"You just give off that critical vibe," he teased. "Why wouldn't I?" Tucker countered with a quirk of his brow. "Is that because I wouldn't like the answer?"

"I'm not sure whether I ought to be flattered about just how critical you appear to think I am." Clementine mused, observing Tucker curiously. "And do you really want to know the verdict when I eventually come to a conclusion?"

"I don't expect you to," Tucker took a half step back to show he really wasn't trying to impose on anything here. "I just thought I'd ask, but you're right it's none of my business. Sorry to have bothered you."

Hazel raised her eyebrows at him, unsure of how to expect the surprising kindness from a boy she didn't know. "No offense, but even if I wasn't okay, why would I tell you anything? A complete stranger."

"And I appreciate it," he smiled back in reply. "I know you do. And it shows. That's what I'd say makes you one of the greats."

"I believe in giving praise where it is warranted." Ezra answered because he had a duty to keep his employees happy too, not just the customers so he wanted them to know he appreciated them. "I appreciate you saying that though. I do what I can though I know it's not always perfect."

"No offense, Ev, but anyone could've told you that we're different," Tucker chuckled in response. "I do get that though. I also know you're not alone in that," he then nodded. He didn't know how it worked but the smiles were never performative from him. Tucker was just a smiley guy it seemed. "Can't resist taking a jab at me, can you?"

"Well we are different then. I enjoy my job also but I definitely have to have a 'smile' for some of the people I come across because there is no way I would smile genuinely at some of the idiots I come across... Present company being the exception." Everleigh couldn't resist teasing her friend.

"Is it safe to assume that drunk or not– you've never had a 3am kebab then?" Tucker asked, a grin playing on his lips again. "There's a great place just up two streets that way. You'll love it."

"Ah, right. Of course. Yeah, that makes sense," Tristan said, nodding and smiling, "Nice to meet you, Tucker," he chuckled, "Yeah, I guess so."

"I always figured I was good at what I do but there's nothing quite like having the confirmation," Tucker admitted with a chuckle, "Working at the Cauldron it the best though. I know some people out there have bosses they are not fans of– I lucked out however."

"No, I don't. I like to keep hold of good workers. They are harder to come by than you'd expect." Ezra answered honestly, not shy about admitting the man was someone he valued. "And you are good at not pushing the boundaries also so that is another reason why I keep you employed."

"There's a good few that make most of their business in the evenings and the early hours. Like people wanting a drunken meal after a night of clubbing and all that," Tucker explained when the man said he didn't realize some places were still open. "Hey Tristan, I'm Tucker. Nothing bonds people like food, huh?"

"Kebabs? Oh, sure. I didn't realise they were still open," Tristan admitted. If he was honest, he'd say he hadn't had much to eat since lunch and was actually starving. Instead, he said, "I could eat. I'm Tristan, by the way"

"You'll have to keep me posted about the verdict then," he chuckled when she said she'd see if he deserved them. "Although I'm sure you're as harsh of a critic as you seem," Tucker added playfully.

In a way Clementine actually would have but she suspected he had many admirers who were not shy about giving him compliments. From her experience, she suspected most of them were warranted too. "Well perhaps I will see if you deserve them when we go out."

"Frowned upon? Those are meant to be enjoyed by partygoers," he insisted. "But I certainly won't turn down the opportunity to team up with you more often. I'm certainly offended you'd consider me to be the Robin here though if I'm the one who came up with the plan in the first place," Tucker added with a playful huff.

"Okay, mow when you put it like that... it's a pretty smart play Robin." Lulu stated tapping lightly on the others temple, a grin on her features that seemed to match his own. "What would they do if we put all our shared talents and genius into more frowned upon activities, hm?"

"I mean sure, to a degree," he shrugged. "That being said, I wouldn't say either is more genuine than the other. Especially since I enjoy my job. I get to be social and friendly all day– my specialities really."

"I'm insinuating that you have a work smile and a play smile. So to speak anyway. Are you telling me you don't have somewhat of a work persona?" Because most people did. It was why they tended to be more polite or sometimes more submissive when it came to their professions in order to make a good impression.

"I've got to say I'm glad that it sounds like you don't plan on replacing me anytime soon then," he played up with a grin when Ezra pointed out that he was good at what he did. Tucker genuinely enjoyed what he did but he also was reassured to know his job was secure for the foreseeable.

"Well then at least you are easily won around I suppose." Ezra responded with a soft laugh at Tucker's words. "Whatever it is, you are good at what you do." The customers liked him as much as he did it seemed.

"Wouldn't you like to know?" Tucker couldn't help but smirk back playfully. He knew this was Clem's way of teasing anyways and he was glad to have unlocked a more easygoing side to her. She had seemed to open up more and more around him and he enjoyed every moment of it.

"Charm hm? Now who told you that you had charm?" She responded back with a smile. Though if she were being truthful with herself, Clementine felt like she would be sad to see the day he stopped teasing her. There was something so light hearted about it now that she understood him a little better and it would have been like saying goodbye to a part of him.

"There's some perfectly good cupcakes up for grabs– it'd be a crime not to take advantage of that, wouldn't you agree?" came his response with a grin. "I mean they're here to be consumed after all. It'd be a waste otherwise."

"What? Not planning on putting the effort in yourself? You'd rather take someone elses spoils?" Lulu responded, sticking her tongue out at the male in childish banter. "Sounds like you are taking the easy way out West."

"Not at all, I think you just have a more... natural expression tonight. I may be wrong though." Everleigh mentioned with a shrug of her shoulders. "It's good to see you having a good time, Tucker."

"Shall we put it to the test then?" his grin only widening, looking out to the dance floor before looking back to him again. "We've been all talk and no action so far," Tucker further pointed out. "You're welcome to choose. I wouldn't want any upper hand anyways because you'd use it as the excuse when I inevitably win."

"Oh that confidence... It's gonna be so much more satisfying when I wipe the floor with you and it's washed right off your face." Jaiyash gave back just as confidently, though they both knew it was banter between the pair of them. "It depends on who this external party is. It better not be someone who is soft on you."

"Maybe next time we should make the trip to the States then. Apparently their breakfast menu is 24/7," Tucker chuckled when she'd made a mention of the classic McDonald's hash browns. "But hey, if you want to make the trip out here in the morning some time– you know I'd be there. I can never deny a good Maccies trip to be honest with you."

"You know I am always down for a trip to the muggle world, Tuck," Lila grinned as she popped another nugget in her mouth. "So many people here don't know the wonders of a maccies, we'd really be doing them a solid by putting one in Hogsmeade." It would be absolutely terrible for her bank balance but that wasn't a thought she had to worry about right now. "I am pissed that you decided to go at night though. I didn't realise how much I'd been craving their hash browns until I smelt the sweet smell of the building."

"I guess that's just part of my charm," Tucker offered with a playful smile and shrug of his shoulders. "I believe that," he said earnestly, the woman definitely didn't give off the vibe of somebody who'd break promises. "Maybe not yet– but definitely some day," he then said when Clem had insisted he stop teasing.

"I know. I'm not sure how that happened. You're surprisingly persistent." Clementine meant the last part because she wasn't sure others would have stuck around if they'd been put in a similar situation. "I do not like broken promises either so that is one thing I can be relied on for unless there is a good reason for it." Still, it warmed her to hear him say it. The man was comforting in his own way. "But big shot wandmaker... stop teasing." She answered with a fond roll of her eyes.
