It's official!!

We did it!! The card has reached the producer and by MONDAY- the FIRST DAY OF FILMING, THIS: 

wonderful beautiful card that hundreds of you participated in will be in the hands of the cast and the crew!!!

We'll keep you all updated and have our eyes peeled for a tweet or if we  get an email from the producer on the response!! Great job everyone!! Thanks again for all of the donations and all of your love and support!!!

Hello! Remember this??

I know it seems like forever ago, but The Sherlock Cast and Crew Card of Love is FINALLY DONE and has OFFICIALLY BEEN SENT!

(Thank you, Reapersun. This gif has never been more accurate.)

We had to wait for Sherlock to start production again in order to send it and we had some major problems along the way.

GroupCard told us our card was too big to print and send, so we ended up having to screencap each page of the card and then individually type up 645 messages in a document to make into a booklet with FedEx Office. It took FOREVER, but it's finally done and we're incredibly proud of the final product. But because of the GroupCard issue, the final booklet ended up costing $75.51 and the shipping ended up costing $23.95 (for a total of $99.46 USD). This means we have $59.77 left to donate to The Teenage Cancer Trust, which is still pretty amazing! So thank you to everyone who helped sign the card and to everyone who helped us raise the money to send it off, we couldn't have done it without you. Thank you so much!

It was 95 pages which reduced to 50 pages double-sided and it weighed about 14 ounces. I feel like I'm talking about it as if it's a child, but it kind of is. It basically took 2 trimesters to put together! I mean, jeezus!

It'll get there (hopefully) in 6-10 business days or (again, hopefully) 14 March 2013.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

WE HAVE OFFICIALLY RAISED ENOUGH MONEY TO SEND THE CARD!!!

Thank you so much!!!  You guys helped donate a total of $159.23 which is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!  Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!  

The card costs $50, so the remaining $109.23 will be donated to The Teenage Cancer Trust.  We really can't thank you enough!!!  THIS IS AMAZING!!!

Because we've raised enough money to send the card, we've removed the donation button from our tumblr, but THE CARD IS STILL OPEN.  You still have time to write your messages!  It closes on the 31st of October (~14 days).

Again, we'd like to thank everybody who donated and helped spread the word and everybody who signed/signs the card.  We are extremely excited to get it ready and sent off, so thank you very much!  <3

Hello!  Oliveswind here!  A couple of things to mention regarding the card:

Thank you to all the people who have donated so far!  We really appreciate it!  

The card closes on Halloween (October 31st) so be sure to get your messages written on the card before then!  You have ~19 days!

As of right now, we have raised $12.56 of $50.  And we really hate asking you guys to donate money, but if you signed the card, PLEASE donate 10-15 CENTS so we can send this off.  A lot of work has been put into this and we'd really like to see this thing through!   <3

Tip when writing your message:  DON'T use the "ransom" font.  The font is really big so it cuts off your message (and you can't change the size).

Reminder: ALL hate will be DELETED.   Hate includes:  bashing the Emmys, bashing Americans (which includes Elementary and CBS), bashing the Sherlock fandom, bashing any of the actors/writers/crew members/etc.  Okay??  This is a card of LOVE, please respect that!

UPDATE: Regarding the Card of Love!!

So, do you all know this post I made for a card???

HUGE UPDATE. I just made contact with a very nice lady at Hartswood Films (the company that produces Sherlock), and she assured me that our card WILL be passed on to the CAST AND CREW ONCE PRODUCTION STARTS!! 

Due to this we (wiz-chic and oliveswind) are using this new joined tumblr: helpsendthesherlockcardoflove.tumblr.com

SO- There are a couple of things that must be announced/done here: 

1- You can write about your love of the show in any capacity! (including if you don’t even want to talk about the Emmy’s!) Just show your love for any bit of the show, any of its actors, any of its creators, lighting people, director, writers, whatever! This is basically a we’re so proud of your 13 Emmy nominations/we love your show/ please do it for the next 50 years/ good luck going into season 3 card! 

2- It is going to cost us $50 (U.S.D.) to send this to them. So, we have a paypal account set up on our tumblr. If you just donate 10-15 CENTS (0.06-0.09 GBP) each we can get enough money to print it/send it! We hate asking you for money but since this is definitely getting sent to them, we hope we can get enough money for it. Anything that goes over $50, we will be donating to The Teenage Cancer Trust, so don't worry- we're not mooching! Please donate. 

3- Get the word around in our fandom! I hope everyone who wants to show love for our favourite show gets the chance! This card will be open until the end of OCTOBER on the 31st (Halloween) so get your messages in by then and keep spreading it around!  

*Every single message will be monitored so NO hate what so ever will go through us. We'll just delete the message. So
