You guys rlly don't realise how much knowledge is still not committed to the internet. I find books all the time with stuff that is impossible to find through a search engine- most people do not put their magnum opus research online for free and the more niche a skill is the less likely you are to have people who will leak those books online. (Nevermind all the books written prior to the internet that have knowledge that is not considered "relevant" enough to digitise).

Whenever people say that we r growing up with all the world's knowledge at our fingertips...it's not necessarily true. Is the amount of knowledge online potentially infinite? Yes. Is it all knowledge? No. You will be surprised at the niche things you can discover at a local archive or library.

fics that are like 500 to 1200 words or so often have a particular kind of energy to me - like the author sat bolt upright in bed, struck by the most brilliant inspiration of their entire lives, and then typed as fast as their fingers would allow them to in order to capture it all before it left.

oneshots that are just a straight, clear shot from the brain to the page with no real filter in between? that's good stuff right there.

just wanted to say that reading the biggering was such a blast and i love the informal vibes it had compared to most si fics in got

i really appreciate it!!

something i actually dislike is how every asoiaf si fic is like. so serious. so unbearably serious. like i can handle a little seriousness, and i've enjoyed plenty of them! but there feels like theres a palpable obession with making fem si especially miserable and unhappy. like bro...i dont want to read about this poor woman being forced into a marriage bc the people around her don't see her as a person.

anyways i wrote biggering to be the opposite of that in hopes that it inspired other people to make fics that are less intrigue heavy and serious. so far it doesn't seem to be working, but im holding out hope.

something thats crazy to me is how people say "we're born alone and we die alone." like. ur mom was there. your mom carried you to term, she fucking worked for it. and now you're here. and so are all of we. and when you die, even if it's in the middle of nowhere on this silly planet, someone out there probably loves you or has loved you or could have loved you.

Everyone wants to fuck the Orcs but will never admit it and they got so bent out of shape that a demon god killed the og orc god, ate him, and shat him out bc she couldn't deal with everyone complimenting them all the time so now all Orcs are cursed to be hated but they're all still sexy & so is their god
