My theme for the year was adult fiction by female authors. Started off that way, but then I moved and started a new job and joined a book club (actually two) and got off track . . .

Greywaren was the most anticipated read.

Under the Whispering Door was the one I almost didn't finish, but I'm glad that I did.

Addie LaRue was (probably) the best written. V. E. Schwab did a phenomenal job, but it was so slow at times.

I Kissed Shara Wheeler may have been the most underwhelming while The Love Hypothesis was the most overrated.

And while I'm glad I dipped my toe in CoHo pool, I think I'm done with her. She's joined the ranks of SJM for me.

After finishing Greywaren I was wondering to myself ‘what on earth inclined Niall to send his spooky ass kids to a prestigious private school’ but I can just imagine a 13 yo Declan walking up to Niall with an Aglionby pamphlet like ‘father I will be attending this academic institution’ and Niall being like ‘okay fine but you need to bring the human embodiment of an ancient magical forest with you’

I just got to the part in Greywaren where Declan was shot. (Everything leading up to that was fucking badass. Go, Decklo!)

Part of me wants to do nothing else but sit and read because I feel like the story can only go up from here. The Brothers Lynch have suffered enough.

But another part of me is hesitant in my wishful thinking.

hello my friends, I honestly couldn’t tell you. I kept track of every single book in my collection last year but I’m over it. I haven’t updated it all year and I don’t plan to. But if I had to guess I’d say over a thousand.
