Sophie is here now. So it will happen any day now. I dont know what to do now. I guess Susan died. What else could have happened? I dont know what to think about Joseph now... This will probably be the last entry.

2 new girls were thrown in today. They are still not awake. One of them is blonde. The other one had brown hair. I'll wait for them to wake up. I will ask the others to save some water for them.

Day 39
I was right. The guards talked about getting new girls. They are sending Quincy to get them. I think it is Quincy. They said the Andrews boy. It should be him. His brother is only 12. And I dont think they would call his father boy. I think he is 25. They are getting them from an orphanage. They did it with Susan before. It was easy so they kept doing it. None of the girls lived very long. Some died here. Some died because of the ceremony. Two of them tried to escape. I dont know how Quincy will get them. Hes young. They should be youngwe than him. 16 17 or 18. It has been very quiet. I think they want to keep up alive now. That's nice.

Things have been going good... too good... I think too many people died. I think they are getting more girls now. Susan wasnt the only one. They get girls in different ways. Some are adopted. I know a few girls who used to be slaves or in human trafficking... I know they need 8 for the ceremony. We are 7. River was going to join this year. So 9. 2 more girls... Maybe another one like susan will come. She was the only one I knew who went to school. I never talked to her. River said she was smart. She knows a lot of words. I want to talk to her about them. I want to tell her abour mine. I wonder what she would say. I was locked in with her 4 times. She told me many stories. Maybe I'll tell them the one about the 12 dancers today....

I got them to eat. The old woman died. her name was Meredith. An older woman cried. I think it was her mother. The guard took Meredith away. I shouldn’t be happy. But this was the first time someone talked in in a long time. Im starting to get hope again.... But what if it is dequium..... I have a new word. Soracle. Making yourself think everything is going to be okay even if it isn’t. I think I can tell them a story again. Maybe the one with the man with the weird name...

We got food today. No one touched it. Only the children drank water the past few days. I think the old woman died. I cant tell. No one spoke or moved in a bit. I tried telling them stories. I cant tell if it works. They never move. The children look at me sometimes. Im going to try to get them to eat and drink today. I made a new word. Its called Anarealm. It means to try your best during bad times. Thats what Im trying to be. Anarealm. I dont think I can keep it up for long.
