When I was 18 years old a friend an I got stranded in Northampton Mass after heading there to see a show. There were probably copious solutions to our predicament but… boys after hours in a strange town don’t think straight. Without a way home or a dollar to our names we decided to sleep in an ATM booth until the sun came up. Though I recall it was the people coming into open the bank that woke us. So with each gig that brings me back to Northampton I get to reflect on how far I’ve come. This shot was taken by Jared Herman in Northampton this September when I was playing the Academy of Music with the Wallflowers. That roof below me is The Parlor Room where I will be one month from now on Dec. 6th with the band. I love Northampton and I love playing this room. Will you be with us? Where should we crash?f
