De Cornet is a production by Studio Minailo, in which I created an electronic composition, nesting compostions by Britten, Schoenburg, and Berg inside an electronic synthesized environment controlled by my gesture interface.
This excerpt is the transition and intro to Britten's Canticles.

Following an illustrious return to the boundary waters canoe area 20 years later, a new song emerged. Under the concept album ‘A Place called Home’ this composition will find a place next to several other new works which bore into the concepts of identity, culture and home.
“Smokin Jack Pine”
five needles, tightly bound
or two
as clean and free
as the water
as the wind
gnarly branches, clinging broad
to a rock
as strong and bold
as the horsefly
as the loon
the gentle waves in the sky
the changing clousd on the lake
the eagle keeping watch
in the dead pine.
Must all this remain in the moment that is.
Let all this remain in the now that was.
two trees, turning round
or five
having flower and seed.

Gudbrandsdalen min is a symphonic aria written for the Byens Symfoni. It is based on the sonic material for the future production of Peer Gynt which Myrmel is currently developing. His unique poly-tonal language, which freely moves on the spectrum of tonal / a-tonal harmonic structure, comes forth from the dramatic gestural vocal melodies which form the basis for Myrmel's style.
Gudbrandsdalen min illustrates the mountain range in western Norway where Peer spent his youth, and found himself engaged to a Troll Princess, before leaving Norway in Exile to follow adventures in the more exotic places in the world.
The piece traces the explosive temperament of Peer, and his tendency towards exaggeration, while also revealing his [somewhat] sincere romantic crooner side. The contrast of the playful innocence and the intense conflict lend a rich color to the sonic world of this symphonic aria, promising an exciting opera to follow.
