I can feel this show in my “Bones”
Ever felt yourself bored at home, trying to ignore the responsibilities of life, like going to the grocery store or procrastinating that pile of laundry that is at the end of your bed? Well, I have the perfect pass time for you. There is nothing more exciting than having a good show to watch, that has tons of seasons and episodes, and you can find that right here with Bones.
Bones centers around the thrilling solving of crimes and dancing around the feelings between forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan and FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth. Brennan is the team leader at the Jeffersonian Institute Medico-Legal Lab, a federal institution that works with the FBI in Washington, DC. This show is the perfect balance between the historical relationship between the FBI and scientists of the Smithsonian Institution.
The two main stars of the show are none other than Emily Deschanel and David Boreanez, formerly known as “Angel” from hit TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. Come on! There must be some Sunnydale High fans out there, even if those shows did end nearly two decades ago. Anyways, the characters’ ability to keep the viewer intrigued while watching them solve the murder on each episode and at the same time maintaining the relationships that follow throughout the series, is unlike any other!
This TV show is family friendly, though sometimes can be a bit gory with seeing the dead bodies and the examining of the bones throughout the show, while also giving a bit of comedy, love, and drama throughout the twelve seasons. Yes, you heard me right, TWELVE seasons. All with around twenty episodes all about 45 minutes in length. I suggest cancelling all plans before pulling this up, because you will not want to stop once you start!

Two Windows to the Soul?
a) Alec Benjamin b) These Two Windows c) Alternative Pop d) After the first listen, my impression was that this artist really gives his songs not just a meaning, but a story and a life. II. Musician Background: a) Alec Benjamin is a fairly new musician, only starting to release his music in 2018. He is a 27-year-old American singer-songwriter from Phoenix, Arizona who has a hand in writing all of his music. b) Narrated for You (2018) These Two Windows (2020) (Un)Commentary (2022) c) This album compares to his other albums because one thing that Alec Benjamin tries to do throughout all his songs in his albums, is tell a story. Throughout the years, people have forgotten that music is here to get messages across and to bring life to words and instruments, but not Alec Benjamin. III. CD/Album: a) The overall theme of this album is that we all have demons, and its okay to let them overwhelm you, but it is important to remember that after you let that happen, you must fight them. b) “I’ve got all these demons hiding underneath, nobody can see them nobody but me” This just proves to me more about what this album is about and what he is portraying. Another example is “I’m not a cynic and todays just not my day. I’ve tried to spin this bout a thousand different ways but from every angle oh the outlook is the same I swear that I’m not a cynic my glass just has no water in it today.” He is now trying to show that he is not really negative, he is seeming to be pragmatic. IV. Impressions and Opinions: a) Mind is a Prison – This is the opening song to the album, and there is a reason that it is. HE talks about how his mind is literally prison that he cannot seem to escape no matter how hard he tries, and his thoughts are the guards keeping him there. b) It is hard to say which song “sags” because they are all amazing, but if I had to choose, I would say it is Alamo. It seems that this song goes off track a bit to what the bigger theme is and should have been more of a single than a part of an album. c) This album compares to others in its genre because it has the basic alternative sound to it. IT is not the songs that people are listening to today were every artist as a “lil” in front of their name and they repeat the same 2 lyrics and call it a song. V. Overall rating and Final Comments: a) I give this album a 4.5 out of 5. It is original and catchy, but with that one song Alamo, it makes it loose its theme. Without this song in the album, it would be 5 out of 5.

“Onward” and Upward to Great Movies
Spending this past weekend going back to my childhood by watching DreamWorks films was one that was not wasted. As we grow up, we tend to lose touch without inner child due to the hustle and bustle of adult life, but we are never too old to sit down and watch a good, animated movie, whether you have children or not.
This is a time equivalent to modern day movie set in the city of New Mushroomton staring two brothers who set out on a journey to find a gem that will help complete a spell that will bring their father back from the dead for a day and find themselves getting into sticky situations along the way.
This movie is nothing short of great actors such as Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Octavia Spencer, and more! All of which did an amazing job with their characters and gave us nothing but great voices to accompany us on this wild adventure.
The humor and sarcasm worked so well with this movie and tied in the plot of the story together beautifully. Specifically, when we meet The Manticore and we find out that she is the owner of the restaurant that was once her cave and she comes out of the kitchen in a way that we do not expect a savage beast to, but you will have to watch the movie in order to see exactly what I mean. The sad thing about this movie, is that it came out on February 21st, 2020, mere weeks before the Covid 19 Pandemic that overtook the news and social media, so they did not get a fair start to get this movie out there.
This movie reminded me to cherish the ones that I love and to not take them for granted. Our days are numbered on this earth, and we should appreciate every moment we have with our loved ones while they are still here. You wont regret taking the time to spend watching this movie!

“Fringe” theories, or reality?
Everyone knows what it feels like to lay down in your bed, scroll through a streaming service looking for a good show to binge after a long week. It is rare that you find a show that seems interesting to you, that has more than 3 seasons, and all the episodes are more than 30 minutes long, but this happened for me about a month ago when I found myself scrolling on Amazon Prime and coming across the sc/fi Fringe.
This show follows Olivia Dunham; an FBI agent, Peter Bishop; a con artist, and his father Walter Bishop; former science and current psych case, through day to day mysterious and literal out of this world adventures on the fictional Fringe Division run under Homeland Security in Boston Massachusetts, until later seasons when things get a bit stickier for the characters, but I don’t want to give away too much!
The creators of this show picked the perfect actors for the roles, such as Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, and John Noble, who give not only a realistic life to topics that are impossible to be true (as far as we know) but pull every emotion you can think of out of the viewer.
The emotion each character displays throughout the show and the unwavering sense of family that is portrayed is unfathomable. Specifically, when the slow burn relationship between Olivia and Peter finally ignites.
This TV show is great reminder that no matter what crazy things are happening out in the world, like say a Pandemic, it is important to remember that you have family and friends that are always going to be there for you.
