I-I can't believe I'm about to say this, but.....I...I'm not sure if I'm gonna get a big Eurovision ranking post done this year. I'm taking a small break from writing, and I was planning on using that break to make the post, but...while on this break, it made me realize just how exhausted I am from writing daily for six months, and how technically, a big huge detailed ranking post would use a lot of the same energy, and.....I.....I dunno if it'd be fun this year. Usually it IS fun to make those posts, but not this time.

I'll still make a smaller version talking about just my top seven and borderlines (maybe tomorrow), cuz I still wanna give love to those, as well as a more simplified ranking post where it's just the list and the qualifier predictions, but.....I dunno if I can give any more than that.

I-I still love Eurovision, but I'm tired....already, I've given SO MUCH to this fic that...I feel like, whenever I AM in the mood for writing, my mind would rather spend time on that and feel guilty if I spend time on Eurovision instead. It's.....dumb.....

So, CRK had this multiplayer mode that I really loved. I-it was kinda reminiscent of Gaia Online Towns.....This online hub area where players could run around and talk to each other. It was very silly, the things players would do....XD

Sadly, this mode was temporary. It shut down a couple hours ago. I was there during its last moments....partaking in Space Donut shenanigans....

The reason I'm posting this here is that, of course, one of the last things I did was quote "Rim Tim Tagi Dim"

I could hold off on saying all this for a few weeks, but I just....f-feel the need to gush about why "Before The Party's Over" (the Belgian entry) is my second-fav song this year

-Best buildup of the year -Last minute is transcendent -Great song for belting -Great lyrics -Newest reason I have to love it: I just flipping love the message of the song?? How it's about living your life to the fullest, because you only get one. And it fits the burst in the last minute, AND the title being constantly repeated. You got a soul on fire, so LET IT ALL OUT before the party's over...

E-even though I normally consider myself pro-ballad, and can tell the difference between the good ones and the boring ones....I'm still not someone who has them in her top five (normally my chosen ballad doesn't get higher than sixth). But top two??? I'm STRUGGLING to think of the last time I had a ballad in my top two.....nnnnn, "Mall", I guess, if you count that? And before that....geez, "Never Forget"? That was twelve flipping years ago....

Point is, this is my fav Eurovision ballad in FOREVER. I flipping adore it. It'd be number one if I wasn't so obsessed with "Rim Tim Tagi Dim". This is definitely a song that I can see helping my anxiety in the future. Just....shout it with my whole chest: BEFORE THE PARTY IS OVEEEERRRRRR~!

One thing I've noticed about this year is that there are a surprising number of songs that have good lyrics. Usually, there'll be three or four songs with lyrics I pay attention to, but for the most part it's more of a nice bonus. I'm used to having a lot of throwaway, filler lyrics in the English songs, and that's fine, cuz it's not the focus.

This year, however? Quite a few songs where I think "that was a good lyric" constantly. Off the top of my head: Belgium, Australia, Switzerland, Germany, Latvia, UK has a few good ones even if it's just a love song, Croatia's are very memorable, and of the non-English songs, there's Serbia and the Netherlands' ending.
