In the forest, all was quiet. It was the hour just before the sun rose, when everything was lit in blue. Calm.

Or, well, it would have been calm, if not for the person pacing in the middle of a lone clearing.

They raised their head as a yawn came from the trees, and someone else walked out.

“Aang, what took you so long?” Zuko asked, folding his arms. “I told you to be up by now!”

“It’s really early, though... Not even Toph made me get up this early for training!”

“Well, I’m not Toph.”

He only realized that his tone may have came off as harsh when Aang’s shoulders slumped slightly, and a small frown came over the young Avatar’s face.

“...listen, we need to get in as much training as possible. You need to master firebending before you face Ozai, so every moment counts.” He paused for a moment, looking down slightly as his mind got away from him, imagining everything that his father would do to Aang if he got captured. 

“...I don’t want you facing him unprepared--” He added as he reined his thoughts back in, bringing himself back down to earth. “--and it’s my responsibility to make sure you are.”

Aang went quiet, nodding after a moment.

“...let’s start then.”

Do you enjoy Halloween? What do you usually do during the holiday?

“Do I?! It’s only THE BEST HOLIDAY OF THE YEAR!”

“You get to scare people, make cool costumes, hang out with friends, get candy--! It’s amazing-- I don’t get how someone could NOT like Halloween!”

“As for what I do during the holiday-- Dark Star throws the best Halloween parties around the block every year, so usually me and the boys hang out there!”
