Phew, that actually worked! Even if he’s been rejected, the demon keeps up the act, instead plopping down and fishing out a fork from behind his back.

“That’s too bad. More for me, though!” Really, it’s…kinda odd how quickly he’s able to diffuse a situation like that–unless you consider how he’s treated in his own show.

Honestly, it was the mix of any obvious fear and not having egged the joke on. Of course, anger issues come into play, but luckily they don’t stay for long if things sort themselves out. And hopefully they can, usually.

And here’s where he pauses and reaches a hand behind his back, searching in the Hammerspace for a comical amount of time until he pulls out– “A quiche! You want some?”

He’s not even shifted out of his humanoid form, but he looks greatly unamused. That is, until the demon pulls out an actual quiche. 

“Smart move. But no, I don’t eat the stuff. Doesn’t agree with my stomach.” But you’d eat ink just because you were mad????
