I'm a complete cinder block when it comes to symbolism and identifying deeper meaning in creative media, especially that involving art, and I don't want to insult you by completely missing the point of something you've made. Second, would it be okay if I occasionally DM'd you with some questions on your thought processes or intentions regarding certain works?

[1] I don’t really mind however way a person wants to interpret my art unless there is malice behind their review, and even that is only when it specifically crosses wires between my personal experiences and deliberate presentation of the character. Aside from purposefully ignorant misinterpretation, I do not otherwise see myself being offended by the things people say towards my works.

i love your art so much it reminds me of medieval manuscripts

Ah, thank you. Had to ask my two associates if my art is really reminiscent of medieval manuscripts and they agreed with this statement. I am a bit surprised, but I’m glad since I did take inspiration from the intricate, medieval aesthetic for the borders I sometimes do for the style. There actually is an individual I follow who has a style much better replicated like this since they’re a souls artist.

Have you ever checked out Splatoon? I feel like you might like some of the darker lore stuff and a lot of it would fit your art style really well.

My brother likes Splatoon but I never got into it because I couldn’t play it [lack of monies and device]. It told me of the lore as well, but I can’t recall what it was about anymore. <- I’m bad at drawing ink people and squid-adjacent things, so I’ll have to research it sometimes. Pondering if I should give myself an emoji, but hi again! I'd like to give you a few recommendations.

Music: Loveit? by biz, also has a full MV. I think it's dark and cryptic in a way you'd like, talks about love, power and control; part of a series. There's some gore and cannibalism, if that squicks you out, but it's not super explicit.

Games: Recently I watched Life Eater. The synopsis is simple: a man is forced to kill people and conduct a ritual every year or "God" will end the world. The man ends up making an "unlikely friend"... Grim and leaves you with a feeling of desolation.

Another one is CARCASS. I can't quite explain it, but.. it's about "Flesh" and "Insects" in what looks to be a post apocalyptic world. Also very cryptic.

Oh, hello, welcome back…I took a listen to Loveit? and I liked it a lot. Very catchy song, so that went into my playlist, and I’m sure I’ll be putting it on repeat it for the weeks to come. <- Thank you for feeding the brain worms.

I have actually played CARCASS before since it’s my passion to mindlessly scroll itchio in search of the obscure low-poly horror games, and I enjoyed it! Always such a fan of dark, fleshy games taking place in a dead world. Coolest trope and setting in existence. If you like similar games, Modus Interactive and Yames have a bunch of stuff like CARCASS. I looked up Life Eater and it has a very interesting story; I think there is unexplored merit in playing as the main antagonistic force in the narrative, but also, “kidnapping simulator” as one of the core of the game is quite eerie. I’ll watch some gameplay of it around dinner time if I can.

Ahh Have you ever watched/read houseki no kuni (or land of the lustrous) I have to recommend it. Also I think it would look cool in your style

I actually intended on reading HNK when it’s anime first came out, but I was too put off by its visuals to watch it…although, a friend I know really liked it, and I was intrigued by its premise and main character’s design. I will see if I have the motivation to catch up on the manga when the holidays roll around. Thank you for the ask…^^
