Hey, I'm Lindsay! I mostly just post random stuff that makes me laugh. I’m more active on my choices side blog, @linkysmommy and I’m the founder of the @itlivesproject
She is brightness, she is luminance. She will hypnotize you and drag you into her world. Her name...
... is Light Mode.
This drawing turned out a little more serious than I had originally intended. I get so many comments about using light mode for my computer and phone that it became the inspiration for some new artwork!
is what you're asking for really "accountability"?? or is it for a total stranger to self flagellate on social media until you feel satisfied that they've suffered enough for their supposed transgression??
so you dated the wrong person and learned a hard lesson. you chose the wrong major and had to start over again. you cherished a friend who backstabbed you. it sucks, but it’s also going to work out. that’s life; you learn, hurt, love, cry, laugh, and keep going. you experience setbacks and you grow and it’s all okay.
⚔ An immortal is dead and you're holding the murder weapon. ⚔
Sunset Phoenix is an action/mystery comic about an immortal kingpin and her criminal spy who were framed for the murder of a rival, and are trying to find the real killer before time runs out and the city succumbs to war.
Also I made it and worked hard on it and I think you should check it out because it's cool :)
Today, my older brother released his first single for his new psychedelic band, Astral Loop! And as a good little sister, I'm doing my part to try to spread the word as best I can. If you're into music, particularly the psychedelic genre, you should check it out! Even if you're not sure, give it a listen and see if you like it. I'm so proud of my talented brother and hope you love his music as much as I do.
(PS this song is really cute because he wrote it for his dog, pictured below)
tbf (as someone who works in the music industry and handles royalties), the max that 1000 streams will get someone is like, $5. But basing that on the number of 150 million tracks, Spotify is saving itself $750 million with everything added together by not paying artists the $5 that they earned. But something to consider is that a lot of artists have multiple tracks on Spotify, and you earn money by the small royalties adding up. If you have 40 tracks on Spotify, and each one got under 1000 streams and would've earned you like $3, that's $120 that you're not getting paid.
Honestly though, what they should do is pay artists more per stream. I'll get royalty reports that include royalties from Spotify that show $0 as the earning because the amount is so tiny, the spreadsheet rounds it down to zero. It'll be like, $0.000004. The spreadsheet will have hundreds of thousands of rows and only add up to like, $700 because each stream is so small. Pretty scummy that Spotify pays so little to the very people that give their platform a purpose in the first place.
