The major reason Dante and Vergil's rivalry works better than almost any other take on the trope is because the games are totally self aware about how dumb and immature the whole trope is and they lean way the hell into it. Like yeah, there's real stakes, turmoil and emotional wounds between them that drive their eternal conflict but at the same time it's pretty obvious that the real reason they fight all the time is because they're both just the biggest goddamn children on the planet.

It really is just playground bickering elevated to apocalyptic proportions by sheer virtue of them both being demigods.

I was in a bit of a writing slump, but I think I've finally decided which story idea I'm going to work on! The other day I just sat down and started reading some of my older stuff for a story that'll likely never get published (because it's been 16 years in the making and has way too many time skips and characters lol). Then I wrote some more scenes for that story, even though no-one will ever likely see it. For some reason that jump started something in my brain and now I'm rewriting one of the 3 story ideas I had from scratch and it's turning out a lot better! (For now anyway...)

So, before I start flitting around stories again, I'm going to state my intentions here in the hopes it'll actually keep me on track this time. 😆

I'm gonna write... A supernatural / dystopian / romance story! Or... Something like that. I promise it's not as lame as it sounds lol... I hope.

Anyway sorry for the rambles. I'm determined to actually write something this year and I'm hoping that noting my crazy thoughts down will force me to actually do it!

Oh darn, I just realised I forgot to post this one, which I thought was particularly cute!

Did I spend a large portion of my day taking silly Nendoroid pictures? Yes. Was it worth it? Also yes.

I spent most of this morning trying to find Joker's box so I had all his accessories to hand. Where did I end up finding it? Behind a framed picture of Akechi on our manga bookshelf, because of course where else would it be? 😆

In the meantime, I tried to see if Nendoroid heads would fit on any of the other small dolls I have. They did, but... Only on the girls. I don't think I've ever seen a doll want to kill me more than tiny Akechi did in that moment.

Anyway, then I ended up taking random photos and felt like sharing some, so enjoy! (I'll post most of them below a cut so as not to spam people).

EDIT - I HAVE JUST DISCOVERED THERE IS A 10 PHOTO LIMIT. I'll try to find a way to post the rest of my weird photos lol.

I've been trying so hard with the whole novel writing thing, but I keep running into the same problem - I have three partiality written, pretty viable stories that I started between 2017 and 2021 and I can't decide which one to focus on.

The problem is they're all very different genres, with vastly different characters and themes.

I keep going through phases of 'choosing' one, putting a lot of thought into it, then thinking I'd much rather be writing one of the other ones. So... I have been. I've been working on 3 stories at once, and it's just not going to work darn it!

I keep weighing up what would be easier to sell / promote vs what I'm enjoying writing vs what themes suit my usual style, then reminding myself that I should write what I want for me and not for other people, but then I remember my family would likely read it at some point and it throws me off again. I don't know why this is so hard, I love writing!

And I don't want to just throw them away either. Yeah OK there's a little bit of sunk cost fallacy since some of them are already pretty long and almost 10 years old at this point, but I still feel like they would make great books, I just need to actually choose one... Yes I could work on three books at once, but ONE of them is going to have to be my first one, if at all! 😆

I'm sorry for the ramble. I just kind of wanted to get my thoughts down.

If anyone has read to the end of this and has read any of my stuff before, what kind of genre do you think would suit me best? Is there anything particularly that you think I should try to focus on?

Chapter 20, at last! The final chapter! (sort of, technically...)

This chapter has been the bane of my life for like 4 (5?!) months lol. I have rewritten parts of it, re-ordered it, and cut bits out of it so many times trying to come up with something I’m relatively happy with, and now here it is! XD I am sorry it took so long, there are various reasons both personal and writer’s block related. For those who have been waiting and / or are still reading, THANK YOU so much for your support and patience, it really means a lot to me!! I guess this is technically the last chapter, so hooray! But there will be an Epilogue at some point I hope, to tie up any loose ends. I’m not sure when, and it probably won’t be very long, but watch this space! This story took me waaaay longer to finish than I’d planned when I started it. My life has changed a lot during that time, but I still had a lot of fun writing it and look forward to writing more in the future! I also might try to write an actual book at last if I can muster up the courage, so watch this space just in case that ever happens, because it would be great to have the support of my loyal readers if I ever do manage to publish something! Anyway I’m rambling now, sorry. I just want to give a heartfelt thanks to all of you again for keeping me going with your kind comments and support. I hope this ending isn’t too disappointing after the long wait. See you in the next chapter / story!!

Was looking through some of my old stuff and ended up re-reading my Persona 5 fic that somehow ended up on Twitter at the time! (How has it been 3 years ahhhh)

Still not sure how that happened but it made / makes me so happy, and after reading it again, I'm still quite proud of this one 😊

Six months after the events of Royal, Akechi stumbles into Leblanc. Feeling sorry for the boy - who looks to be in a bad way - Sojiro invites him to stay for a drink and some food. Much to his chagrin, Akechi finds himself admitting that he has nothing left and nowhere to go.

Over the following weeks, the two form an agreement: part-time work in exchange for food and shelter, and an opportunity to sort his life out. Now if only Akechi could build up the courage to tell a certain other person that he was still alive...
