Pretty sure if my autistic ass saw an Elder God, it'd be the shiny golden light or the angelic chorus or the knowledge beamed straight into my brain that overwhelmed me long before I go mad from witnessing them. Maybe we all have the instinctual urge that we'd get out unscathed because some part of us deep down knows we wouldn't get the opportunity to witness them in the first place cus we noped out after the flashy light show.

Maybe autistic folk have sensory stuff because otherwise we'd be too powerful? I mean, staring in the face of a God is a power move. I'd introduce them to Terraria.

Being autistic is weird because I think I'd be entirely entirely immune to the maddening effects of witnessing an Elder God but learning that barnacles are arthropods rather than molluscs nearly gave me an existential crisis

Me: I shouldn't disturb Neil Gaiman. I shouldn't send an ask unless I really have no way of getting the information otherwise. I listened to audiobooks so I don't exactly remember which book this was in at the time. But I distinctly remember a scene where Eragon dreams of Morzan, and he has piercing blue eyes. And I remember being like 'lmao, continuity error, morzan has HETEROCHROMIA' and just moving on and ignoring it. Was that scene actually him dreaming of Brom? Does BROM HAVE BLUE EYES? I don't remember, but if this is foreshadowing and I was just sitting there like 'lmao I noticed but I'm ignoring it' then yknow, maybe I gotta reread these books properly when I'm not working in a factory xD
