I was in an environment where I was constantly told what to do and what not to do, as well as what to say and what not to say. I was never truly free. I can't be myself. I can't do the things I really want to do, be with the people I want to be with, or truly love someone.

Though I understand why they had to do it, I couldn't help but wonder, "Is this what a kid is supposed to do?"

I envied the kids who could just let their imaginations take them to different fantasy worlds. I envied them for having a normal childhood. Now that I'm an adult, I'm not sure where to begin. I am no longer a child, but I have the mind of a child who was never given the opportunity to think like one, and the dreams of a child who was never given the opportunity to pursue their dreams.

What am I going to do?

The world is terrifying, but at least I am living my life the way I want now. Sure, I'm going to make a lot of mistakes, but at least I'm living like a normal person now.

Half liberty... this is better than having no freedom at all.

Perhaps there are people who are confused by my way of life. Some of them may be puzzled by my specific choices. The jobs I choose, the music I listen to, the people I associate with, and so on.

I'm not sure, but I just want to experience life before I lose the opportunity to do so.

Life, as we all know, is way too short. You're young and full of energy; you can enjoy things for now, but tomorrow you'll wake up and be forced to carry all of the obligations of adulthood.

People say I'm a late bloomer, but I think I'm never late since I have my own way. Just because I took longer than others doesn't mean that I am behind. Did they even ask if I was going in the same direction as everyone else? I am not falling behind. I'm just going down a road you're not aware of. And it is not my responsibility to explain every thought I have to everyone.

Some people think I'm lazy, but I guess, it's just that what we're doing doesn't really interest me. Why would I devote my time and energy to people and things that don't matter to me? And maybe, just maybe, I'm in a situation where everyone believes I'm incapable of achieving what we need to do. Why would I put in the effort for people and places that don't truly support and value my abilities?

It's upsetting that so many people are deceived by how others describe me. But that's life, right? No matter what or how you do, someone will always say something negative about you.

Right now, I'm much happier and more at ease. I've already cut ties with people I considered to be friends. I have no plans to reconnect those lines. I'm in a lot better place now.

I hope everyone learns to keep their mouth shut when necessary. You are not required to always declare your opinions and viewpoint.

Just because I am different doesn't really mean I am wrong. We're unique individuals, and that's something you should be aware of.
