#Repost from @soulfulayuh ・・・ Proudly wearing who’s you are in today’s age is sometimes difficult, especially when the world can be pulling you the opposite direction. Thankful for the opportunity to be apart of the Kingdom, exploring my relationship to God in the form of a pin. This week was hell, but God got me through it. Blessings to you all and have a great weekend! Featuring: @godisdope_ & @exploratoripins #childofGld #TGIF #godisdope #HeisMineIAmHis

Today’s Palm Sunday at @wheeleravenuebc was a beautiful reminder of the glorious love of God. He sent his son Jesus Christ to Hosanna-“Save Now”! In the trying times we live in with our President being nothing like our King, I am so grateful to be a Child of God! L A N G S T O N H U G H E S A dapper gentleman with so many stories to tell. Both a writer and thinker of the Harlem Renaissance. •Langston was born February 1, 1902 in Joplin Missouri and the dash on his grave stone was filled with writing poems, columns, plays, novels, and socially engaging in the community. •He attended Lincoln University, a renowned HBCU, and went on to attend Columbia University for a year before deciding to travel the country. •Receiving many awards from many different organizations including: the Guggenheim Fellowship, NAACP’s Spingarn Medal, the Anisfield Book Award, and many more! •He was a jewel to the community and my favorite poem from his is Dreams: Hold fast to dreams For if dreams die Life is a broken-winged bird That cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams For when dreams go Life is a barren field Frozen with snow. May we continue to remember those before us as we progress into future melanated excellence. #ExploringMelanin #BlackHistoryMonth #LangstonHughes #Harlem #HarleemRenaissance #Poet #Writer #Columnist #HarlemJewel #Exploratori

Without God I am nothing. • Over the course of the past months, many people have called me by a roster number, my student ID, profanities, nicknames, and even by the wrong name. But today I am introducing myself as who I truly am. • Each pin will come with a handwritten salvation prayer to help you to continue to explore your faith. #ChildofGod #iamHis #kingdomworkern #womanofGod #manofGod #HisDaughter #HisSon #HeisLove #GodNotTrump #loveconquershate #livedeeplyrooted

•Rosa Parks-not a quiet soul, but a woman wanting to be free so others could also be free. 1• Civil Rights activist, born February 4, 1913 refused to surrender her seat to a white passenger on a segregated Montgomery Alabama bus, which began the 381 day long Montgomery Bus Boycott. 2• Rosa was a devout Christian and found comfort and peace reading the Bible. Rosa felt as if she could stand up for rights just as the children of Israel stood up to the Pharaoh. 3• The General Motors Bus is on display at the Henry Ford Museum after being found in a field deteriorating and rusted. In 2002, Save America’s Treasures awarded the museum $205,000 to restore the bus. 4• President Obama sat on the same bus where Parks began the Montgomery Bus Boycott. President Obama also played a part in unveiling the statue of Rosa Parks in the National Statuary Hall of the U.S. Capitol on February 23, 2013. Stay tuned for more information on the prominent figures of our history showcased on our new blog: Exploring Melanin. #ExploringMelanin #BlackHistoryMonth #RosaParks #Exploratori
