Chapter 78 is now available in Japanese! This chapter comes with the publishing of this very sweet illustration of young Agott. An official colouring of her old robes! She has such a different attitude to the Agott we know today - how curious!

Following a hiatus, Chapter 52 of Kitchen of Witch Hat has also been published! I've not seen any indication that it'll return to monthly publishing, but any updates from Sato are good to see. Hopefully she takes her recovery at her own pace!

Shirahama has been invited as a featured guest to Toronto Comic Arts Festival (May 11-12). She drew this poster (reposted to her twitter today) for a previous year when she was invited but the event ended up being cancelled.

Question! But where do you read the translated chapters? I don’t think the website I’m using is the best.

Because of how this archive works I don't recommend unofficial sources on this blog, but here's a bit of info for you!

A little whilst back the ENG publisher for Witch Hat launched an online platform (KManga) for their manga and with it a "simultaneous" publishing of WHA chapters in English as they come out in Japan (they are currently coming out a week after the Japanese chapters). This, understandably, means that unofficial fan translators want to spend time translating, type setting and publishing their translations - so if you were reading through such a site, you'll notice the translations abruptly stop.

Unfortunately KManga has a particularly glaring flaw - it's only accessible for people in the USA. All other ENG readers either have to use a VPN to access and pay for the chapters, or hope someone rips & shares the chapters as they come out. In the latter case, reposting them anywhere where unofficial translations are posted would get the copyright hammer down on that place so quickly so you are unlikely to find links to those chapters without joining a WHA discord space, such as the Reddit's.

If you, like me, are not in the US and can't get onto KManga so need to access chapters this way to keep up I would strongly encourage you to make a Comic Days account and purchase the chapters in Japanese to support the official release (the chapters are very cheap). You can even read along a little with the help of image translation apps like Papago! And of course buying the English volumes when they're published.

Apologies that I can't be more specific here - I am relying on being in the good graces of the copyright holders with some of the content in the archive.

Yes absolutely, especially for something like that! There's only a few exceptions when it comes to reposting, but for a panel they wouldn't really apply! I hope all goes well!!

I've got some much needed admin to do! I was focused on an overhaul of how I've been filing things so it's more accessible to everyone, but in the process a lot of things haven't actually been uploaded!

Since I've got a focus on volumes at the moment, I'll be sharing all the stuff I've yet to upload pretty soon. This includes a number of volume cover scans, since I'm behind on sharing the full pages. Since the French special editions are a particular nightmare to edit (the intricate patterning has a slight sheen to it that does not scan well and generally needs manual selection when editing) I'll probably just share then with no post-scan tweaks for the sake of time for now.

Hi! I was at a Barnes and Nobels and I saw that there is a Witch Hat Atelier Kitchen spin off manga. I think it’s just the main cast making dishes using magic. I just wanted to let you know in case you didn’t know.

Yes, I believe the first two volumes are out in English by now. I've unfortunately not had much time to get the covers and bonus material all neat and in the index/archive but I do have a bunch squirreled away to upload at some point
