It was a simple statement, but one that held a lot of meaning. Sibel meant it. It could definitely be a date⊠if Izabel wanted it to be. Her eyes lit up and she grinned. âAnd if we wanted to be super dramatic, we could pretend the bikes are horses and weâre galloping through the town. We just need some paper crowns and weâll be set!â Her energy seemed to never waver.
[ time skip ]
The diner wasnât busy at all, which wasnât that much of a surprise since school was still in session back at Acadia. Sibel sat across from Izabel at the booth, peering hard at the menu even though she already knew the options by heart. âOkay,â she finally spoke, looking over the menu at Iza and raising an eyebrow. âThis is the most important question you will ever be asked,â Sibel explained with a slow nod, making it way more dramatic than it needed to be. Actually, there was no reason for this to be dramatic at all but she was one to entertain. âNo pressure. Just the fate of the world may be in your hands now.â
Stifling laughter under her breath, she lowered the menu and leaned forward more, looking Izabel dead in the eye. â⊠Chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry?â
They knew they wanted milkshakes, now what kind was the question. Meanwhile, the waiter was just kind of standing beside the booth awkwardly, holding a pen and little notepad as he blinked in surprise at the drama of Sibelâs tone. But hell, now he was kind of curious as to what Izabel was gonna say, glancing at her in wonder.Â
Izabel liked to check out the town, whenever she spent time outside of the academy she would find adventure in it. At first she was nervous because she was new to this place. However, meeting Sibel had made her feel more at ease and calm during her time here. There was so much to do, and at times, Izabel felt like they spent so much studying and not really enjoying what the town had to offer as well. School was important but so was living their life as they should.
This was her first date, or well, date date. Sheâs has actually gone out with someone and it meant more than just being friends. âYou know, you make it sound like we should take a road trip. Travel from place to place.â she chuckled at the riding horses comment, sheâd go anywhere with Sibel, no questions asked. Izabel couldnât help how she gravitated towards the other siren, it was when she could see the excitement in Sibelâs eyes, and just her emotions, it would draw Izabel closer.
Oh.  Izabel settled to the spot across from her, seeing how Sibel made the scene, getting the atmosphere ready. Izabel focused on her, after looking at the menu, she knew what she wanted. âIs this a phone a friend option?â she asked with a raise brow. She chuckled, this felt like one of those intense game shows, where the question is asked, and she must carefully choose an option. âOh, well, surely I must have an answer, I donât want the world to end.â pausing, âthough, if my last moments are with you, Iâd kindly be happy in my final hours.â she winked.
Chocolate, Vanilla, or Strawberry? and Izabel laughed for a good few minutes. âChocolate.â she stated without hesitation. Chocolate always when it came to ice cream, however she did prefer vanilla cake.
As the waiter jotted down her order, he waited for Sibel to place hers. And once the two were waiting on the milkshakes to come. Izabel easily stood up, not really wanting to sit where she was, and moved over towards where Sibel was sitting. Scooting down, making sure that Sibel was pressing against the wall of the booth, in a corner.Â
âJust the milkshake?â she leaned her elbow on the counter, looking up at her. Her movements slow, almost as if she was calculating her every move, reaction, but Izabel was just being a tease. She just wanted to see Sibel blush.

We see each other as equals.
That remark had especially been lingering at the forefront of Emilioâs mind. He still wasnât at ease, even after the dinner, even when Savana gave direct answers to what he asked. But still, he had his thoughts, more things that would come to be expressed. They were all seated in a large and comfortable living space, flames roaring in the fireplace and giving the room more warmth. It was a scene that couldâve been expected based on previous interactions. Emilio and Gianna sat a part in separate chairs, all while Reuben and Savana sat together. Close, secure in each otherâs presence.
Emilio took a sip of his drink, the light from the fireplace illuminating one part of his face. âPardon me for failing to express this at dinner. I certainly wouldnât thrive to have a guest lose their appetite for any reason,â he stated, and if one were paying attention, they may have noticed the mildly condescending manner of his tone at the last statement. Reuben sure did, narrowing his eyes as he eyed his father. Emilio was especially looking at Savana. âAnd while I donât necessarily need to question your feelings, it would be foolish of me not to question his.â
Even Gianna seemed tense in her seat, giving her husband a look but he ignored the other eyes laid on him. âReuben is a prince. He is a member of a royal family. Each family takes its status seriously, and so does he,â Emilio continued. And when his son opened his mouth, the father raised a hand as if to silence him. âWhile he has brought someone home, that does not negate the fact that there are bachelorettes prepared for him to meet. Those from various families.â Oof. He never broke eye contact with Savana, wanting to gauging her every reaction.
âAnd he will meet with them. Dates have been arranged,â Emilio further explained. âAnd upon choosing someone, as per duty and expectation, a rose will be given.â Some may have found it comical that it seemed like a reflection of that reality tv show, but it wasnât a laughing matter in the way Emilio stated it blankly. Reuben and Savana seemed to have already professed their love in front of him previously, but that still didnât keep him from saying all of this. Maybe it was a test too.
They all settled in the living room space, by the fireplace. Savana taking a seat next to Reuben. She noted that his parents sat apart in separate chairs. Although they had finished dinner, she had a feeling that his father wasnât quite done on the topic. It was clear by how he was looking at them both. Even now, as his attention was towards them, mostly her. While this really wasnât a staring match, or even a match at all, Savana wasnât one to back down. Especially when she heard his next set of words.
âIs it that hard to believe that he has fallen in love?â she asked tilting her head. His father could question her about her feelings, she didnât really care about that. The real question was, why didnât his father believe Reuben, why did love have to be a something negative. At least that is what she could sense from his father, his mother on the other hand, Savana could see it was something she wanted. This was real, not some display, or deception.
âSo what he wants doesnât matter? Have you even asked him, or even listened to his thoughts on the matter? or is it what you just think is best?â she asked, not at all being disrespectful but she was getting to the point. She understood with royal families, one must pass down the line by being associated with other royal families. But this was their son, he wasnât someone they could move around to bend at their will. He had thoughts, emotions, he had a right to say what he wanted. Hearing the word bachelorettes, Savana adjusted her position on the couch, she smirking a bit, at the ridiculous mention of such a thing, but she didnât break eye contact with his father.
âYouâre really just wasting their time.â Savana stated flatly, and she meant the females in general. As if that would even occur, have them step through the damn door, she dared him. âA rose you say?â she stated, noting a bouquet of roses in a vase not too far from her. âSurely not red.â she stated motioning to pick up one, gesturing to the rose as if itâs the one that would be chosen. Careful not to touch the thorns, Savana gave a light smile, before burning it in her hand, watching the petals turn black and then turn to ash. It wasnât a threat but if Emilio was testing her, the message was basically, no one is fucking going near Reuben, or sheâd roast their asses.

Missing classes. Please. Sibel knew at that point in time, they werenât going to any classes for the rest of the day. But maybe the professors believed the statement, that or they were too annoyed to listen to anything else the students had to say. School work was the least of Sibelâs concerns at the moment, not that they ever were a priority to her. Iza was the biggest priority of all now. Being around her made her block out shit even more than she already did. And she liked every second of it. So, she flashed a dramatic smile at the professors before sauntering out of the room with Izabel.
âNope. And donât know who it was in those videos, but it wasnât us,â Sibel joked. Not too bad, right babe? Oh shit. That came out of left field or maybe it didnât. She was just taken aback, her mouth running dry before she smiled widely. âRight, babe,â she declared with a laugh, and she wasnât complaining when she was tugged closer. Sibel grinned and kissed her, feeling like it had been an eternity since she had. Then a lightbulb turned on in her head.
âSo, I was thinking,â Sibel started, still holding her hand and casually making their arms swing a little as they walked down the hallway. She did the same thing as before, spinning around on her heel and walking backwards. âWanna go into town?â She inquired with a grin, having no hesitation about suggesting they skip classes. She did so all the time, and that point, it seemed like Izabel would be down. âWe could go to the arcade, go to the beach, get some milkshakes at the diner, rent some bikes and ride aroundâŠâ Sibel listed out some options but then tilted her head at her. âOr⊠anything else you wanna do?â
Once they were actually out, Izabel let out a breath, mostly because she couldnât believe the amount of confidence she held in that room. At the same time, she was proud of herself for speaking out. Sometimes, the students needed to speak up as well, if they were to listen to the professors all the time, and not have a voice, they all would end up in this so called detention. The irony was, they did speak out, and hence, ended up in detention anyways.
Izabel laughed, knowing well it was them, but the picture quality really was terrible. Sibelâs reaction made Izabel smile once again, this girl practically made her smile so much her cheeks hurt. She liked that a lot, she couldnât remember the last time she was this happy. Kissing her back as feeling Sibel close, put Izabel at ease. They really were the only ones in the hallway, everyone else was probably still in class, and it felt nice not having so many people around.Â
Walking alongside Sibel, she smiled seeing her walking backwards as she thought about Sibelâs question. She really didnât want to go back to class right now, and going into town, sounded like fun. or was it more like a date? she slightly blushed at the thought. âMilkshakes sounds good, and bike riding, I havenât done that in a long time.â she was one to explore, though she knew her sister was protective of her when she was younger. âAnything that involves you, is what I want to do. Even if itâs just a walk, or a trip to get snacks. Whatever it may be, Iâm happy.â she stated with a nod, lightly squeezing her hand.Â

It was interesting, the comparison of how the parents were reacting. One was tense, not able to fully swallow down that all of those words may be true. The other was relaxed, donning a smile as they watched with genuine joy. One had questions, the other didnât and saw the answers because they were right in front of them. Gianna glanced toward her husband, who was still eyeing the couple in tense uncertainty. She, on the other hand, did not share his opinions. If anything, she was delighted with that genuine look of love in her sonâs eyes. It was true that maybe in the past, she wasnât sure if Reuben would end up as the clone of Emilio.
Maybe she was glad he wasnât. Seeing love like that right there? Gianna hadnât known that with Emilio. Their marriage had been arranged. She could say she loved Emilio in general, sure, but she wasnât in love. And she knew it was less so with him. But if she wasnât able to have that, she was glad Reuben was.
Reuben kissed her in return. There was no sign that made it seem like he didnât want that. He seemed⊠so at ease. At peace, physically and mentally. He hadnât felt this way in⊠hell, his entire life. He knew coming into this trip that his father would be skeptical, maybe make an effort as to not admit the truth of what he saw in front of him. This wasnât a falsification of romance. The definition of love was right there. Tightening his jaw, Emilio finally just released a quiet hum of thought. âIs that so?â He murmured, though it was more rhetorical.
Gianna sent him a sharp side-eye, as if silently telling him to quit drilling the girl. And his son, for that matter. âThat is lovely, darling,â she told her son. âSheâs a keeper, that one. I knew it the moment I saw her.â Okay, maybe that was overcompensating. She was being a little overdramatic about when she knew, but she really had enjoyed her time around Savana. She held her fork, pointing it back and forth between the couple. âHelen of Troy,â she stated as if a reminder.
Savana admired the woman across from her, Gianna really did live by her own terms and didnât allow anyone else to change that. Reubenâs father would do or say what he wanted, but Gianna would speak up if needed, she was a woman that was not easily silenced. Again, they had a lot in common. Savana looked back at Emilio and he was still staring at them. She continued to eat her food, there was a lovely spread of food in front, and she loved to eat.
If his father had more questions, Savana would answer, did she want their approval? in a way yes and no, certainly sheâd love for them to understand the relationship. However, sometimes that wasnât the case. Only Savana and Reuben knew what they felt, and what was spoken between them, even without words. She was just happy to hear his mother in support of them.
Seeing Reuben smile, seeing him happy, that was enough for her. He was at ease, which made her at ease. She didnât need the bracelet to communicate that to her. There were moments she shared with him, that meant the world. Wouldnât his parents be able to see that difference? this wasnât something that could be faked, or else why would she even be here? if this wasnât serious, why would Reuben go out his way like this? she wondered if his father thought about that.
Sheâs a keeper, that one. I knew it the moment I saw her. Savana couldnât help the blush, feeling her cheeks heat up. Helen of Troy, she still couldnât get over that compliment. âThank you.â she stated with a smile, and she really was grateful for Gianna. For her understanding, and just kindness in general. Savana was appreciative. âHe is everything to me.â she stated to both Gianna and Emilio âWe see each other as equals. I didnât fall in love with him because he has status, I fell in love because of who he is.â Savana stated making that clear again, not for Gianna but for Emilio.

There were various people Sibel became friends with from getting into trouble like that. Random scenarios. It didnât matter what it was. She had some partners in crime she could count on to follow her into shit that would bring massive consequences. And though she had been friends with Izabel and had liked hanging out with her before, she didnât think Iza would be one to go along with anything of that sort. Sibel had dragged people into shit before, but she just didnât think Iza would agree. Hell, she had been stunned when she agreed to sneak into the pool well past closed hours. Now, there they were, fighting the administration together without hesitation.
Izabel was confident during the whole time in that room. And Sibel had to force herself not to totally grin during every second, especially with every stern word that came from the other siren. It was a wonder to behold. She could listen to Izabel talk all day and night, but getting a first-row seat in her firmly protesting the professorsâ claims was gold.
And as far as magic goes, I hardly thinking a couple of students swimming is a big deal.
Yes, babe! Go off! Sibel blurted telepathically, the adrenaline rapidly rushing through her. Like, say it louder for the people in the back. Honestly, she had been so close to exclaiming that out loud. Upon realizing she had casually called Izabel babe, she felt her cheeks reddened but she was still smiling anyway. Then she actually laughed out loud, which prompted the professors to shoot their attentions toward Sibel again. Her eyes snapped to them and she just gave them an impatient look, as if daring the professors to try them.
The one who had been speaking grumbled. âThis is not-â He began to continue, only for the other professor to step toward him and whisper in his ear. Both looked irritated. Maybe they just werenât wanting to admit that the students had brought up some valid points. It was an annoying argument since the professors knew they caught them, but still. Everything going on with magic was technically of more importance than a few students taking a dip in a pool. At least it had been on school campus, right? It wasnât like they werenât safe, not counting the wards being down.
Sighing, he turned back to the students. âOkay, enough. Listen up. Both of you,â he stated, crossing his arms. âDetention for the next week. 3 to 4 pm, each week day. Weâll inform you of which classroom soon. Understood?â
ââK, bet,â Sibel responded a split second later, already out of her chair. And she had taken Izabelâs hand too, gently tugging for her to follow.
Izabel had never been in this kind of situation, where she was in trouble or had to be called into the office. She just wasnât that kid that would be rebellious or break any rules. Perhaps, she needed that change in her life, she always did what others told her to. She had to be an example, but she didnât want to be that kind of person anymore. So what if they had snuck out, and it didnât matter to her if that was something they werenât supposed to do. Whether her sister thought Sibel was a bad influence or not, Izabel didnât care. She made her choice and chose to follow Sibel. If they wanted to put blame, or make them feel guilty, Izabel would say bring it on.
She knew that her actions surprised Sibel, after all Izabelâs manners didnât scream rebellious, or one to get in trouble. However, Izabel loved how she felt when she was with Sibel. Free, and okay to do whatever her heart desired, to not always be confined to being alone, but to have fun, experience adventure. It was taking risks, and Izabel did, and would continue to do so. Izabel could also be sharp, quick witted in her logic and explanations.Â
Yes, babe go off! Izabel had caught that, and she laughed, but also felt her heart quicken. Izabel found that to be cute and she liked how Sibel caught herself realizing she had sent it telepathically. Babe. she couldnât help but smile. Izabel was ready to say more, when the professors talked amongst themselves. Both Sibel and Izabel had a point, they were wasting time by confronting two students who decided to take a late night swim. There were other pressing matters, if they were to be punished, do so now.  âAre we free to go?, we are missing classes....professor.â she stated looking up at them.
The detention bit, caused Izabel to raise a brow, at this point she didnât care. 3 to 4 pm, alone, with Sibel? Sounds good. It wasnât like they were going to separate them. She then felt Sibelâs hand take hers and off they went, leaving the office behind. Izabel laughed as they were now alone again. âI donât believe they had a solid case.â she gave a light shrug before turning to Sibel. âBut itâs with you, and Iâm content.â she smiled âNot too bad, right babe?â Izabel smirked, she was teasing yes, but also liked how that sounded. They were holding hands, and Izabel lightly tugged Sibel closer.Â

âI love him.â
It was a proclamation not to be questioned. She said it with conviction, a truth written in stone. And it had been the same with the way she explained her stance on status and the like. She was not a gold digger, no matter what Emilio may have thought. She was adamant about making that point clear, and she did. Reuben wasnât paying attention to Savanaâs bracelet. He wasnât sure whether or not it was changing due to the swelling of emotions in his heart. Regardless, those three words in particular put his soul at ease, and he smiled. Reuben looked to her, blocking out the knowing that his fatherâs eyes were set on them like daggers.
The prince was reminded every day that he found something he didnât think he ever would, not before that year. He found her. He found love. And now, his family was seeing that firsthand.
Emilio gripped the knife and fork a little more as he watched them. Every word from her was still in the process of settling. It was like he was trying to decide whether or not to believe her, even though the way she confidently spoke shouldâve given him no reason to question her. Perhaps Emilio was just looking for a reason to accuse her of false testimony. His wife, on the other hand, was relaxed and actually looking like she was in awe of the scene before her. She couldnât hold back the smile as her eyes darted back and forth between her son and Savana. âAnd⊠do you love her?â She then spoke slowly, the question directed to Reuben.
âI do,â he responded easily, intertwining his fingers with Savana.
Emilio was a little flabbergasted by the declaration coming from his son. Maybe it was because he had never been in that position himself. Heâd never been in those shoes where he was proclaiming something like that to someone, even to his own wife. So, whether he admitted it or not, it was only because he couldnât imagine a scenario where his son didnât share the exact same line of thinking, not having followed in the same footsteps.
âWell, then,â Gianna continued, trying to hide the amazement and interest of the whole thing as she glanced at her husband. âI think that perfectly answers your question, hm?â
Again there was silence even after she proclaimed that she loves their son. Nothing would change that, not even the look that Emilio was giving them. She had never fallen in love before, and she was certain that Reuben was her forever, her eternal love, if anyone wanted to question it, they wouldnât find deception but truth. Savana suddenly then began to feel a warmth in her heart, and she glanced down at the bracelet, knowing that she was feeling Reubenâs emotions, and it was the exact same feeling she expressed before dinner. The immense love she held for him. She turned to look at Reuben, seeing his smile.
She could never get enough of him, here they were at dinner with his parents, and yet, the moment their eyes met, she was lost in him. The security of knowing that he was with her. She then heard his mother ask And... do you love her? and Savana could feel her heart fluttering as she smiled back at Reuben. The feeling of his hand intertwining with hers.
I do.
Her heart swelled at the response, she knew yes, but hearing it. Out loud, him declaring it in the open that he loves her too. Savana couldnât stop herself from leaning into him, and placing a kiss on his lips.Â
When she pulled away, she looked back at Gianna, and smiled, she didnât know what else his father wanted to know. Other then, she was here for Reuben, and that this meeting was just as important to her as it is to him. His father seemed, in shock, as if he didnât know how to respond to what she had said. Was it that hard to believe their son was in love?
It wasnât like there was an arranged marriage or meeting, or else that would have happened, right?

lastingstargazeâ:Â
I donât believe that incriminating at all. Sibel glanced back at the video again as Iza continued speaking. The footage looked grainy. And Iza was making some valid points. There were tons of students in that school, so why did they just know it was the two of them? Like, they werenât wrong, but the two sirens werenât going to roll over that easily. It would merely make the professors more irritated, but neither Sibel and Izabel seemed to care. They were going to continue pushing, see how far they could push their luck with rejecting the idea that they were somehow guilty. It was honestly kind of fun, probably because she was doing it with Iza.
Sibel shouldnât be enjoying it as much as she was, but alas. Are you trying to say weâre guilty? because neither her nor I agree. With this. Holy shit, be still her heart. The statements were sharp and confident, Iza not going to take any of this bullshit even if said bullshit was actually the truth. Sibel sat there with her mouth open a bit, almost choking on nothing but her spit. She turned her head a bit to look at Izabel, just staring at her profile, feeling like she wasnât worthy to be in such an awesome presence. A smile came, Sibel now attempting not to laugh as she glanced to the floor.
She did end up stifling some laughter under her breath, only to swallow as she met the eyes of the professor again. âWhether or not you agree, Ms. Liveira, is far from the point,â the man countered in a matching tone. âYour opinion holds no water, and stalling wonât get you anywhere. Acadia keeps up with when students leave and return to the school. Security footage isnât the only thing the administration uses,â he pointed out. âThere are various spells in place to know who passed what sensors. Security purposes. Safety precautions. A nonverbal roll call.â
Yeah, Sibel totally rolled her eyes while he was talking, looking like she was bored. âOkay, you know what I think?â Sibel raised her voice a bit to receive his attention, slapping her palms against the armrests.
He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. âI donât care, Sibelââ
ââ I think this is pretty dumb,â she declared, staring at him. âDoesnât the town, or like, the world have bigger problems right now? Valoria, magic problems, strigoi still out there and stuff. Like, shit. Why you guys so pressed over some students swimming?â Sibel huffed, crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow at him.
Izabel didnât know what bothered her more, the fact that the school went off of a video that barely showed any faces in particular. Or the fact that time was wasted when she really could be spending it studying, or being with Sibel. Of course Izabel was still respectful, but her tone still was a bit on edge due to the annoyance of this situation. They wanted to blame them for something sure, but that wasnât enough evidence. She saw that Sibel was speechless, seeing the look on the other sirens face. Izabel smiled at that.
She would have been caught doing anything like this before, and Izabel at this point was in it. She would rather do this with Sibel than with anyone else. This was probably not the character that most of her teachers would have expected, then again, Izabel was not someone to be predictable. She sighed as she listened to the teacher speak, raising a brow at the holds no water comment. Were they trying to be funny?
âAnd now youâre stating you track us, are we animals? do we each have a number?â she stated narrowing her eyes. Whatever the safety measure of it all was about. Clearly that wasnât the case when the event happened âAgain, plenty of students come back, and as far as magic goes, I hardly thinking a couple of students swimming is a big deal. â she really should bite her tongue , she was sure to get in trouble for that comment.Â
If detention or some kind of punishment was due, Izabel would rather hear it and just leave the office. She didnât want to be here arguing with the professor over something as innocent as going for a swim. Like itâs a crime. For crying out loud. This is ridiculous. if theyâre going to punish us, do it already. Izabel crossed her arms, as if waiting to hear what else the professor stated.Â

lastingstargazeâ:
There was a silence that befell the party in the room before Savana responded, some tense quiet where even a pin couldâve been heard dropping against the floor. It was further testament to the difference of auras between the parents. The intensity levels differed, something that had been clearly evident upon their arrival. Gianna had the air of a queen, carried herself in a poised manner, and had been quite excited about showing off the house and all of the renovations. However, compared to her husband, she was much more laid back. Emilio, on the other hand, was the one that would get down to the nitty gritty in terms of questioning.
As the newcomer spoke, Emilio listened to the answer and took in every word. It was similar to the way Reuben listened. He listened to every word that every person said to him, and retained that information. Chicago. Only child. Raised by a single parent. Emilioâs eyes narrowed at the latter comment. He was aware she was not a royal, but the way she said that made it seem like she was far from them in terms of status. There were plenty of moroi who still had family significance, even their own group of guardians. Savanaâs answer, however, had a lack of anything remotely similar to that.
Emilio couldâve been wrong - she couldâve just been simply vague - but he doubted he was.
Which made his next questions all that more significant and tense. His mind had thorns of suspicion pricking against it. âI see,â he stated in response, but was quick to continue. âForgive the platitude of my next question. It is one that is quite commonplace amongst families, though itâs one you will hear,â Emilio explained in a casual tone, licking his teeth as he continued eyeing her. ââ But what are, pray tell, your intentions with this family?â It was interesting, the way that was worded. He didnât say with our son, but family, as if the family name as a whole was more important.
Reuben paused, straightening up more where he sat as he studied his father. He said nothing, though he had a feeling what the older man was getting at.
âYou are here as a moroi, yes, though one who lacks royal status,â Emilio stated simply, his tone barely expressing any emotion. He didnât say it directly, but he was basically asking her if status was what she was after. If she wished to become a part of the family to share in that royal standing.
There was a silence, where no one had spoken, and though it may have been the kind of air that screamed intimidation, Savana still remained composed. It was true that she didnât come from royal status. Her mother was living proof of that, she was raised to live as if she was much more than a title. Which is why she didnât get nervous or intimidated if she were to come face to face with Royals. At the academy she had found several that were either students or professors. Even when she met Reuben, his status didnât have her judging him and as she was there, before the royals now. She paid her respects, but she wasnât here for status. She was here because she loved their son.Â
One could say there was silent match going on back and forth between herself and his father. Savana wasnât one to allow the intimidation to get to her. She understood why his father was cautious, why he wanted to know about someone who very well could be here for all the wrong reasons. But that wasnât Savana, she wasnât interested in any of that. Once upon a time ago, she may have been, after all she didnât show emotion. But love came in unexpectedly, and it changed her.
what are your intentions with this family? he really went there, didnât he. She noted Reubenâs reaction and change in posture, she straightened up as well. âPardon my next words, or at least in how I speak them.â she stated looking back at Emilio. âI have no interest in status, or royalty. I am not one to be defined by titles. I may not have come from a family with that kind of upbringing or elegance. I really just donât care for it.â she stated bluntly. âHowever, that does not mean I will disrespect such titles or status. That has not even crossed my mind.â
âMy intentions is just being with your son. Being happy, wherever that may take us, wherever that may lead. Family is important, and I may not have had that growing up. I certainly see the impact family has made in his life, and a part of who he is today.â she leaned back into her chair.
âI love him.â in other words she was telling his father that Reuben is the most important person in her life and she will cherish anything and everything he loves.
