What do you think Genos' reaction would be if he discovered that Saitama's mental health depends on him? And it's not just the "oh I would be so sad" type, is the "I would lose myself and I wouldn't even care about destroying the Earth" type.
You see....I was incredulous that after Genos absorbed his core's future memories, he failed to connect the dots that Saitama went that far because of him. That it was his death that made Saitama snap to the point of almost destroying the earth (and blowing up Jupiter) without a care. Alarmingly so. And then you realize Genos' own death was barely a concerned blip on his own radar (believing Saitama could just magically 'fix' everything no matter what happens.) Flabbergasted that his own disregard, self-worth and insecurities would fester under the ~splendor of Saitama's greatness~ to internalize such a colossal misunderstanding that 'he means nothing to Saitama'......D: Just...*violently shakes his shoulders* Genos baby, no. (His - and well, their chronic obliviousness, miscommunication, and dramatic irony reaching critical levels of frustration here)
Ahem, all that is to say...is that ONE is certainly aware. And if mp100's Separation Arc tells us anything, we can bet ONE's got this unresolved conflict in their relationship slowly simmering on the backburner for now, to be addressed all in due time. (Because the manga's already shown us their cautionary 'bad ending'; what's left is for them to progress where that doesn't happen again.) So will Genos ever learn (his own worth) how much he actually means to Saitama, and will Saitama ever consciously acknowledge how much Genos means to him?? As his very important emotional anchor tethering his sanity and humanity? Without conveniently forgetting, taking Genos' presence for granted, or continually sweeping it under the rug, leaving 'tomorrow's problems to tomorrow's him'?? I'd say only til ONE deems the time is right...

If they wanted to take land why must they also cruelly torture it's civilians? Especially the women? The children? What did they do...
Tumblr media
Hostages tortured to death. Parents executed in front of their children. Doctors beaten. Babies murdered. Sexual assault weaponised. No, not Hamas crimes. This is part of an ever-growing list of documented atrocities committed by Israel in the five months since 7 October – quite separate from the carpet bombing of 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza and a famine induced by Israel’s obstruction of aid. And yet while the western establishment media has been chock full of the most lurid allegations of savagery directed against Hamas, sometimes with little or no supporting evidence, Israeli atrocities are excused or quickly forgotten. Accusations against Hamas are endlessly reheated to paint a picture of a supremely dangerous and bestial militant group, in turn rationalising the slaughter and starvation of Gaza’s population to “eradicate” it as a terrorist organisation. But equally barbarous atrocities committed by Israel – not in the heat of battle, but in cold blood – are treated as unfortunate, isolated incidents that cannot be connected, that paint no picture, that reveal nothing of import about the military that carried them out. If Hamas’ crimes were so savage and sadistic they still need to be reported months after they took place, why does the establishment media never feel the need to express equal horror and indignation at equivalent or worse acts of cruelty and sadism being inflicted by Israel on Gaza – not five months ago, but right now? Israel's torture of doctors, its sexual assaults of Palestinian women, it's leaving premature babies to die after its forces stormed a hospital. Where is the outrage? This is part of a pattern of behaviour by the western media that leads to only one possible deduction: Israel’s five-month-long attack on Gaza is not being reported. Rather, it is being selectively narrated – and for the most obscene of purposes. Through consistent and glaring failures in their coverage, establishment media – including supposedly liberal outlets, from the BBC and CNN to the Guardian and New York Times – have smoothed the way for Israel to carry out mass slaughter in Gaza, what the World Court has assessed as plausibly a genocide. The role of the media has not been to keep us, their audiences, informed about one of the greatest crimes in living memory. It has been to buy time for US President Joe Biden to keep arming his most useful of client states in the oil-rich Middle East, and to do so without damaging his prospects for re-election in November’s US presidential vote. If Russian President Vladimir Putin was a madman and a barbarous war criminal for invading Ukraine, as every western media outlet agrees, what does that make Israeli officials, when every one of them supports far worse atrocities in Gaza, directed overwhelmingly at civilians? And more to the point, what does that make Biden and the US political class for materially backing Israel to the hilt: sending bombs, vetoing demands for a ceasefire at the United Nations, and freezing desperately needed aid? Worrying about the optics, the president expresses his discomfort, but he carries on helping Israel regardless. While western politicians and commentators worry about some imaginary existential threat those brief events of five months ago pose to the nuclear-armed state of Israel, Israel is quite literally wiping Gaza off the map day by day, quite undisturbed.

“don’t ruin your mental health by constantly looking at all the videos and tweets”
no girlie, i will ruin my mental health for that.
i will glady reblog constant tweets, posts, and videos for people to finally fucking understand what is happening, shouldn’t be happening. yes i cry at everything i see and read. my heart always feels heavy to find out/see more families are being brutally murdered. my never ending need to hold everyone is there, all the fucking time, but it’s not going to stop me from reblogging it.
i don’t actually think you understand how much trauma those families have. how much pain they are in.
and what did most of your most loved celebs do last night? nothing. sure, some spoke out, by which was a very few, but that’s not enough. they all have had every chance to speak up, to donate, and demand a ceasefire, but they didn’t. they would rather hand out stupid awards for their movies, while children, women, and men were being murdered at the same time they collected those awards.
fuck the celebs
and fuck the academy

hi
what if the chorus of fight or flight by conan gray
" fight or flight, i'd rather die than have to cry infront of you " is genos because he thinks crying is a sign of weakness and he'd hate nothing more than for saitama to think he's weaker than he himself thinks he is (BUT SAITAMA DOESNT THINK HES WEAK AT ALL AAGAHHAGHH)
and " fight or flight, i'd rather lie than tell you im in love with you " is saitama because he believes that he doesn't deserve genos because he's too good, too good to him and too good to be true, he thinks genos is amazing and compared to himself he aint shit and he thinks if he lets himself confess to genos he'll ruin the boy's life by being his and he thinks he'll lose him AND HE DOESNT WANNA LOSE HIM AND EVERYTHING THEY'RE THINKING IS COMPLETELY OPPOSITE IN REALITY BUT THEY DONT KNOW IT BUAGHQHAGQHAHWJSUGSBSJFH

one thing i love about saigenos is that genos is so genuinely happy to have saitama in his life. saitama’s given him a sense of purpose aside from revenge and suicidal tendencies. genos enjoys taking care of their house — cooking, cleaning, repairing saitama’s hero outfit, grocery shopping, all of the things that he can do with AND for saitama. genos no longer resorts to self-destruction because he wants to be alive — he wants to stay with saitama and live their mundane little life together. ergo, the scene where saitama touches genos’s core is one of their most heartfelt moments. saitama is proud and happy and hopeful that genos has finally found peace in living.
likewise, genos has given saitama a sense of purpose aside from a life of watching things from the sidelines and never feeling truly anything. saitama, when genos is not around, gets irritated and upset — we’ve seen it ourselves. because of genos, saitama now has several people who he can call his friends. genos has pushed saitama out of his house and into the world while saitama has given genos a house to call home from the world’s atrocities. genos has given him so much, and now that genos is dead (for the unforeseeable future), saitama has even gotten his wish of a perfect match — but at what cost? saitama is not happy; he is pissed and grieving beyond words can fathom. just when genos finally learned to live on his own, he’s killed for the sake of someone else’s pleasure. genos is killed because saitama loves him. he is at his breaking point. he had not cared much for the world before he knew genos and now he would tear the world apart to keep genos alive.

wait so garou loves tareo a lot. he’s super protective of him and always come in at the very last second to save the kid. garou is very oblivious to his protective nature over the kid but we can all see just how much he adores him. ergo, when cosmic garou finally sees tareo dead on the ground, he loses all his motivation to become evil. garou finally sees what destruction he’s brought about and hates it. he goes so far as to turn back time to prevent this terrible future.
on the other hand, we have saitama. he also clearly cares about genos. he’s constantly worrying that genos has gone and gotten himself destroyed in some way or another. like garou, he’s oblivious to how much he cares for genos. like garou, he always shows up to save the day at the very last second but unlike the self-proclaimed villain, he shows up after genos has already been hurt and the villain has destroyed most of everything. when saitama sees genos dead on the ground (parallel with garou’s experience with tareo later, which is not at all a coincidence), he doesn’t look at the destruction around him and try to think of a way to save everyone or fix the situation. saitama goes on a rampage. he destroys jupiter and jupiter’s moon, almost blows up earth without hesitation, and becomes so antagonistic that he looks like a villain (shaded face, large eyes devoid of empathy).
the only reason saitama doesn’t kill garou is because tareo requested him not to. saitama was completely, wholeheartedly ready to take a life. he didn’t think twice about the destruction he’d brought about on earth or on jupiter. he had gained a sense of purpose: to avenge genos. and it seems that he had no limitations on how far he would go to follow through with it. garou and saitama had two very different reactions to the death of the person they were clinging to (and i love it).
in summary, garou is a self-proclaimed villain with heroic tendencies while saitama is a self-proclaimed hero with villainous tendencies.
