Ive had my zine for a while now and it's honestly one of the greatest things to come into my life. The prints? They're set up along an altar (I'm a pop-culture pagan, lmao) and decorated with fairy lights and candles. It's honestly all so gorgeous and a nice, mega-thank you for even thinking of putting this together, and all the contributors did amazing work too.

From high school art teachers to Big Cat Rescue board members, to Jasper fans of all ages, the project has brought so much joy to folks that I wasn’t expecting, and I’m just happy that we FINALLY have a finished zine after Tiger Bomb, er… bombed. I (and the other contributors, I’m sure) am glad you enjoy it as much as you do, and I hope other folks will be inspired to try their hands at organizing their own zines, too!

Donations off to help some tigers!  For the BCR donation, their website states the creation and installation of the engraved plaque typically takes about four weeks, so I’ll update once they’ve sent the photos. Good job, team Jasper!

Ahaha I can't believe I missed the pre-order by ONE DAY! Serves me right for not checking on this for so long. So my question is, with tumblr being... sinking, and assuming that you do end up with leftovers available as was mentioned, are the links to find you elsewhere (Twitter, etc) the best places to look in case of an announcement of such? If it doesn't end up happening I won't get upset or anything! Just figured I'd keep a look out for another chance.

Yeah so I still have 100+ of these books sitting around, but I also need to get Christmas stuff done, so I’m sure I’ll be trying to get the rest out of here in the new year. XD

Fearful Asymmetry: the final donation tally!

I am very, VERY happy to announce the final dollar amounts from print and digital sales, soon to make their way to some very deserving tigers and other big cats! So without further ado, here are the donation grand totals!

Print sale donations (Big Cat Rescue): US$1132.00

Digital sale donations (CARE Rescue Texas) US$1287.00 

The donations will be made this week, and I’ll post an update to verify the drop once that happens. I believe Big Cat Rescue will send pics of a perma-installed ceramic plaque crediting the donor ($1000 for the Big Cat Hero plaque with the tagline “Fearful Asymmetry zine project - Jaspers never give up!” or something to that effect; then the remaining amount as a general donation), and I’m sure I can get a social media shout out or maybe some kind of certificate from CARE Rescue Texas. In any case, proof will be forthcoming! In BCR’s case, I believe the turnaround time for the plaque is one month, so I’ll post pics once those come and proof of the donation transaction in the meantime.

I don’t have very much to share, but here’s the final result of that Tigerzine comic I made forever ago!! It finally materialized as Fearful Asymmetry, and proceeds go to support big cat rescue.
