celebrating christmas with your grandpa

happy holidays :)

you were completely looking forward to christmas with your grandpa, he always hosted an amazing dinner and gave the best presents. but mostly, you got to spend time with him, which you loved most of all

the entire week leading up to it, you couldn’t sleep, you couldn’t talk about anything else. you were looking forward to seeing your grandpa again, and everyone around you knew it, not that you cared

when the day finally came, you were the first one there. when you showed up and knocked on the door, your grandpa smiled when he opened the door, welcoming you in with a hug

since it was still early, you have plenty of time before you had to start setting up, so you and ducky were sat on the couch, just talking and catching up on life since you last saw each other. it was nice, you loved your grandpa so much, he was your biggest supporter and your role model. he was everything to you

before you knew it, it was finally time for the dinner. one by one your grandpa’s team from work showed up. gibbs first, followed by jimmy, abby, and tim, tony and ziva the last to arrive. you greeted each and every one of them, happy to see them all again

at dinner, you were all laughing and joking around as you ate, your grandpa’s food as amazing as always. you loved moments like this, where everyone was together and happy and just living in the moment

time seemed to pass by in the blink of an eye, because when you checked the time it had already been hours. once the table was cleared you all moved to the living room to continue conversation there, you sitting next to ducky with your head on his shoulder, which he didn’t mind at all

after what seemed like hours of talking and enjoying each other’s company, the team surprised you completely. they had each gotten a gift for you! you managed to not burst out crying, you were so grateful and hugged each of them

eventually, though, it was time to start heading out. one by one the team started to leave, each of them saying bye as they did, until only you were left. you wanted to stay here forever, but you knew eventually you had to leave as well. you said bye to your grandpa and gave him a hug, promising to visit again very soon and telling him you loved him. it was a very nice christmas, and you couldn’t wait until you could come back and see him again

celebrating halloween with jimmy

happy halloween 🎃👻

it took a bit of convincing, but you did manage to convince jimmy to join you in celebrating halloween. you had a ton of plans, going trick or treating with your nephews, watching halloween movies and eating a ton of candy

when the night finally came, you were more than excited, which jimmy definitely found amusing. he all but refused to dress up, and you didn’t want to seem weird so you didn’t dress up either. your nephews were dressed as captain america and iron man, so they kept pretending to be superheroes

when it was finally time to go, you and jimmy took your nephews around the neighborhood collecting candy. the boys kept getting compliments on their costumes, which your nephews always responded with a thank you

you were only out for a couple hours before the boys started complaining about being tired, so you all headed back to your place to relax for the rest of the night. once you made it back you all kicked off your shoes and went to sit on the couch, where you put on a kid friendly halloween movie. you were all cuddled up on the couch as you watched, eating candy from the boys’ baskets and just enjoying the night together

you had the boys for the night so when they fell asleep you set their baskets aside and you and jimmy each picked up a kid to take them upstairs to your spare room. since there was only one bed, the boys had to share, so you and jimmy set them down and tucked them in

afterwards you made your way downstairs, jimmy following behind you. you cleaned up a little, put the candy away and then settled back on the couch. jimmy put an arm around you, and you relaxed into him

the two of you ended up falling asleep together on the couch, jimmy with his arms around you. in the morning, you both were quite sore from the couch, but jimmy got up and went to make breakfast for everyone while you went upstairs to get the boys and to change

all in all, you’d say you had a pretty nice halloween, and you were already looking forward to more holidays you could spend with your fiancé

celebrating july 4 with the team

happy independence day :)

it was actually your idea to celebrate the fourth of july, and the team immediately jumped on the idea. so you all started sorting out details of who was bringing what and where you would be celebrating

your house had a pretty decent sized backyard, so you all agreed to hang out there. tim was in charge of snacks, tony had the drinks, ziva and abby would be helping with decorations. ducky even agreed to bring the fireworks

for the next few days, it was all the team could talk about. admittedly, it might’ve gotten on gibbs’ nerves a bit- a lot. but you were excited, so you couldn’t help it

the day finally came, ziva and abby came by earlier to help you set up. there were string lights and flag decorations all over your backyard, and even some inside. you also brought out a table to put food and drinks on, for when tim and tony arrived

one by one everyone started arriving, tim first followed by tony. ducky and jimmy shortly after. all that was missing was your boss, although you knew these kinds of things weren’t really his thing so you weren’t expecting him to show up

you were all laughing and talking, enjoying the evening with your friends. you were glad you thought of this, and everyone else agreed

once you could hear fireworks starting to go off, you all made your way to the front of your house. you didn’t want anything in your backyard to accidentally catch on fire, and decided it’d be better to do it from the sidewalk

you, jimmy and abby were messing around with little bang snaps while the rest of them set off the bigger fireworks. you got distracted by it every time, giving jimmy and abby the chance to get you with the snaps

as you were all enjoying your night, gibbs finally showed up, although you didn’t notice at first. you threw a snap without looking where you had aimed, and it landed right at the feet of your boss, making you freeze instantly and look up at him

he just gave a slight smile and went to stand by the rest of you, watching the fireworks with ducky and occasionally setting one off himself

you stayed out there for hours, and eventually one by one they all started going home. at the end it was just you and gibbs, so you made your way to your backyard and he helped you clean up and get everything inside

it was late, so you offered he take your bed to sleep. he refused, however, and insisted he take the couch. after a bit of back and forth you finally gave in, and in your tired state you told him he could join you if he wanted as you made your way upstairs towards your bedroom

gibbs stayed on the couch the whole night, and the next morning when you made your way downstairs you were hit with the smell of coffee and breakfast. when you went to investigate, you saw gibbs standing by the stove, cooking away

you were too tired to say anything so you just went to sit down at the table while you waited for him to finish up

it was a bit of an awkward conversation at work when the team had seen you and gibbs show up at the same time, but they begrudgingly believed you when you claim nothing happened and you all went on with your day, although some of you were still hungover from the night before

Gibbs

he doesn’t really know much about any of this, so when you come out to him it’s just kind of an awkward silence until he says that he doesn’t care who you date as long as you’re doing your job. but he does realize it’s a big deal for you so he invites you over to his house that night and cooks up some steaks for you guys to eat, he even lets you rant about whatever is on your mind, and offers advice even though he’s kinda clueless about all this.

McGee

he’s really nice about it, he tells you all that “as long as you’re happy” stuff but you can tell he means it. he gives you a hug too, and even offers to be your wingman when you go out. all in all, you really appreciate that, he makes sure to let you know that you still have a friend.

DiNozzo

he immediately makes a joke about it, but when he sees your face he apologizes and even offers to hook you up with a buddy of his. you politely decline but thank him. after that, he loves teasing you about it, although he does know when to stop. whenever you all go out as a team, tim and tony take their roles as wingmen very seriously, always hyping you up.

Ziva

when you come out to her, she tells you she already knew, and even laughs a little at your shocked face. she assures you she’s okay with it, and that she just hopes you find someone who makes you happy. she even starts standing up for you when tony teases you, but you all know it’s all in good fun.

Abby

abby has to hold back a scream when you tell her, she’s happy that you had the confidence to come out to her. she gives you a big hug, and tells you that she will never ever tell anyone unless you give the ok. you’re happy that she took it so well, and that you have a friend in her.

Jimmy

jimmy is a little awkward about it, but also glad that you felt it important enough that you chose to come out to him privately. he tells you that he won’t tell anyone, which makes you glad. he knows enough to not make a big deal about it, so you two just continue on as normal.

Ducky

ducky starts telling you a bunch of stories of the history of LGBT people and events, and even offers to go to the next pride celebration with you. you even tell him about how your own parents hadn’t accepted it, so ducky makes it his personal mission to make you see that you are loved and very much accepted at the office.

Torres

he’s not really that indifferent about it, he tells you it’s going to be okay and that he always has your back if anyone decides to mess with you. he always stands up for you, and gets even more protective of you, if that’s possible. you’re grateful for it, and start going to him for advice when you have a problem.

Bishop

ellie gives you a hug, and tells you that everything is going to be okay. she tells you that you can always go to her if you need anything, and you thank her for that. the next day she takes you out drinking, and even tries setting you up with someone, although it doesn’t go so well, but you just laugh about it afterwards.

all grown up

part 3 :) kinda short lol sorry but happy mother’s day to all the mums and mum figures

it was her first mother’s day as a mom, and jethro had invited them over for the day to celebrate. his two favorite girls and his son in law arrived around 11 am, the now six month old baby sleeping soundly in her dad’s arms

by the time they arrived, jethro had lunch ready. he greeted them at the door, shaking his son in law’s hand and pressing a kiss to his girls’ foreheads. once they were all inside, they made their way to the table to eat, his daughter holding her baby in her arms

after lunch, jethro cleaned up while the others went to relax on the couch. he could hear them talking, and he couldn’t help but smile to himself hearing them

they ended up staying the whole day, relaxing and enjoying the day. jethro and his son making sure that their girls were not doing anything, taking care of everything themselves

once night came, it was time to go, although jethro was hesitant to hand his granddaughter back to her mom. he did eventually, and as they left, they promised to come by as soon as possible. his daughter thanked him for the day, and they parted ways with a hug, jethro obviously excited to see his granddaughter again

family day at the lake

because yes :)

this trip has been a long time coming, and you desperately needed the break. you were all excited, the house buzzing with energy as you all were finishing packing for your day at the lake

it took a bit to wrangle three boys into the car, but once everyone was in and buckled up, you quickly made sure you had everything in the car so you could get going

with jethro driving, you tried to keep your two boys distracted, it was still early and the drive was easily about an hour, you didn’t want two cranky six year olds by the time you got there

after what felt like forever, you finally made it. you and jethro got out of the car first, then went to get your boys out. as soon as the twins were on the ground, they ran off towards the lake, jethro shouting at them to be careful

you and jethro grabbed your things from the trunk of the car, and went to go set up so you could join the boys before they hurt themselves

it was hours of fun and messing around in the lake, and before you knew it, it was lunchtime. you were out of the lake first, to go make sandwiches. you then called your boys over, the three of them running over to where you were to get their food

by the end of the day, you were all exhausted, and you all packed up your stuff to put back in the car. you had everyone change into dry clean clothes before you got them in the car. the whole drive back, the twins were talking about all the things they did and how they couldn’t wait to go back

by the time you got back home, the boys were asleep, so you and jethro each grabbed a twin to carry them inside and get them to bed. once they were tucked in and you made sure the night light was on, you and jethro left the room and went to your own, you two were also exhausted, and just wanted to go to sleep

you fell asleep with a smile on your face, you had had a blast at the lake, and you couldn’t wait for another family day like that

you had to work late, which you weren’t all too happy about, but at least it meant some extra cash. you finally got home, and you just wanted to go to bed

when you walked in the door, you could hear your son counting. when he got to ten, he started running around, and as he passed you, you stopped him and asked what he was doing

your five year old explained he was playing hide and seek with dad, and you laughed at that and let him go on his way, you were too tired to run around with him

you noticed he was headed for the basement, and you decided to follow after him so he wouldn’t hurt himself. your son was calling out for his dad, and looking around for him

you could see that silver hair of his sticking out from behind the boat, so you called your son over and silently hinted at it, so he could go get his dad

your son smiled and ran to where jethro was, your boy happy that he found him. jethro slowly stood up from behind the boat, looking at you as if silently asking if you had anything to do with it. you shrugged and shook your head no, even though you had been the one who told your son

jethro let out a laugh as he shook his head, and picked up your son, who was very excited that he had found his dad “all by himself”. you laughed as well, and the three of you made your way back upstairs to get your boy to bed

tim spending easter with your family

probably not the best lol sorry, but happy easter

you knew it was long shot, but you’d been dating tim for a while now and thought it’d be nice if he met your family. and since easter was coming up, you thought that’d be the perfect opportunity

you finally worked up the courage to ask him to join you, and he was very happy to join you to visit your family for easter. you were ecstatic, and you couldn’t wait to introduce him to your family

the day finally came, and although you were very excited you couldn’t help but be a little nervous. tim was happy as well, he couldn’t wait to meet your family

when you finally got to your parents’ house, you were greeted by hugs and tackles from the younger members, making you laugh as you greeted them

once you made it to the living room you introduced tim to your family, pointing out who was who so your boyfriend wouldn’t be so confused

after a while of mingling and greeting and catching up with everyone, it was finally time for the easter egg hunt. you were partnered with your young nephew, and you were determined to help him win

once the hunt was underway, you helped your nephew find eggs, hoping to win the hunt. seeing as your nephew was four, it was a bit difficult to keep him focused

you ended up coming in second place, behind tim and your niece, with whom he had been partnered with. you knew he’d never let that go, and that he’d tease you about it forever

finally that night, once you made it back home, you plopped down on the couch. it’s been a long day, although fun, but you were tired. tim sat down next to you, making a joke about winning the hunt, and you rolled your eyes

you were glad tim got along so well with your family, and you couldn’t wait to bring him over again, but for now you just wanted to get to bed

you’d known since you were a teenager, but coming from a strict israeli family, there was no way you would be accepted, that’s what you believed. so you kept it hidden, trying as best you could to appear normal for your family

you’d moved to the states not long after ziva did, and you found it a bit difficult to adjust to western culture. but you managed to get by just fine, although still suppressing who you were. you were scared of others’ reactions, so you just never said anything

you’d actually even managed to find a partner, and they were everything you wanted and needed, and you were so very happy with your new life. you’d managed to keep the secret from ziva for quite a while, but you knew you eventually had to tell her the truth

so you invited her over one day, to tell her. you’d made some food as well, hoping it could help you somehow. you were nervous, but your partner assured you everything would be okay

when ziva arrived you greeted her with a hug, and moved aside to let her inside. the both of you made it over to the couch, where you both sat down, your partner joining you as well

it took a while to finally say it, but when you did you held your breath, not sure what ziva would say. after what seemed like forever, a smile appeared on her face, and she told you she already knew

after the initial shock, you finally smiled. of course she knew, it was ziva. noticing the worry on your face, ziva assured you she was completely okay with it, which was a huge relief for you

at first you don’t even realize you’re sick, so you continue your day as you always do. you go to work, although with sniffles and you clearly being under the weather. you insist you’re fine, but gibbs orders you to go home and rest. you’re not about to disobey an order from your boss, so you reluctantly agree to go home

you barely make it inside your house before you get the urge to throw up, so you rush to the bathroom and manage to get down by the toilet just before you lose your breakfast

over the next some hours, it’s just you going back and forth between your toilet and your bed, not that you can sleep anyway. you absolutely hate this, but have no energy to do anything else, so you stay in bed.. until you have to throw up again

you don’t even know what time it was, when you heard the front door open and someone letting themself in. you hoped it wasn’t an intruder, you had absolutely no energy to fight anyone

it was only when the person showed up in your room did you calm down. it was jimmy, still in his scrubs, but he had soup, so you didn’t care

he went over and sat down by you, telling about how he had heard you were sick and wanted to come see how you were. you could barely keep your eyes open, but you let him know you appreciated it

jimmy spent the rest of the day taking care of you; helping you to the bathroom, helping you eat, keeping you comfortable. you told him he didn’t have to, but he insisted

after a couple days, you were back to your usual self, no more cold! but jimmy had gotten sick in return, so now it was you who had to care for your boyfriend

It’s really been quite obvious, Jimmy was never the best at hiding how he felt about you. What the team found the most amusing, however, is that despite how obvious it was, you had no clue!

You really had no idea, and you really didn’t know where the teasing stemmed from. Tony making jokes about you and Palmer, or as Tony called him, Autopsy Gremlin. Ziva and Abby planning out big future events like a wedding and babies. You were totally clueless and it was infuriating

Until one day, you had gone down because Gibbs had sent you for an update. As Ducky was talking, you were completely focused on what he was saying, not even noticing the look Jimmy had on his face. You might not have noticed it, but Ducky of course, did. After you left, Ducky pulled Gibbs’ signature move and made a swift slap to the back of Jimmy’s head, telling him that if he didn’t tell you, then he will do so himself

That seemed to have kickstarted something in Jimmy, because the very next day, he finally asked you out! It came completely out of the blue for you, but you enthusiastically agreed

All of your friends would make fun of you, for dating Tim. They all thought you were too attractive for him, and out of his league. But you ignored them. You really like Tim, and that’s all that mattered to you

And when Tim introduced you to his team, it got worse. Especially from Tony. He wouldn’t stop pestering Tim about how he managed to land you, how you should be going out with him instead of Tim, how you were way out of Tim’s league. McGee tried to ignore it as much as possible, he knew he liked you and you liked him and that’s what he cared about

Until one day, you went to visit Tim at the office. Tony wouldn’t stop questioning you about why you were dating Tim and not someone more attractive and who’s “not some computer nerd”

You’d had enough. You looked at Tony and proceeded to basically explain to him how Tim will always be better than him in every way possible, how much you loved Tim and how you know he loves you too, how Tony is just jealous. All of it, you were tired of his constant jokes

The entire team was quiet, Tony just standing there as you went off on him. After you were done, you went right over to Tim and kissed him, and told him you loved him

The next day, Tim proposed to you, and of course you said yes! You were excited, and you couldn’t wait to spend the rest of your life with him.

Jethro took her hand as they made their way onto the floor, music gearing up for the father-daughter dance. She looked so beautiful in her white dress, she looked just like Cinderella, and he made sure to tell her that.

Look at the two of you dancing that way, lost in the moment, in each other’s face. So much in love, you’re alone in this place, like there’s nobody else in the world. I was enough for her not long ago. I was her number one, she told me so. And she still means the world to me, just so you know. So be careful when you hold my girl. Time changes everything, life must go on. And I’m not gonna stand in your way.

As they danced, Jethro couldn’t help but smile at her. “You look absolutely beautiful, sweetheart.” He told her, barely loud enough so only she could hear him. She smiled, her beautiful smile that had Jethro wrapped around her finger ever since he first saw it all those years ago.

I loved her first, I held her first. And a place in my heart, will always be hers. From the first breath she breathed, when she first smiled at me. I knew the love of a father runs deep. And I prayed that she’d find you some day, but it’s still hard to give her away. I loved her first.

There was no denying that she’d always be his little girl. She had him wrapped around her finger, and she knew that too. As they danced, Jethro couldn’t help but notice she looked so much like her mother, as beautiful as her. He made sure to tell her that, and her smile was proof enough for him that he had done a good job all these years.

How could that beautiful woman with you, be the same freckle faced kid that I knew. The one that I read all those fairytales to, and tucked into bed all those nights.

All the memories started flooding his mind, of her as a child, begging for stories before bedtime and almost pleading to stay up an extra ten minutes, only to knock out right after. All those nights tucking her in, knowing one day she’ll get too old for that. Sometimes he missed those days, but watching her grow up has undoubtedly been his greatest pride.

And I knew the first time I saw you with her, it was only a matter of time.

He remembered the first time he came over, her introducing him as her boyfriend, Jethro almost breaking the boy’s hand during their handshake. He didn’t want to admit it, that his little girl was growing up. But seeing them together, he had no doubt that it was just meant to be.

Only a couple years later, Jethro was pacing the hospital hallways, worried out of his mind. Was she okay? Was the baby okay? After what seemed like forever, a doctor finally came to get him “Congratulations, sir. You have a beautiful and healthy granddaughter.”

Jethro breathed a sigh of relief, and made his way towards the room to see for himself. When he went inside, he couldn’t help but smile. There she was, with a bundle of pink in her arms. Jethro made his way over, pressing a kiss to her head before looking down to admire his granddaughter. She was absolutely beautiful, and he couldn’t wait for the whole new adventure that was to come.

he likes to cuddle up on the couch. he would never dare admit it to anyone else but he’s a big softie and a huge cuddle lover, it’s even better with a cozy blanket and some hot chocolate, no matter the time of year

you somehow always end up falling asleep halfway through the movie, your head on his shoulder. he pretends to be annoyed by it but he secretly loves it. he just covers you more with the blanket and turns down the volume so he can finish the movie while you sleep

the two of you always end up sleeping on the couch together, tony keeping you close to him and his arms around you. in the morning you’re both sore from the couch but he always makes it better with a massage and making breakfast
