The Knight of Faith, the Knight of Hope, and the Knight of Love
I traveled through time back to the future last night. Back to my present. The gift I have today as I look at the objects above my sister’s lakehouse fireplace, is seeing the life she has led. There are photographs of her with our nephew and nieces. There are photographs of her with her kids. There are photographs of her with her friends visiting from China. And there are photographs of her with her partner. These photographs represents the best most moments of her life. There is a candles and incense. There are even her children’s piggy banks. There is even a CD mixtape at the top right shelf that I made for her when I was going to school in Montreal. My part in her great life. These memories of the people that are a part of our lives and love us are the candles of hope that give us faith for the life ahead. They are the foundation of our lives and the rock which the shelter of our soul resides. It is for love that we exist. So in order to live, we must love.
So forth, if the love we hold in our hearts are the markers for our past and present, and if this love is the root of our faith, what marks a knight of faith? Then if faith succeed hope, and hope succeed love, then it is love that is the root of all. For God so love his Son completely that he creates the world, and God so love the world that he gave his only Son. Then the love I give must be also the love I receive. ‘cause God love his Son completely and his Son love him completely, that is the perfect love. If the knight of faith is markered by his absolute faith in God, for Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, his only son, whom he loves; then what precedes that is his absolutely hope in God, that God will give back which he gives. But that is the contradiction. How can Isaac be returned to him if he is to be sacrificed. His absolutely hope is that which he placed in God, for all impossibilities are made possible. And what precedes all that is his absolute love in God. By being the knight of faith, Abraham is also the knight of hope, and the knight of love.
However, the life that Abraham lives is not that of ritz and glitter. In fact, he is tested by God again and again. God asks him to abandon his country and leave for another that God will promise to give to him and his descendants. No sane person would leave the comfort and the comfortable living of their lives to walk thousands of miles to the unknown. Would you do it? That makes him the exception. Few men are called, and fewer answers.
If by definition the knight of faith is to have the absolute hope in his faith for God, even to the denial of the reality of the world, if all else fails to bring that faith into fruition, then his faith in God will do so. By virtue of the impossible, that God fulfills. That is the faith being rewarded from hope that stems from it. That is the knight of faith, to have the absolute hope in his faith in God.
Then what is the knight of hope. By this consequential reasoning, then the knight of hope must be the one that has absolute love in his hope in God. Few would argue and just as few would understand that to have hope in God you must love that hope you have been given. If you understand it you surely would not agree with it. “To have hope in God I must now love that hope. And to have absolute hope in God I must now have absolute love in that hope?” What kind of wishy washy guru wisdom are you selling me mister?”, you would say. But is it not true, even in the most difficult times and the trials and tests we have through life, God will still give us a gift, and that is in the present you see before you. In the hardest of times we are still given hope if we have faith. And that hope will become fruits in the future, and those fruits are the realisation of all of our hope for our lives. That is why it is absolutely true.
Then what is the knight of love then? Is it still consequential that in order to be the knight of love I must also precedes myself as being the knight of something else. Love is foundation of our existence. The LORD create you in his own image out of that love. And what precedes our flesh and bones before we are born is our soul being created in the womb. Then it is our very soul that precede the knight of love. It is in us to love. It is our very core. We are meant to love. But very few are called, and very few answers ‘cause we are obsessed with all our other preoccupations of life. And we never take the time to understand that in order for us to live we must love. We are born to love so let us do our jobs and love. While we are at it, we might as well be good at it.
Going back to my sister’s shelves above the fireplace, the things that are there represents the best part of her life. The picture frames, the CDs, the paintings, the decorations and the rest of our lives hung on shelves and walls represent our lives. If we keep reminding ourselves that the people in our lives have given us a wealth of love that will be the candles of hope for the faith we ought to have for our future, then we will do just fine. We will have a great life, not just a good one.

Skin and bones
By Coldplay, Atticus & Halsey
I'm here at the sunrise
The glare of the Sun
Blinds my sight
The waves come in
And I can't help but feel
The sea as vast as it is
Is small to the moments
Of those nights
When your fingers
crawled through my spine
And you seen my heart naked
Yeah the yellow star shines
And I know this skin and bones
Is beautiful in your eyes
This love is mine
Like the times
When we danced in the light
I'm here at the sunset
And the rays of the Sun
Pierce my heart
As the clouds float away
I know even if the rain falls
And grey skies come my midst
And tears fall to the ground
It is for your absence
And the remembrance
Of your eyes so blue
Just like this blue sea
Where you and me used to be
Yeah the yellow star shines
And I know this skin and bones
Is beautiful in your eyes
This love is mine
Like the times
When we danced in the light
Yeah when we danced in the light

The yellow in your eyes
By Atticus, Chris Martin & Sasha Sloan
Waiting for a rainbow in the sky
Waiting for the yellow in your eyes
I know I say this
But I'm waiting for the sunrise
As I shiver
LORD, can I make a prayer at nine
Yeah I see that youth in your sly
Yeah the tears seem so shy
Yeah and I wonder why
The yellow in your skin and bones is gone
And your hair is hoaring white
I was hoping for at least a good bye
Today is blue sky
But I'm missing the yellow in your eyes
Is the heart of summer really gone
Staring at the blue sky
And I'm wondering why
I thought I was your girl
I was hoping for more than a hi
I was hoping for more than a smile
I was hoping for more than heaven high
Yeah I see that youth in your sly
Yeah the tears seem so shy
Yeah and I wonder why
The yellow in your skin and bones is gone
And your hair is hoaring white
I was hoping for at least a good bye
Today is blue sky
But I'm missing the yellow in your eyes
Yeah I'm missing the yellow in your eyes

With wanderlust I sail away
There was a lighthouse by the Red Sea
As we walked to freedom
It lit the way
I prayed that GOD takes this life
And bring me across the vast sea
GOD destroy evil we cry
We Prayed between the stepping stones
And it was drowned with the chariots
This is your charity
And you built a church on top of a cliff near that sea
And you brought it to the fullest of the charity in you
And near the cliff overlooking the darkness
A lighthouse to lit the wayfaring ships
As I wander as a wanderer on this good Earth
With wanderlust I remember the warm hands that gave me warmth
The strong shoulder that soaked the tears
And the fostering arms that held me in your cradle
The love you gave me I have never forgotten ‘til this very day
So as the lighthouse shine on the parting of the sea
I remember GOD’S promise
The love that bore me in my mother’s womb and my father’s arms
With wanderlust I sail for the Red Sea
To the splitting of the sea
And this is the promise of this good and rich Earth
To have all of your love in good and rich heart
So LORD with wanderlust I sail away
To the parting of sea
And there I will find all that I have lost
‘cause the resurrection lives in your soul

One thousand paper cranes
By Atticus, Coldplay & Chris Tomlin for the new Morning Star, Sadako Sasaki
I remember the warm spring
When the cherry blossom bloomed so wild
And the cool walks with my mother
Under the morning light
The Sun would rise
Above Mount Fuji way up high
And my father would pick me up
Onto his shoulder when I tire
And we would lay under
Heaven’s thunder in the night
And my brother would tell me
If I can count up to a thousand stars
My wish would come true that night
Yeah my wish would come true that night
We would stay up in GOD’S mercy
‘til The Morning Star’s light
But that night if you were
Up in the evening sky then I shall go
And in the twilight if you climbed
To the mountaintop then I shall go
And in the sunrise if you were
Up in the clouds then even then I shall go
When the bombs fell in Hiroshima and Nagasaki
In that summer of thorns and thistles
The dust rise to sky high
But my grandmother told me
If I prayed the smoke
Would rise to heaven high
Then I cried
Yeah I cried
As my white bones greyed
And my flesh withered
The thousand nights under heaven’s thunder
Brought tears to my eyes
And my brother tell me
If I fold a thousand paper cranes
GOD would answer my prayer that night
Yeah GOD would answer my prayer that night
We would stay up in GOD’S mercy
‘til The Morning Star’s light
But that night if you were
Up in the evening sky then I shall go
And in the twilight if you climbed
To the mountaintop then I shall go
And in the sunrise if you flew
Up to the clouds then even then I shall go
Yeah I shall go

Lily of the valleys
By Atticus, Coldplay, & Elevation Worship for Nastya and her family. Proceed goes to her care.
Remember the car ride home
The sea was blue as the sky
I picked you up from the hospital
Like you were the lily of the valleys
And we sang our songs
And we were happy
Even through the tears
I see you move
You're moving mountains
And I believe
I'll see you do it again
You made a way
When there was no way
And I believe
I'll see you do it again
There were days where I lost hope
But all my faith is you
This love like a thorn pricked heart
But I believe our love will be the light
Even in the valleys
And the songs we sang
Were like the lily of the valleys
And we were happy
Even through the tears
I see you move
You're moving mountains
And I believe
I'll see you do it again
You made a way
When there was no way
And I believe
I'll see you do it again
I see you move
You're moving mountains
And I believe
I'll see you do it again
You made a way
When there was no way
And I believe
I'll see you do it again
Yeah I'll see you do it again

I raise my Ebenezer up high
By Atticus, Coldplay & Jenn Johnson
I know it hasn’t been four hundred years yet
And that last straw hasn’t broke my back just yet
But my soul has become the desolate
So I ask please LORD
Am I just a vagabond and derelict
Drifting through my own life
Not sure what it has in store
I come to Jerusalem wall
With wild roses in my hands
And thorns as my crown
I have pockets full of prayers
And lips to sing your name
In days of victory
Can you count me in
Your loving son
Begging on his knees
So I look to the clouds above me
And while it rains
And thunders roar before me
And the wind sweep in
I dare raise my Ebenezer up high
Oh higher than the clouds
As I come to the shore
There is a sea before me
And an army behind
So I fall to my knees
In the most earnest plea
Don’t let me drown tonight
Hold me ‘til the morning light
So I cry a hosanna to The North Star
LORD, come before me
And a lighthouse behind
LORD, bring Your outstretched right hand of deliverance
And bring into liberation
Your loyal and faithful servant, Israel
In days of victory
Can you count me in
Your loving son
Begging on his knees
So I look to the clouds above me
And while it rains
And thunders roar before me
And the wind sweep in
I dare raise my Ebenezer up high
Oh higher than the clouds
LORD, you walk before me
A pillar of clouds by day
And a pillar of fire by night
Though it has been years
That my tears well up in the wilderness
I am so grateful Your footsteps before me
But as my tears drop
At the border of The Promised Land
I cry for my spirit
Is wrinkled and greyed
So let my Ebenezer be raised up high
And in my hoared hair
I will follow You up the mountaintop
And finally see the kingdom You built for me
Yeah I will raise my Ebenezer up high
Yeah I will raise my Ebenezer up high

Light
Where there is light, there is love
For you were born in the light
And I first held you also in the light
And you first cried for me in the very light
And I seen your tears dripping in the same light
Now your heart ache in the night
Your blue eyes were the blue sky
Your white hair was the hoar of my soul
And I cried for those blue eyes
Wishing they will return to the night sky and fill it with daylight
I count clouds passing by
And hope this day would come
‘cause when you cried my blue sky turn grey
‘til it is the grey of the night
I will hold you within the light
‘cause the love you gave me was the love I needed
I will kiss you in the light
‘cause the hand that held me was that that wipe my tears away
I will love you in the light
‘cause the ache within me will shed in your very light
You are my light
And I will hold you
I will spent my spirit in that light
‘cause your light has ran away the darkness
You are my light
And I will hold you

In the footsteps of the Lord
You’ve been through the dessert, haven’t you? Then I shall go.
You went out of Egypt, haven’t you? Then I shall go.
You’ve crossed the sea bottom, haven’t you? Then I shall go.
You’ve gone through the valley, haven’t you? Then I shall go.
You’ve set up camp in the wilderness, haven’t you? Then I shall go.
You’ve climbed up the mountaintop, haven’t you? Then I shall go.
You’ve arrived at the promised land, haven’t you? Then I shall go.
Until I see your face.

How an angel cry
By Minh, Coldplay & Sasha Sloan for the celebration of the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics Games
Is it raining tonight
This liquor won’t dry your eyes
Are you crying tonight
Those grey clouds in your eyes
Can you come into the light
I want you in my sight
‘cause this hurt needs to be made right
Is this love forsaken
Or am I mistaken
Is this how
I said is this how an angel cry
Yeah the tears
Yeah the tears fall from so high
Yeah the tears fall from so high
You took my spirit
While I cradle your soul
One hand on the crucifix
And another on the bottle
And you drank the holy water down
Hoping to GOD
Yeah hoping to GOD
That it will burn the sin away
With the liver
And I cry
Yeah I cry
So this is how an angel cry
Yeah this is how an angel cry
The river is neck high
And I’m drowning in liquor tonight
So crossing this water
Brings all of my spirit to fright
Will the grey clouds from my eyes ever dry
‘cause my soul is soaked up to neck high
Yeah I think
Yeah I think I’ll drown in the sea
Sinking in
Sinking in all of my shame
Oh will the rain ever wash this sin away
Yeah I wonder if the rain ever wash this sin away
‘cause LORD knows my body is clean dry
And my soul is soaked
You took my spirit
While I cradle your soul
One hand on the crucifix
And another on the bottle
And you drank the holy water down
Hoping to GOD
Yeah hoping to GOD
That it will burn the sin away
With the liver
And I cry
Yeah I cry
So this is how an angel cry
Yeah this is how an angel cry

O come, o come, Immanuel
I hear you whisper
O come, o come, Immanuel
But as the drum rolls
Were you in the field
Where yellow flower grows
And the river flows
And the blooming lavender knows
Of my aching bones
Where I wanted to throw
These skin and bones
Into the endless ocean
So this beauty I see in you
Will be the teal sky so green and blue
It is what you do
This kindred soul
Carved out your name
Onto this kindred tree
And as my tears flow
Into a flood of tears
I see a river flow in you
You know
You know I love you so
So how can I go
Without waking to see you
In the light you know
And though the stars shine
Like the twinkling of your eyes
You are the white rose
That grows in the Sun
And your heart is white
Like the white of your eyes
And the white of your skin
And all the white of your hair
And I know
This ache you feel
I feel it too
This love is blood of lamb
You were the sunrise peak
And I’ll eat you like the bread of life
And you’re the apple of my eye
‘cause from the beginning
This bitter fruit is sweet
And I love you so
Like the wind from breath
I inhale you in
And call this breath you give life
And say this kiss you blow love
I remember when you were born
I cradled you in my arms
And call your name love
‘cause this love is life
And with you in the light
This life is love
I swam across
To your aching bones
And I know
This love atones
‘til all that is sacred
Is sacrosanct
And this yellow star
Is the now my brightest star

Lost and found
By Atticus & Carrie Underwood
I take this wretched heart into my arms
All my life I was a fool
Folly was the way
I fooled around
And now all my tears
Come raining down
As I raised my eyes
To the crucifix of Christ
This cross I bear
In empty hands
As I stand at the lost and found
For all things lost are found in me
I shed all the tears
For this day to come
A river of tears is the sum
For a wretched heart
And a soul found in GOD
This ground I till
‘til my labour is found in The LORD
And now all my tears
Come raining down
As I raised my eyes
To the crucifix of Christ
This cross I bear
In empty hands
As I stand at the lost and found
For all things lost are found

All that is bountiful
By Atticus, Taylor, Johnathan David Helser & Melissa Helser
So what will it be
Death or the sea
I see you crying
Is it you or me
But life doesn’t come easy
And now you see
This is what it means to be free
As I laid bare
And as my spirit pours
This I dare
Take me to the wilderness
Take me to all that is bountiful
Take me to the west coast
Take me to Columbia
Take me back to Eden
Take me to our Promised Land
We are the sons of inheritance
And across this sea is freedom...
Oh oh oh oh oh X 4
La la la la la X 4
This sea is where my soul is bearing
And whence the fire kindled from my heart
I call you this is freedom
And I am the SONS of GOD
I am the SONS of GOD
I am the SONS of GOD
Yes I am
I am the SONS of GOD
I am the SONS of GOD
I am the SONS of GOD
This sea is where my soul is bearing
And whence the fire kindled from my heart
I call you this is freedom
And I am the SONS of GOD
This is your right hand of deliverance
GOD you know my heart
These tears are in commemoration
And this cry is from my soul’s Ebenezer
You are my Eucharist and salvation
You are the bread that I eat
And the wine that I drink
Yes, you are the flesh that I eat
And the blood that I drink
And I surrender to your providence
‘cause your providence saved me
This sea is where my soul is bearing
And whence the fire kindled from my heart
I call you this is freedom
And I am the SONS of GOD
I am the SONS of GOD
I am the SONS of GOD
Yes I am
Yes I am
I am the SONS of GOD

Endless ocean
By Atticus & Tim McGraw feat. Keith Urban & Coldplay
In ‘97 when my mother died
I cried that night
She told me this is love to her
From the Atlantic of Ireland
To the Pacific of Corea
Love is the endless ocean
And my bleeding heart cried
For all that I’m missing
Then I turned to my brother
I got you
And you got me
And mum has heaven
Waiting for her
And I hope to God
You walk her to the pearly white gates
But I know angels don’t fly away in the cold
So I wrote a letter to you
I walked to the Royal Mail
After school and I cried
All the way through
I know you don’t remember me
But I had memories of you
And as you lay in that hospital bed
At the shore of the endless ocean
Of Massachusetts I cried
‘cause what’s left of my memories
Of my mother rest with you
And I hope she rests in peace
But all her pieces rest with you
So I wrote stories of you
After my mother died
Hoping you would read it
It was in the daily mail
And I hope you’d been getting my mails
But I know life without her was hard
This life is a mess
So I picked up all the mess
And joined the army
Hoping to heaven our mum is proud
But among the fields where poppies grow
I cried as I write my stories of you
I know you don’t know me
But I love you
And if I die where my brothers died
I hope to heaven you’re proud of me
But I know angels don’t fly away in the cold
So I wrote a letter to you
I walked to the Royal Mail
After school I cried
All the way through
I know you don’t remember me
But I had memories with you
And as you lay in that hospital bed
At the shore of the endless ocean
Of Massachusetts I cried
‘cause what’s left of my memories
Of my mother rest with you
I hope she rests in peace
But all her pieces rest with you
Yeah all her pieces rest with you
Yeah you know all her pieces rest with you

Twenty Brave National Guards (Texas Kingdom National Anthem)
By Atticus & Blake Shelton feat. Kentsington
O X12
The Sun rose over Lake Texoma
And I held your hand
For all of God’s promise
I know this is The LORD’S Kingdom to come
But we have to do our part
We all took a shot
Of that Tennessee whiskey
For the twenty brave National Guards
Then the one to the left
Said all that’s left of my country
Is God’s Kingdom to come
And the one to the right
What’s right is we are all
Here to do our part
To save Kingdom Come
So I hope it’s coming
And I cried last night
When I kissed my son goodbye
Knowing my prayer will reach heaven high
And I know if I tell you my story
We all ain’t much
But together we’re the last hope
This world’s got
So what I got
Is my bruised heart
And all my soul to give
And I know I ain’t some great hero
‘cause I started from zero
But this band of brothers got me going
And when we going passed sixty
This is hell we raising
We flew passed Virginia
And I whispered a prayer to God
If this band of brothers
Pass away by the night
Take my soul to keep
And LORD I pray
My daughter she grows old
And I kissed the crucifix
For this is the cross I bear
And when the dark night come in sight
I blew the rudder
Hey boys, this is hell we raising
We blew the top off
And chased the hounds of hell
Back to its door
Then I raised hell to the ground
This is hell we raising
This I ain’t kidding
Then I burned Satan’s demons on the cross
This I ain’t kidding
This is hell we raising
And I know if I tell you my story
We all ain’t much
But together we’re the last hope
This world’s got
So what I got
Is my bruised heart
And all my soul to give
And I know I ain’t some great hero
‘cause I started from zero
But this band of brothers got me going
And when we going passed sixty
This is hell we raising
This is hell we raising
Yeah this is hell we raising
