god i love writing essays. i mean the ones where i can choose what im writing about and i have no time limit to write it, just a deadline which is approaching slowly.

i like how the idea forms in my mind, how thoughts pop into my head when im reading a book, and as im reading on, those thoughts get a clearer shape

and i loove opening a fresh new document on my laptop, writing down the thesis, which is by no means properly thought out. and as im trying to come up with good arguments i think of more ideas, and i have to let go of like 90% of these. either because its a complete nonsense, or because its an idea that would deserve an essay on its own, and there is no way i can fit it into 500 words.

and then i finally start writing, although i have some bits of writing already, scattered around in my notes or on random pieces of paper or in the margins, where i took note of them as they came to me. so i open 20 tabs and get writing

and three days later i have 500 words and a finally clear idea of what i am trying to say.

i love staring at the scatter of words, thinking of 3 synonyms for each one, i love how i get to choose how i word the sentence, how i navigate the readers mind so that he sees what i see, and how the thoughts flow at a really high speed

i love looking at my finished essay knowing its the hundreth version of it, and that every word is where i decided it would be, and its not a random constellation, but a detailed, thought out scheme.

First thoughts after coming back to tumblr:

-why is my dark academia blog bright yellow

-the fact that it says in my bio im 17… i miss being 17

- the amount of notifications stresses me out

then why is everything still made for people without it. why are schools for those who can focus when they want to. why are jobs for people who can manage stress and time and other people. if everyone is a little adhd, why isnt the world made for adhd people.

there is delaware (state) and delaware (river) 

both are equally strange

the state is a tiny little cryptid thing

the rive is a monster that spans new york, pennsylvania, new jersey and delaware. also washington crossed it once and that was like kinda a big deal i guess. like crossing the rubicon in rome.

the state tries to me more important with its “im the first state!!!” bs (seriously its even on the fucking license plates) but we all know. its the river.
