I've been in my apartment building for the last six/seven years and have this year decided that if I'm gonna be paying a third of my monthly income in rent to live here I'm gonna cut one of my window screens to gain access to the front patio that my windows 'open up to'.

The neighbor I have on the end of the patio has been here maybe three years.

What's funny is another neighbor whose been here a year longer than me, let me know that this new neighbor was confused on where I'd come from because we've never crossed paths or met.

He asked her "Who's the spooky chick?" 💀

I'm literally the goth capybara of the building 😂 it's become a thing for the neighbors to bring their kids out to colour etc when I'm on the patio because I keep the actual weirdos away from them 🙃 definitely not what he was expecting.

His daughter is sitting at the table with me colouring while he runs his errands.

doctors will actively discourage their patients from doing independent research about their own health, mock patients who google medical information, withhold treatment from those who do advocate for themselves, shut down any dissent by invoking their credentials, willfully ignore the experiences of patients or reports from patient advocates, act like any medical information that's not paywalled is bunk, and then turn around and claim that the general public being "scientifically illiterate" is what grounds the legitimacy and necessity of medical 'expertise' lmao
