Are we a step closer to finally seeing WBO Welterweight Champion Terence Crawford & WBC, IBF, and WBO Welterweight Champion Errol Spence Jr. finally having their highly anticipated super-fight? It is important to understand until contracts are signed everything is a rumor. Spectrum Cable released a PPV schedule with June as a date for the fight. However, if you take a closer look at the schedule you will notice that, unlike the other events, there is no exact date and the event is in parentheses. With any positive news regarding Crawford vs. Spence. I am going to be hopeful but understand that until it is made official nothing is a done deal.

With his loss to Dmitry Bivol Canelo Alvarez is no longer boxing's pound for pound king. Personally, I feel that current rankings in boxing should be based on the last 2 years. Who you fought & how you did, and to be honest. Even with the loss to Bivol Alvarez has a strong case to keep the crown, but I feel that you can't be coming off a loss. Especially a clear loss. Based on the criteria I use it comes down to Terence Crawford & Errol Spence. I think boxers like Oleksandr Usyk,, Vasyl Lomachenko, Shakur Stevenson & Juan Francisco Estrada. Deserve consideration. That being said it comes down to Spence & Crawford. Crawford Has two stoppage wins over Kell Brook & Shawn Porter. Spence has a decision win over Danny Garcia & a stoppage over Yordenis Ugas. I feel that Spences's wins are slightly better than Crawford's. So I believe the current Pound 4 Pound Crown Belongs to Errol The Truth Spence Jr. Does this mean I think Spence will beat Crawford when they fight? Not Necessarily. The Budding Truth About Terence Crawford Vs Errol Spence Jr My Voltron Theory! I believe that WBC, IBF & WBA Welterweight Champion(The Truth) Errol Spence Jr. & WBO Champion Terence (Bud Crawford) are heads & Shoulders above the rest of the 147-pound division. I also believe that their hopefully (near) future match-up is a 50/50 fight. I think that Spence is a slightly better boxer and for a while, I gave him the edge. However, Crawford's versatility is what has me giving Crawford the edge. If I was forced to make a pick. I believe Crawford is the most versatile boxer of all time. Sure there are others who could fight from both an orthodox & southpaw stance and be both aggressive and box off the back foot. However, I believe that Crawford does it better than anyone else. In a certain sense, Spence has to prepare for 4 different opponents. Spence has veracity himself as a southpaw, but this means that Crawford only has to prepare for 2 different opponents. Leigh Wood Keeps WBA Featherweight Championship With Comeback TO 12 Over Michael Conlan! Thankfully Michael Conlan got immediate medical attention and was taken to the hospital right away, and was tweeting for a rematch hours after being knocked out of the ring in the 12th and final round. It looked like WBA Featherweight Champion Leigh Wood was going to win the first round, but Challenger Michael Conlan dropped him in the last second of the round. Wood was visibly hurt and appeared that he might not make it to the final bell. Conlan won the first 3/4 of the fight with Wood mounting a comeback in the last fourth. Still going into the 12th and final round I felt that Wood needed to at least score another knockdown just to get a draw. In the previous round, Wood dropped Conlan to inch closer in the fight. Wood knocked Conlin who was out on his feet out of the ring the fight was stopped at 1:25 of the 12th round. It looked like Undisputed Super Middleweight Champion Saul Canelo Alvarez had agreed to a two-fight deal with Matchroom Boxing. In which he would move up to Light Heavyweight to fight WBA Champion Dimitry Bivol then go back to Super Middleweight for a third fight with Gennady Golovkin. While that seems to be the path Canelo is taking. He is also considering an offer from Primer Boxing Champions to defend against WBC Middleweight Champion Jermall Charlo and then against top contender David Benavidez. While Canelo is getting paid either way the PBC deal may put more money in his bank account. While both offers will provide Canelo with two intriguing fights. Bivol & Golovkin are probably bigger challenges. There is no timetable for a decision, but if they are going for May and September dates I think it will come sooner than later. Whatever you might think of the official decision John Ryder won a split decision victory over Daniel Jacobs to become the WBA's Number One Super Middleweight Contender. In theory, this means a fight with Boxing's Pound For Pound King Canelo Alvarez or David Morrell Jr. There may be challenges for Ryder when it comes to getting these fights. First Canelo may or may not have two fights lined up. A May Fight with WBA Light Heavyweight Champion Dimitry Bivol & the third fight with Gennady Golovkin. With Ryder & Morell fighting for different promotions, Matchroom & PBC. Making this matchup will face the usual challenges that cross-promoted fights face. Some other posibilities. A rematch with Callum Smith. Smith beat Ryder after winning the World Boxing Super Series. A lot of people thought Ryder won the fight. Smith is now at light heavyweight. Smith would have to come back down to super middleweight or a catchweight agreed to. Matchroom could match Ryder up with Billy Joe Saunders or Chris Eubank Jr. However, there is talk of them having a rematch of their fight from 2014 won by Saunders by split decision. WBO Middleweight Champion Demetrius Andrade has been looking for that big fight for some time. Super Bowl 56. Who Do You Like? Super Bowl 56 or LVI is to be played this Sunday at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood California. Between The LA Rams & The Cincinnati Bengals. Who are you rooting for? Who do you think is going to win? I don't really have a favorite NFL team, but I like for the most part to see teams from the west do well. That leads me to want to see The Rams win. However, The Bengals have been on this amazing run that has been fun to watch. In terms of picking a winner, I am also undecided. On one hand, The Rams were a pre-season favorite to be here. They made off-season & mid-season moves to strengthen their position. The Bengals on the other hand were not expected to make the playoffs. Most people had the finishing last in The AFC North. Ohio's other team The Cleveland Browns was a popular prediction to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. Yet it's Cincinnati who is representing the AFC. SoFi is the home stadium of The Rams. The PBC who promoted his previous fight against Caleb Plant was offering a fight with WBC Middleweight Champion Jermall Charlo. Matchroom had offered Canelo a two-fight package facing WBA Light Heavyweight Champion Dimitry Bivol followed up with a third fight against current IBF Middleweight Champion Gennady Golovkin. As long as Golovkin beats WBA Middleweight Champion Ryota Murata and Canelo handles business with Bivol. Canelo has chosen the Matchroom package. This should come as no surprise. While I believe the fight with Charlo in 2022 would make more money than individual fights with Bivol or GGG. It wouldn't make more than them combined. I favor Lomachenko especially if the fight takes place at 135. However the longer this fight takes to be made the more I think Stevenson's chances improve.
