Bekah had been expecting Theo this afternoon so she had been tidying up the apartment a bit. She had the twins preoccupied with some toys and whichever children’s show was playing on the television at the moment. She was always glad to have Theo over to be a helping hand or to take the kids for an afternoon, or even a sleepover. It was nice to be able to have the twins see their parents together. Hearing the knock on the door she smiled and walked over opening the door. “You know you can just come in anytime right?” she said with a soft smile before stepping aside so that Theo could come inside. Leading him towards the den she smiled and leaned down speaking to the twins, “Look who’s here!” she said her voice a little sing songy as  she spoke to the toddlers. 

Theo greeted Rebekah with a large smile and a hug, chuckling as she reprimanded him for knocking as he entered her apartment. “I know, I know - it’s an old habit. One day, I promise, I’ll surprise you and actually just walk on in,” he laughed, as he followed her into the den, where he caught sight of his two little munchkins, who were completely engrossed in the television. When she called their attention, his face split into an affectionate smile as the twins squealed “Daddy!” and toddled their way towards him. He met them halfway, kneeling more to their level, and caught them easily in his long arms. “Hello, my darlings,” Theo greeted the adorable duo, hugging them both tight and placing a kiss on each of their tiny blond heads, before standing with Aiden and Adelaine in each arm, and moving to the sofa to sit with the twins now in his lap. “I missed you like crazy this weekend,” he all but gushed, having not had the chance to see his children at all, as he’d been booked with video conferences the whole time. He then turned his attention toward Rebekah, “And how have you been?”

It was just a few minutes til noon, and Theo was on his way to Rebekah’s place, to visit for a while before taking Aiden and Adelaine out for the day to the park. He’d spent a good portion of his morning talking via video chat to a few of his fellow Cambridge researchers, discussing the dig in Morocco that was planned for mid-August, but he’d decided in the end to turn it down as he wanted to spend the rest of the summer with his children. It had been a hard decision to make, as he absolutely loved Morocco, but well, he loved his kids more than any little place on earth. They always came first before any assignment or new chance of exploring. Pulling up to Rebekah’s, Theo parked and got out before heading up to the front door. Although they had an open door policy with one another, he still knocked - as he always did - ever the polite gentleman he was.

Sophia had just ended her shift successfully closing yet another case. Normally she would be thrilled and go home with a smile on her face but today just didn’t seem like that kind of day for her. So she was ending her night at the bar. After a few drinks, she decided to head out for a smoke. Stepping out of the building, she walked over not too far and pulled out a cigarette. Placing the stick between her lips, she pulled a lighter out and lit the cigarette. She took a long drag from it as she puts her lighter away then took it between her fingers and blew out the smoke. Without realizing, she started pacing in front of the bar. A habit she had when she had a lot on her mind. 

After a fun filled day spent at Rainbow Beach with the twins, Theo was finding himself more than a little sick of the sun and actually exhausted. He was glad that Aiden and Adelaine had truly had a blast, and it was always a joy to spend time with his kids, but now all Theo wanted to do was have a drink, and relax, now that they were both back with Rebekah for the night. Happy to get a little time to himself, he made his way to his favorite pub - or bar, as he has to remind himself, and was just about to enter when he caught sight of a young woman smoking - she seemed to be pacing back and forth. Normally he wouldn’t have thought twice about it, but he was in a chatty mood and she looked like she seemed to have a lot on her mind, so with a shrug, Theo slowly approached her, though he did hesitate at first - after all, he was still wanting a drink. “Hey, are you okay? You seem a little stressed, pacing back and forth like that.”

“I’m obviously that curious,” she said, fixing him with a pointed look. “What are you doing right now?”

Raising a brow at the look she gave him, he shrugged with a smile. “Well, I’m just coming back from dropping the twins off at their mother’s, so I’m not doing anything right now. It’s as good of a time as any, if you want to come over.”

Theo: It's just part of the job and my lifestyle, I guess. Grew up doing it a lot, and it's just second nature now. I love the wilderness.

Theo: Of course! They love hearing from you. Oh, wonderful, I can't wait! I haven't had a good camping trip in a few months, so I'd be thrilled to go. I'm honestly bummed I can't this time. Where will you be going?

“No way. Pictures or it didn’t happen,” Sherrie said, putting her hands up like I don’t make the rules.

“Well, as it happens, I’ve got many photos to prove it. Part of my job is to get photographic evidence, which I did. I have a whole portfolio of proof at home.” He wasn’t being boastful, just a hundred percent truthful. “I’ll gladly show them to you sometime, if you’re really that curious.”

Theo: That's because I've been camping and hiking quite a lot. My job sometimes requires it, and I also just do it for the fun of it.

Theo: I'm love to say yes, but unfortunately I've got my kids this week. Any other time, and I'd take you up on the offer, without a doubt.

Theo: Planning is fine, but for me, plans are pretty pointless, as I never follow them most of the time.

Theo: Hmm...At the top of my head, no, but let me think on it and I may be able to come up with something.

Mia: What's the most essential thing for a camping trip?

Theo: Definitely food - and drinking water if you're going pretty deep in the woods. When I go camping, I normally take a machete, a pair of hiking poles, a flare gun with extra flares, a satellite tracker or GPS, and a couple of lanterns or flashlights, and a way to get a fire going.

Theo: Also some bug repellent, especially if you're going camping close to a water source.

    — killian took a deep breath, “have a seat. what can i do for you?” he asked the person across from him, “i do have a meeting in about an hour. so i may have to cut this meeting a little short.” he told the other.

“Thank you,” Theo spoke politely as he took the offered seat, glad that he was able to be seem that afternoon in order to discuss his project with the other man. “I’m Theodore Cain,” he introduced himself firstly, before jumping right into his reason for being there. “I heard you were one of the best designers in the city, and I'm here to inquire about a floor plan and the construction process of a home on the plot of land I just purchased a few miles from here,” he explained, before frowning, a little disappointed at the mention of their meeting being cut short. 

“How short are we talking?” he asked, as he glanced down casually at his watch, before turning his blue eyes back to the architect before him. He’d planned to be here for at least a good hour, but as long as they got everything ironed out, he honestly didn’t care how long their meeting ran.

“You can’t wrangle me into your stupid ideas. Remember, I’m a cop. I can’t be doing illegal shit.” Crosby laughed, taking another sip of his beer. “If you’re really gonna go and do something like that, don’t tell me about it.”

Theo couldn’t help but laugh himself, as he shook his head at his own dumb idea. “Yeah, I suppose it was kind of a bad idea...that, and I guess exploring the abandoned Edgewater hospital would technically be illegal, not to mention dangerous as hell. It would have been rather fun, though.” He needed to reign in his need to explore new places, before it got him in trouble. Besides, it wasn’t like Theo’s never seen or explored abandoned buildings before.
