Facts. I used to get it recreationally because it would calm me down and help me focus and socialize and I didn’t have insurance to even tell a doctor about it, much less buy it monthly. When my mom got promoted and got family health insurance, I tried to get adderall legally because I knew how it affected me and I had been diagnosed with ADD since I was little, but because they found weed in my system they assumed I was an addict and said they couldn’t give it to me despite knowing I was literally diagnosed with the one of the actual things the drug helps. Like who cares if I actually was an addict? It wouldn’t change the fact that I can’t get anything done without the drug, and it shouldn’t be what dictates whether or not you can even get the medicine.

i really hate that adderall has become like, a fun drug for people to do at parties because it's seriously increased the stigma against people with adhd who genuinely need it in order to function
