As a black woman who grew up with almost no references of black people, watching as only white people took over the screens, believing that my nose, or my lips or my hair were not beautiful, that I wasn´t good enough because of the color of my skin, I personally want to thank Viola Davis for not only being an incredible actress, who speaks her mind and is a great example for women in general, but also for her giving life to someone as Annalise Keating, a flawed, badass women who got things done and did not sit around waiting for anyone. May we all find people who inspire us to be proud of ourselves.
