hey guys!!!

so this entire past month has been extremely, extremely stressful for me because i had so many exams and i only realised how hideously unprepared i was for them on the day before the exam, which was really really awful. so in the middle of september i created a studyblr to keep myself motivated + get some helpful tips from the studyblr community on how to go abt studying for tests. the results proved to be super helpful and ive resolved to keep running this blog for as long as i can, because it really helps me stay motivated and i’ve already learned so many things from the community, despite the fact that i’ve only been here for around a month.

Okay kiddos lonG TIME NO TALK. Today’s program include a basic guide to stress relief. Because I apparently can “manage stress well.” *laughs ironically*

Time Effin’ Management & other Priorities you need to Straighten Out.

             Love, is this *really* the time you need to clean your room? Especially when you got that essay you have to do that is due the very next day?  No it isn’t. To prevent these accidents from happening, draft a list! It can be in order of due date/things you need to work on first. Make sure to write down how long it will probably take to do them! to-do list (my faves!): x  x  x  x  

Break that ‘ish Down Like A Karate Chop

        Maybe that big final is A! Week! Away! (well, crap) Okay divide the days. You have a week right? And that’s say you want to spend two hours each day on it. You have 14 units. Okay so that’s an hour a unit.  Zip through dem units, focus on things you don’t get. I have a tag for all the cram-exam tips you’ll ever need in your entire life yo. [ x ] Babe you got this !!!

I Don’t Get The Content!

        Darling, you need to chill.  Ask your teacher (f*ck ur pride. Now is not the time for them) Ask your friends (online friends!). Ask your parents. Google? Ask upperclassmen. Take notes. Textbooks! Sometimes you just need to step away a little. Busy yourself with something else! Look at it from a diff. perspective! Do anything to get the hang of it. Practice Problems?

    Is There A Way to Fix That?

         Okay you forget to turn in an assignment or got a really bad score on that test. Take a deep breath. It’s not the end of the world. This is where Late Policies comes in. It’s better to turn in an assignment late than none at all! Try to make up lost assignment with extra credit. Always double-check that you have your stuff with you!

What Did I Do Wrong?

       If it’s something you can’t change, find out what you did wrong. Put that in a list and when you are doing an assignment similar to it, make sure you don’t make the same mistakes again. Don’t get too upset over it! Instead put that (energy from crying) into studying harder for that next test. Life goes on, failure is temporary, success is permanent.

So I have my English Lit Exam this coming tuesday and I’m super stressed cause getting into my Honours Degree depends on this exam. I have to get a certain mark and I’m hoping I do well cause I’ve worked my ass off this semester (all thanx to creating a studyblr tbh). So wish me luck!

05/11/17- Bonfire night 🔥🎇 Hi lovelies! So to tell you the truth, I haven’t been the best at keeping a bullet journal. My previous one was transformed into a travel journal as well as a bujo and I wasn’t as productive with the travel journal spreads as I was with the bujo spreads. This meant that I fell behind on my bujo spreads as I was still behind on my travel journal spreads.

This lead to the decision of just buying another notebook and separating my travel journal spreads from bujo by using two different notebooks. My new bujo notebook is a muji A5 recycled card dot grid notebook.

What is VER magazine?

VER Magazine is our response to the countless times young people’s opinions were not taken seriously or were dismissed quickly because of their age. Our vision for this magazine is to give the youth the platform they deserve, where they can share their thoughts on political happenings without being discouraged, censored or made to feel inferior. It should serve as an opportunity for young people to become more involved with politics and assist them in their political growth and development. After all, aren’t we the future?

What positions are currently open?

We are searching for editors, writers, graphic designers, and a publicity team.

Writers

Writers will have to write at least one to two articles each issue. That article will have to focus around our central theme, but apart from that, writers can write about whatever issue resonates most with them. Writers are free to express their opinions and address the topics that are closest to their hearts. Please include examples of your work if you apply for this position.

Editors

Editors are expected to work with a writer and edit their work. Past experience is very beneficial but not necessary. Editors help shape the language of the magazine and aid the writer in creating the best piece they can.

Graphic Designers

Graphic Designers will be designing the magazine. They should be comfortable with at least one graphic design program, whether that is Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, etc. There will be some set guidelines, but if designers have some great ideas regarding the aesthetic of the magazine, they are free to discuss them with me/the rest of the team. Please include examples of your work if you apply for this position.

Publicity

The Publicity Team will advertise the magazine and shape its image. They are responsible for its social media platforms as well as the main website.
