I am not comfortable with anyone translating my works due to the fact that it requires said work to be reposted, and I prefer to have full control over my own work.

Also btts will have some of the first chapters edited and possibly rewritten a bit in the future, which wouldn't work well with translations.

Other people asked me similar questions, and to each question regarding translation I must say no, my apologies.

Hey, sorry if yoi've been asked this before but I was wondering what is your headcannon for the origin of scavangers, more specifically what organism they descended from?

I don't have one.

To me, they just exist in the now I suppose.

So, the watcher huh.

It seems like the regions that are showcased in the steam store page are from mods that are already out there and available for free, made by modders (badlands, stormy coast, coral caves are semi-confirmed)

I truly hope that it will not be a paid dlc because if they plan to lock modded content already available for free without anything added as a dlc I will be INCREDIBLY disappointed

I hope that the modders were contacted about this...

Edit: ok it seems they were contacted and there is going to be more than just the regions

I was mostly disappointed in the idea of "nothing but some modded regions as paid dlc" but as long as some actually original stuff is added too, I can wait and see

And as long as there is quality control (msc had quality control for example, so I hope that this will also have it)

Probably nth odd ask about your fic but thank you for writing it! It’s been getting me thru work shifts (i am at ch 20) and I love how you’ve been integrating things into it! I love seeing iterator speculative biology while I write my own, though one small ask: are the sporecats based off something? I SWEAR I’ve seen a sporepuff scug somewhere around before.

I'm happy you enjoy my story! As for the question:

I didn't base the rot killer slugcats on anything other than existing in-game things. (Spore puffs exist in the game, they kill insects, rot is kinda insect-like in looks, spore puffs explode, works)

Yes, there is a modded spore puff slugcat, no I am not related to it in any way, and I don't really enjoy the fact that people keep insisting they are the same/inspired when they are so different and I absolutely did not have it in mind while creating the rot slugcats.

Can't I use an item from the game, just because someone else did so too? (;ŏ﹏ŏ) the amount of items in the game is limited, of course some stuff ends up similar if it uses the same base game's items. Surely at some point there will be a slugcat based on every in-game item, and that doesn't mean that whoever wants to use the same item in a design is suddenly copying.

Besides: My slugcats eat spore puffs, not create them. They do not kill centipedes for living. They are genetically modified. At this point they are closer to a mix of spearmaster and artificer than sporecat.

The reason I went with spore puffs was that it made a bit more sense than "there's magical random unknown chemical out of nowhere that does this instead."

It seemed like an easy option.

If I knew that people would keep telling me about the modded sporecat all the time, I would've went with something different tbh (;ŏ﹏ŏ)
