Zane a straight up stalker in most of my ships, Zane gets attached to someone and won't let go.

the reason Zane being a stalker doesn't usually come into play with my Zanus is because Janus is obsessed with Zane. Zane doesn't need to stalk Janus, he can get whatever information he wants just by asking.

but heres some more Zane centered messed up ones. these ones are from different AUs then the ones i posted before.

Zane can and will gas light his partner into a corner during fights 'I didn't start this fight, you did! and now your yelling at me! I thought you loved me!?'

Zane uses his families money to hire people to stalk the people he's interested in but eventually he gets jealous of the people he hired being so close to the person he likes so he ends up firing them. (or killing them.

In my AU, everyone is pretty chill with it, except for the fact they're all scared of Janus.

Janus scares everyone shitless.

The only one who has a problem with it is Garroth.

Garroth in my AU is a bit protective of Zane and Vylad.

He's scared of them being hurt so when Zane starts dating Janus who, in Garroths mind is a 'big scary monster' he kinda freaks out and tries to subtly convince Zane to break up with Janus but it doesn't work.

Zane doesn't see Garroths approval as important enough to break up with someone over.

Garroth Semi gets over it, but it takes a while, and he never fully trusts Janus.

Yes! I love this pairing, since Balto in PDH doesn't have much of a character besides being a bully i have a lot of room to make scenarios.

Balto in my AU is creepy, like stalker creepy.

when he becomes infatuated with someone he becomes extremely possessive and violent when it comes to people he cares for.

Zane in PDH has a very bad judge of character, he sees an angry, violent, semi good looking man and he swoons.

Balto noticed Zane in PDH and started bullying horribly, physically and mentally, and for some weird reason Balto got attached really quick to bullying Zane.

Zane's attitude was 'You can bully me if you want but can i hold your hand?'

Balto was into it and they started this really creepy, toxic, romantic relationship. Balto still abused and bullied Zane but they would kiss and hold hands and do other romantic stuff while Balto hurt him.

in my AUs they never exactly date, they're romantic, they have sex like that but it's more like a creepy abusive friends with 'benefits' situation in my AUs.

Despite them not exactly being in a relationship Balto has a tracker on Zane's phone and gets really pissed if Zane doesn't answer his texts or calls.

Zane is purely in the relationship because he thinks Balto is hot and he's kinda a masochist.

Okay, so my favorite Zanus headcanons and AUs come from the nature of cults and worship. I write Janus as viewing Zane as a deity, so their relationship is very off. Looking at it from a distance, you can tell something wrong but you can't tell what's wrong.

(I have multiple AUs and headcanons so I'll just go with my darkest Zanus AU, called 'my love is god', it's a really fucked up AU but i love it.)

Trigger warning for kidnapping, yanderes, torture, murder, cultish behavior, and eye horror.

I headcanon that they met at a fairly young age, middle school probably, in my AUs Janus got bullied really badly, (this was before they got all big and intimidating)

Zane chased off the bullies and accidentally befriended Janus in the process, Janus had never had someone show them kindness so they clung to Zane, and as they grew up things got worse.

It got especially bad in PDH when Zane was obsessing over the shadow knights. Pdh was when Janus started his shrine. Zanes hair, blood, teeth, clothing, spit and glasses are just some of the many things Janus collected.

Janus absolutely despised Balto and the Shadow Knights. Balto for the fact he bullied and abused Zane on a daily basis. And the Sks because they ignored Zanes adoration of them and they treat him like crap.

Janus has a mindset where they believe everyone should worship Zane but they also want to kill people who get to touchy with Zane.

In this particular AU Balto, Gene, Zenix, and Sasha are all killed off brutally. Janus held them captive and tortured them for two weeks before finally killing them and burying their bodies in the woods. Before they dumped their bodies they cut out their eyes and put them in their little 'shrine' for Zane.

Janus kills several more people they views as threats. Laurance, he bullied Zane, Nana, Ivan, Dante, he killed Dante because he looked to much like Gene to be 'safe', as well as several other bullies that Zane had.

Janus has cameras and listening devices in Zanes bedroom so he can watch over Zane and keep him 'safe'

Zane in PDH has no idea what's happening and is very distressed by all the sudden deaths of people he knew.

In FCU things change. As Zane gets and less naive he realizes that Janus is a bit off, he notices that people he doesn't like tend to go missing after he tells Janus about them. So Zane decides to test this by ranting about random, non connected people, and they go missing within the week Zane says anything.

Zane was going to call the police but the more Zane thinks about these things the more he likes the idea of Janus being obsessed with him.

Everyone treats Zane like crap so why would he get rid of the person who will do anything for him and won't ever leave?

Zane goes back to pretending to be naive to Janus' crimes but this time he has more purpose when he talks about people, if he's angry at someone and he wants them gone he'll act more visibly upset so Janus will get rid of them quicker.

Zane does avoid getting angry at his family in front of Janus, just in case.

In mystreet Janus and Zane live together but they aren't quite dating, Janus considers them to be dating, Zane doesn't

Zane gets a bit more interested in proper relationships outside of Janus, Zane loves Janus but Zane knows how fucked up their relationship is, he wants a nice relationship.

Zane ends up secretly going out with Travis, nothing serious, just a few dates, but Janus finds out.

Janus doesn't tell Zane they know, instead Janus invites Travis over and kills him. Janus hides the corpse in Zanes bed so when he goes to bed that night....Zane finds him.

Janus knocks Zane out and ties him up. Janus and Zane leave town and go to an old abandoned cabin in the woods where Janus gets Zane all to themselves.

Yay, I'm glad your back for more, especially when it comes to asks about this pairing, i love these two. these are PDH centered because thats where i have the most hcs.

in PDH Zane was pretty open with his feelings for Zenix, (not intentionally, Zane was just in puppy love with all the Sks and couldn't properly hide it)

Zenix at first tried to brush his feelings off and ignore it (it did not work)

Zenix is like a bratty child, when he has a crush instead of properly flirting or talking to the person he gets more aggressive.

Zenix would pull Zanes hair, punch him, kick him, insult him more, and just generally be as mean as he could.

Zane being extremely both very naïve and very much in puppy love was just happy to get the attention and it made him follow Zenix more.

Zane managed to find out which locker was Zenixs and started leaving gifts in it, (like candy, flowers, pretty rocks, random canned drinks, etc, etc)

Zenix loved the sweet little presents and kept everything Zane gave him.

Zane being mildly obsessive with his crushes collected things Zenix had used or left behind in places.

Zane also had gotten some of Zenixs hair, blood and spit (Spit is from when Zenix bite Zane once and got spit on Zanes bleeding arm.)

when they both get together/get closer they start hanging out more, like having tea parties, rough housing, binge watching horror movies, reading together (Aka Zane reads to Zenix and Zenix cuddles Zane.)

they also play a lot of video games together, usually some fantasy or horror related, or sims. (they make themselves as sims and have them get married, they both get super flustered when they do it.)

Zenix is still fairly aggressive even once they're dating, Zane is constantly covered in swollen love bites.

Zane likes brushing and braiding Zenixs hair but he has to do it super gently or Zenix will bite him.

they have matching heart shaped necklaces because they are cheesy like that.

Zane is usually little spoon and Zenix is usually big spoon but if Zenix is having a bad day or just wants to be held then Zane will be big spoon.

In season three they have some issues

They keep going between fighting and flirting, or doing both at the same time.

Zane still had some feelings for Gene from PDH but was trying to repress them so he wouldn't get hurt

Gene developed feelings in season three and he fell hard!

Gene started trying to be around Zane more by taking the same shifts Zane worked.

Gene would follow Zane around more and try and touch him more often.

To everyone's surprise when Gene touched Zane, Zane didn't do much, because Zane liked it, he wouldn't admit it but he liked it.

They end up being set up on a blind date by aphmau.

They fight for the first twenty minutes before actually doing the date stuff.

They start going out with each other but kinda hide it but everyone else kinda notices because they are flirting way more than usual.

They get caught making out in the storage closet at work.

They usually go on dates to the movie theater or have date nights at home.

They don't stop fighting or teasing each other once they start dating, they just use it for passion now.

Gene gives Zane flowers a lot (Gene's mom owns a flower shop, so I headcanon that he grew up learning to garden).

Zane gives Gene baked goods a lot, (Zane a really good baker and makes baked goods a lot and he wants to make sure Gene gets enough to eat)

Gene was the one to say 'I love you' first.

Zane does Gene's hair.

They have monthly spa days so they can de-stress.

Zane likes scratching up Gene's back, he leaves scratch marks that take weeks to heal and even then Zane will usually open them back up again within a few weeks.

They leave as many hickies on each other as possible in the most visible places possible so they can show off that they own each other.

They both have piercing on their chests and 'private' areas and they love pulling on those piercings.

If I'm doing an AU where Gene kept his mind control magic from mcd then he definitely uses it to take control of the situation.

Omg thank you! I love talking about Zanus. Now I'm not sure what type of headcanons you want so I'll just sprout out whatever comes to mind.

Zane loves to be told that he's beautiful or that he's smart, praise in general makes him go soft (Zane did not get enough praise growing up.)

Janus is more than happy to spend hours complimenting Zane.

Janus loves having their scars and burns caressed and kissed by Zane (only Zane, anyone else who touches them is probably going to get beaten.)

Janus loves doing acts of service for Zane to let him know that they love him.

Janus does most of the housework except the cooking and the dishes, Janus forgets how strong they are and breaks the dishes by accident, and Zane just prefers to cook for himself, but if Zanes sick Janus cooks.

They have a morning routine they force themselves out of bed, they help choose each other's outfits, Janus brushes Zanes hair and helps do Zanes makeup. (Yes Janus can safely braid hair but not do the dishes, Zane is more important than dishes so Janus remembers to be careful.)

Janus is a police officer and often patrols by Zanes work and usual hangout areas just to make sure that Zanes okay.

Zane chooses all of Janus' outfits because Janus will just walk around in shorts and a hoodie if he's left to choose his own clothing.

Now time for some darker stuff

My Janus is obsessed with Zane

Janus legitimately believes that Zane is some sort of deity

Janus has an alter to Zane in their living room, Janus has pictures of Zane on it, candles, and they leave 'offerings' for Zane, little gifts or treats for Zane to take when he sees them.

Zane found it a bit creepy and concerning at first, but now he kinda likes being worshipped, it's nice to have someone dote on you so much.

But due to this worshipping Zane has to be a bit careful with what he says, if he gets to mad at someone he needs to be careful about how he talks about them to Janus because if Janus thinks the person is causing Zane to much trouble then that person might disappear

Again, most people see murder as a red flag, but Zane views it as kinda romantic.

Janus has considered keeping Zane locked in the house, particularly after something bad happens to Zane, but Janus hasn't.....yet.
