Our version of traditional song Fine Floors in the Valley (a Scottish variant of The Cruel Mither). Arranged Watson/Black, recorded live in Glasgow with some help from Red Deer Records.
A couple of tunes from our Concert Window gig a few months ago. The Sound of Sleat (comp. Donald MacKinnon arr. Watson/Black) and a cheeky wee Breton number (trad arr. Watson/Black).
Tjolöholms Slott, Kungsbacka, Halland, Sweden (July 2014)
In July we flew out to Gothenberg for a concert in a castle. Invited by the lovely Torbjörn Johansson on behalf of Musik i Halland to appear in a new series of concerts at this beautiful venue along with Rant and Goodbye Girls
Tjolöholms Slott is a castle plus a church and workers' village commissioned by James Fredrik and Blanche Dickson was built between 1897-1904. Designed by Lars Isreal Wahlman, the castle is in an English Tudor style (the design was named 'Hobgoblin') and was heavily influenced by the Arts & Crafts movement. It's open to the public now and also has stunning gardens and museum pieces to explore. We had a great day exploring, it's stunning. We're keeping up our rule of only playing in beautiful venues..

Tjolöholms Slott
Apparently the Anna Massie Band couldn't find the beds when they visited, but we couldn't even find the hoose!
Eventually found our wee Swedish hus for the night.
We have a few gigs coming up in Sweden & Scotland - see GIG page for details. Working on the new concert set, it's full of lovely tunes and traditional songs from Scotland, the Borders (Scot/Eng), Sweden, Breton, Cape Breton, Ireland, Quebec. Exciting!!
Opening night and screening (Estonian film 'Mushrooming' - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2239512/) at the Madeira Film Festival in Funchal. We were transported from the opening to the Teatro in a beautiful vintage car with our new friends and film makers/producers Andy and Peter. We had mistakenly woken up in someone else's life..
