Not to get emotional on main but I’ve been looking in second hand stores for sewing patterns, and I always find lying next to it a basket of handmade doilies, jumpers, quilts, and it’s almost more than I can bear. I knit, I crochet, I’ve given most lace types a go so I know the painstaking time that goes into each piece, and it feels so cruel to see them and to be offered them for two dollars fifty, two dollars fifty for a year of a woman’s life devoted to what she loved. I’ve been recreating my grandmother’s lace, hoping I can find in a missed stitch the connection I missed before her memories failed. But among her projects is a yellow tablecloth, 6 segments of crocheted lace, the 6th unfinished. I don’t even know if there was meant to be a 7th. You find the same in op shops, crocheted granny squares and sets of just 7, rewound wool still holding the shape of a ghost of a project. I like to imagine it holds something within it, something I could reach if only I picked it up and finished it. I wish I had time, to repair a thousand womens crafts, but I’m so short on time, so busy with projects I only hope will sit next to the work of these artists when I pass.

Me and @eshtaresht were having a totally normal conversation about trigun, but then they called Wolfwood's serum "magic vials" and i had a wonderful idea
Behold: Wolfwood's magic vials in all their glory
The magic vial in question is a liquid candy, and the packaging says "unicorn nectar" in russian.
I watch a ton of great youtube videos about halting and reversing desertification but now youtube recommends me a ton of videos of people using those techniques to turn desert ecosystems into farmland.
If you see these too, please downvote them. Going to desert ecosystems and planting food forests is not a trend we should be starting. Many plants and animals are endemic to those areas and those ecosystems are worth protecting. Deserts are not wastelands.
These videos mislead people into thinking that this is a good thing for the environment just because there is more green. Nothing could be further from the truth. There are so many actual forest ecosystems that need to be restored, we should not be wasting energy foresting deserts that have been deserts for millennia.
Did knives ever try to communicate with his plant sisters on what they wanted? Did he ever ask them what made them happy?? What was his plan past freeing plants from humans because it doesn't look like he was improving the quality of their lives past not sending into a Last Run but what would an improvement on their lives look like??
Do the Plants even know what they want? They must, from the sparse glimpses we get from their perspectives.
