Liberty took a glance to the building yet remained passive over it. She spent her time around the Livingstons and they were in the top 1% of the richest in the world. Besides, she had always found money to be of little importance when it came to her powers. “I’m not so sure that the government would agree with you doing so, but it is also not my place to say” she said with a sucking of breath through her teeth.

Thana let out a laugh. A genuine one, one that took her whole body to get out. “Alright, you do remember I’m a necromancer and I need to use my power to fight right?” She asked. “What was I supposed to do, bare knuckle brawl? I mean, I’m getting better at manipulating the fossils in concrete, but it still takes a hell of a lot of energy out of me.” She said.

“I know, I know...I just worry about the whole ethical thing of bodies being used. I have to try and keep some sort of PR response if I’m asked” she stated, clicking her tongue. “No no I understand it Thana and I don’t want to suppress your powers at all” she reassured, patting the girls shoulder softly.

Well” The hero’s eyebrows furrowed slightly and she looked away for a moment to ensure that everything was still fine “I suppose it’s always great to meet a fan then, The Heroes Union does what they can for the city and we’re always sure to be watching and there when we are needed” she nodded, offering a small smile.

“Can I help you?” Liberty wondered, turning in the street when she noted that someone else had addressed her. The proud hero’s gaze fell down on the other, not recognizing her. “I can’t do a selfie right now I’m afraid, I’m on duty and I need to stay focused. I hope that you can understand that?”

Thana laughed and nodded. “My lips are sealed, she’ll never know.” She said. “And thanks, wanna come help me put bodies around the tower? Or do you have some maps to go study?” Thana asked. She picked up her weapons which did include a couple swords, a mace or two, and at least one spear.

“Good, thats how it should be.” she then raised her eyebrow at the sudden comment “Um, quick question....Where did you get the bodies from, or am I best just not asking at all?” she wondered, her head tilting, she was hoping that hospital hadn’t been robbed again. That’s be a hard one to explain to the media.

Just so that it is fair” she noted, then pausing as she realized that she sounded like such a mom with her words “You’re right, I think that family have more money than sense at times. Thana nodded. “Can I still raise skeletons?” She asked. “Otherwise I bought $110 worth of swords and spears and a couple of maces for nothing. I still wanted to plan on setting some skeletons around the forcefield, reenforce my brother’s shop, and perhaps just.. for my general use to place around the city.” She rattled off on her fingers. “Don’t worry, charged it all to the Livingstons.” 

“Skeletons I can accept” The blonde admitted after a moment, giving a soft smile to the girl “Just no more people like the mayors wife, no one that high profile” she offered, before smiling at her softer “I should hope so, though I’m sure you might feel the wrath Fawna when she takes a look at the books, but until then...I’d say enjoy them”

Liberty admittedly didn’t look too filled with confidence at the others words and set her hands on her hips. “I certainly hope not, because I do not want more people rising from the dead. Sometimes death is the end that needs to not be tampered with. Let’s just call this last experiment a write off, no need to improve on it. I’ll sleep so much better” she then sighed softer, deciding to let up on her.

“Yet” she pointed out, holding up a finger to stop the girl in her tracks “Because you have no idea what could happen, this could start the Apocalypse for all we know, Thana” she sighed, even if the idea was probably ridiculous to voice. “You’re sure about thay, Thana? Because right now I honestly don’t think I can handle anymore completely wild rides, especially since a huge one is already awaiting us right outside of these tower walls.”

Adria knew she had crossed a line. Well when she really thought about it she had crossed several lines and refused to so much as look back. Tatiana has always been first and foremost her friend, but in her frustration she had lashed out. She knew she had really hurt Tati. She pulled the badge out of her back pocket, the Union Logo etched into the surface. She could walk away for good if she wanted. She could really leave it all behind, go with Fawna. Apologize.

They could go to the Island like they always planned, forget everyone else. It was selfish. But for a moment it felt like everything Adria had ever dreamed of, just a reach away. She rubbed her eyes, letting the Badge clink to the ground. Her mind may be clear now, but she had never felt so lost.

Liberty was a mess, she felt that her world was falling apart around her and she could no longer hold the walls up, even with her super strength. When the blonde stepped out of the room she felt the blast from her powers being reactivated knock the wind from her “Fuck” she groaned and blinked a couple of times. The woman turned her gaze back to watch Adria through the glass for a moment, only then shaking her head and wiping away a stray tear. THe hero storming off to try and make herself look strong and important.

Liberty’s eyes widened with hurt at Adria’s words and her body almost deflated to that of the teenager she had been when Lucky had died, she had no idea what to say, she was too hurt and could feel all her guilt and sadness rotting through her. Wordlessly the woman got up and went over to the door of the blank room. “Then leave your badge if you wish to” she said without looking at the woman, biting back her tears.

As for the others they don’t need to know just yet” she growled. “I’m not running away or sending others away so we’re not alike in this” “I am so glad to see just how confident you are in your friends and family” she said carefully, trying her best not to lose her temper as much as she wanted to. “We function together as long as we try, when people start breaking away like you, that’s when we become a joke. You’re being a hypocrite to your own self!”

Look at what happened at the ball, and you’ve even got her attacker here working with us. Pardon me for taking what I feel is the best course of action to protect the love of my life.”

Liberty paced and paced, had she had her powers she would have surely burned holes in the floor. The hero then pointed a finger at Adria “Amelia has shown that she is changing herself and I am tired of having everyone else question my authority on it. You have done something so unbelievably reckless here and you are not seeing it because you are in love with Fawna. We need her here as much as I hate to have to have her here....But the fight hasn’t even started yet and we need her help to get those supplies BEFORE we evacuate them” she snapped. “You should have told someone, this is the the kind of thing thats going to sink us all. The fact none of us are being honest”
