Best Places to Visit in the United States You May Not Have Thought Of
The Covid-19 pandemic has had all of us home, some of us a lot more than we are used to. I was also pregnant last year so traveling was for sure not happening. Now that the little is here and things are starting to look up as far as the pandemic is concerned I am looking forward to exploring the world again. Unfortunately, a lot of the world is still off-limits. Fortunately, we live in the lovely…

Seabaron Restaurant in Reykjavik Iceland
Seabaron Restaurant in Reykjavik Iceland was one of our favorite places we ate at on our visit!
If you’re visiting Iceland on a budget like we were when we went then dining out is likely pretty low on the list of activities. That being said it’s important to experience at least a couple of restaurants while on a trip and experience the food of a new country. We decided to explore Reykjavik for a good place our first night there. Finding something remotely affordable was no easy task. After…

How To Visit The Amazing Sagrada Família In Barcelona
Here is How To Visit The Amazing Sagrada Família In Barcelona when we can all get traveling again!
I first learned about The Sagrada Familia in college. I had to choose a few electives, one of which had to be a humanities course. All of the classes I wanted to take were either full or at a time that didn’t work and I didn’t have the ability to hope this would change the next semester. This left me with the one class that fit requirements and my schedule. It was simply titled “Humanities”. I…

Botín- The Oldest Restaurant in the World
While in Madrid we ate at Botín, the Oldest Restaurant in the World! It was so tasty!
We landed in Madrid on the first day of our Spain trip. Since it was just a travel day we hadn’t set a very specific plan for the rest of the day. We knew we would hit the Prado, but before then we needed to eat. I didn’t look into restaurants beforehand, we figured we would just find something around our Airbnb. My mom and FIL were set on finding the famous suckling pig that is so popular in…

An Awesome One Week Spain Itinerary
All this being inside is making me reminise about all of our great trips, This post is all about our trip to Spain last fall!!
After a fabulous trip to Ireland with my boyfriend’s parents, we sat around enjoying an Irish meal to reminisce and then my boyfriend’s dad asks. “So, where to next?” I knew another trip would be on the horizon but was surprised his parents were so quickly ready to galavant around some other country again so soon. I guess our crazy, action-packed way of traveldidn’t scare them off. David, my…

The Annual Icelandic Sheep Sorting
Icelandic Sheep Sorting was a really neat and unexpected experience we got to have while visiting Iceland. Check it out!
One of the first things we learned in Iceland was that there were sheep everywhere. We would also later learn that many of these sheep are not “wild” they actually belong to farmers but are given time to hang out in the Highlands during the warmer months than in the fall they are retrieved sorted back to there farms. Let me tell you the store of how we participated in Icelandic Sheep Sorting…

Hiking Glymur Waterfall in Iceland
This rainy day reminded me of the rainy day we spent hiking Glymur Waterfall in Iceland. It was so wet, but so worth it.
Glymur is the second-highest waterfall in Iceland, it only recently dropped to second place, however. It was only in 2007 that a larger fall was discovered. The waterfall is located about an hour from Reykjavik in Hvalfjordur.  It is a hike that should absolutely be on your must-see list.

Converting compact florescent (CF) lights to LED conversion with ballast bypass
Do you have Compact florescent recessed lights in your home and hate them as much as I do? My mom recently purchased a new home that was rampant with this stupid CF lights. I am not sure why anyone would put these in a house, they are expensive to buy, a pain to replace, they flicker when dimmed, they run hot and they cost more to run. I see zero upside to them. So My mom and I set out to get…
