What do you think it will be like to meet sae’s parents for the first time

this goes either one of two ways. best case scenario is that you somehow socially finesse your way into the itoshi family and have a modern day japanese wedding planned in three months. worst case scenario is that you embarrass yourself kafka-style and attend life's costume party with your real face. a lovely thing i'd like to point out is that sae himself is also meeting his parents for the first time. after years abroad, i think he would feel quite alienated from his past self and the family that never quite moved on from his absence. i sense an awkward parent-son-brother reunion that devolves either into a screaming match or the coldest shoulder ever given to mankind.

top notes: lemon, eucalyptus, lavender

middle notes: rosemary, geranium, vetiver, nutmeg

base notes: guaiac wood, herbal green, musk

hc: rin smells like lavender. notice how there's a period there and not a question mark...that's because it is a solid factual statement. i'm guessing the lavender came either from his laundry detergent or shampoo. currently leaning towards the latter. rin definitely uses women's shampoo.

SAE ITOSHI

top notes: thyme, eucalyptus, galbanum, bergamot

middle notes: rosemary, lavender, orange flower

base notes: cedarwood, hinoki, patchouli, sandalwood

hc: sae's hands perpetually smell like orange peels, and you cannot change my mind. it's a concentration exercise he does on long flights to keep his mind off the airplane anxiety. tries to peel them in a perfect spiral without breaking off any fragments. rin tried to copy him and failed miserably.

How do you think Sae day to day life is like? Since he’s somewhat well known in the soccer world, do you think he has any issues going out and being in the public eye?

🤔 if i could compare sae itoshi to any real-life celebrity, it would probably be cillian murphy. he's incredibly down-to-earth and, in his own words, even boring at times. i think sae's daily life would be structured around a systematic routine. he still rides the public transport, goes grocery shopping, runs mundane errands and whatnot. obviously, this does make him susceptible to the paparazzi, but i don't think he entertains them at all. the media finds it difficult to write gossip stories about him because, quite frankly, his life does not have anything gossip-worthy. the most you're getting out of him is a picture of him looking mildly grim under a baseball cap on a train ride back from tokyo. however, there is a caveat with all the attention. while he doesn't necessarily care for whatever fans think of him personally, i do think sae would be exceedingly private and protective of his family. of course, not in the overt and tight-lipped way to the point he literally never answers any interview questions. rather he has this subtle and discreet manner in which he responds directly but never intentionally discloses information about his loved ones if it wasn't already public. my man doesn't even need media training. his blunt mouth and naturally evasive tendencies already cover half of it.
