A certain exhausted young Time Guardian trudged out of the half-wrecked Divine Order castle, eyes stinging from the fact that he was dripping wet from a tsunami wave from earlier, trying to wring out his shirt of excess saltwater as he did so. Slowly he surveyed the damage, the number of heroes requiring medical attention, and the sight of a couple of Pokemon trainers sending out their water types to help fish out Kaneki (as well as Akira) out of the shriveling ‘Kraken’ remains sinking beneath the tide.
Spade couldn’t help but groan. “ What a mess.” He muttered more to himself than for anyone else in his vicinity. Considering that his magic reserves were already running as fumes earlier, he needed some form of a fast recharge as soon as possible if he wanted to sort it all out before-
“Yes... It is.”
A pair of figures had appeared just beside the grumbling apprentice, apparently just in time to overhear; for better or worse, the Seer had finally made her return to the Order with Oko in tow. Admittedly, Spade startled in fright at her abrupt reappearance and then dread sank into his bones as she leveled what was clearly a disappointed gaze at the scene unfolded before her.
Oko was the only one who had a completely different reaction to everything from everybody else, his frown also looked disappointed, but for the wrong reasons. “You guys had a water balloon fight without us?”
The Seer shifted her focus toward Spade before she finally continued, her expression holding that same air of ambiguity that was no doubt quite familiar by now. “...I should have left better, more thorough countermeasures for you to use, making sure you were more prepared.” Then the goddess bowed her head, a solemn and often heard sorrow falling into her tone. “It was foolish and unjust of me to leave the potential for such an immense catastrophe on your shoulders. I should have known it would be too much.”
Considering what his expectations were, the words left her very first apprentice stunned for a moment. “What?” he blurted out after a moment of waiting for the Seer to continue speaking and getting none else. “You think this is all just… your own fault?”
“There is a reason why my work here requires constant, personal attention.” A hint of tired bitterness entered her tone, eyes narrowed. “Even after training for eons, I still make errors, sometimes quite grievous ones. I should not have expected such a short time of apprenticeship to prepare you for this level of… Volatility.”
“But!” And with a conviction that surprised even himself- “...You wanna know what did at least happen thanks to Kaneki? Catching the bad guy who started this whole mess! So I made a mistake and he went a bit berserk because of it, but that’s my bad, not yours!” Spade went, his tone on the verge of shouting.
Then the young Guardian hastily pulled his arms back down at his side, realizing way too late that he was wildly gesturing with them during the heated spiel.
Fortunately, the Seer seemed unphased by the outburst and maintained her calm demeanor. "And what did this victory cost?" she simply asked, the straightforward inquiry cutting deep into the tension.
Which was more than enough to defuse and deflate Spade, since even he didn’t think there was any sense of pride to be had about his performance as acting leader. “I’ll… gather up and get a count on who’s hurt.”
“Actually,” the goddess cut in before turning her attention to her other apprentice, “Oko, I would like for you to put your training into good use and tend to the injured. Spade will be showing me what has become of Kaneki; on the way, we can discuss the details of that ‘bad guy’ he mentioned. I suspect there is quite a bit to catch me up on.”
"Okay, Ms. Seer," Oko replied, tilting his head curiously at the request before wandering off to attempt his very best at completing the task given to him. (But luckily, he wouldn’t be unsupervised while doing so.)
---
“Attention everyone!” called out the Seer once each member of the Order had been attended to and Kaneki both stabilized and properly secured. “I do have a bit of an announcement, so please gather around!” Under normal circumstances, just shouting that out would never have been enough to garner attention-- but without any walls or, in fact, any manner of standing structure to obstruct the sound, her voice carried quite well across the flooded ruins. Gradually the weary lot grouped around her, some more reluctantly than others.
“Due to the current… Circumstances,” she explained with a vague gesture at the castle’s remains, “There will need to be substantial repairs-- physical and magical-- before the base here is safe and habitable again. In the meantime, our residence will be temporarily shifted to our alternate headquarters in Raeth. This is not expected to be an especially long process, but due to the risk of attack while the area is… Compromised… It will be safer to take refuge elsewhere until we can deem the structure suitable and secure.”
Some grumbling and whispering could be heard; clearly this was not a usual course of action. Someone even used the term ‘unprecedented.’ Clearly this was about a bit more than just making sure the castle was architecturally sound.
“Rooms, belongings, mission boards, and all other necessities will be available over there as well, along with the usual dining arrangements, training rooms, and lounges. I doubt it will be much different, in the long run,” she quietly assured the group. Some didn’t seem so easily convinced.
“But what about the BEACH?” demanded Selia furiously. “The Raeth HQ is so… Grungy, and in the mainland, too! No water for miles and the forest is filled with, you know… Werewolves and stuff!” There was some murmur of agreement.
“Man I sure hope I can bring my lab over there,” Sylvia muttered. “They’re really weird about science over there, and magic. And especially about magic and science together. How’m I supposed to work on an anti-gravity grenade in peace with folks claiming it’s witchcraft?”
“I know the move won’t be ideal, but I assure you it is very, very temporary,” the Seer insisted. “The HQ is quite secure there, we will not have to worry about any… Unexpected visitors.” So that was what this was about… The leak. The arrival, the troublemaker who had somehow slipped through the barrier… The group quieted a bit, perhaps not everyone was happy about it, but they’d just have to make do.
“In the meantime,” she added, “Please feel free to let me know if you would like to help with the repairs here as well; while the area will not be fully secure, we can use as many sets of hands as we can get. There is a great deal to be done, and the more sets of eyes we have, the less likely anything crucial will be missed. Perhaps we can even make it better than it was before.”
“Everyone else…” The Seer’s strain was showing slightly, though she brushed it away swiftly. “Just try to keep calm, and stay at ease. The Raeth HQ has many allies of ours, and I’m certain if everyone comes together, there will be plenty of ways to pass the time. We’ll be back to our normal operations before you know it.”
---
With a quick snap of his fingers after his magic was back to full capacity, Spade presented to the goddess a jar as they walked through the halls of the much more Victorian-styled castle, though its contents were impossible to examine through the glass with the naked eye.
“And here it is, our culprit,” said Spade. “I know it’s not much to look at like this, but as I’m sure you already know- keeping something that’s physically like the Ether involves blocking out everything from light, sound, air… Not a single atom of anything goes in or out.”
The Seer examined the jar contemplatively, giving a nod of understanding; it was hard to believe that there was such a small version of the Ether that it could be trapped within just this small jar, but she could tell her apprentice’s words were quite sincere. “The Ether itself was a shock when I first learned of it, and now there are even more branches of this being. This... For all that I can see, this was not something I was able to anticipate, as though blocked from my vision somehow.” Two fingers rubbed at her temples in frustration. “I cannot fathom what this means. It could be multiplying, or growing to such immense size that portions break off, or perhaps they are small enough fragments to slip under our radar all this time…”
She sighed. “I suppose there is no use in overthinking it for the time being. We will have to worry about that after more pressing matters are settled.” The pair had reached a staircase leading deep underneath the castle, lit by flickering torches. The whole area felt incredibly eerie; it was just what one would expect from some creepy dungeon.
“You’re right, but I think you might be interested in a couple of other details that Erwick can confirm.” her apprentice added. “Attacks like from his flames worked perfectly fine as usual, but there was also this shiny weak spot on it. Literally. Some kind of scar maybe?”
“A… scar?”
“Yeah. White and glowing. Like… Ganondorf’s, all the way back in Twilight Princess. And then they were hamming it up about trying to prove their worth to the rest of the Ether.”
If not for how serious the entire situation was, the sight would’ve been almost comedic. Spade continued on, “Honestly with how its plan went horribly right on trying to piss off Kaneki, I could see why this thing might actually be a bit of a bumbling idiot in the Ether’s view.”
“Interesting.” The Seer made a mental note of this; perhaps there was a bit more to her initial impression than she’d thought. “That behavior is rather unusual as well, the Ether does not seem to have much ambition aside from its… Destructive nature. Hm. I suppose we will have to keep on the lookout for other, similar phenomena.”
It was about then that the cell came into view… The bars looked like exactly the sort of solid steel that one would expect in some classic old dungeon, though they were nothing compared to the unseen energy field that would block any unsanctioned passage in or out. Inside, however, it was at least clean and tidy; there was also a bed and a bathroom for now. The Seer would have to check its occupant’s mental condition before deciding if any other furniture was safe to place inside…
“It seems he’s still out cold,” she commented quietly. “With the RC suppressants administered, at least his awakening won’t shake the foundations. I imagine I will still know nonetheless.” Considering the effect his aura had on her, there was no question of what she meant there.
“With luck… Hopefully, Kaneki will recover soon.”
The Seer wasn’t sure she believed her own words.
---
The sea breeze was so much stronger with most of the island demolished, rushing across the debris with a ragged howl. There was nothing to hold it back now, just like any of the countless fiendish creatures that could have launched their attacks on the rubble. But aside from that wind, it was quiet, most of those who’d come to make repairs working in relative silence. The atmosphere was heavy indeed, and none seemed daring enough to try and cut through it.
The Seer meanwhile was occupied by her own thoughts, and they were no gentler than the roaring tides.
She was certain the barrier had to be compromised in some way. That thing had gotten in somehow, after all; normally the field was able to protect against even the full might of the Ether pounding on its walls. It had rebuffed countless beasts, many much stronger than the little spectral scoundrel now in their custody.
So how had it gotten inside when so many others couldn’t?
Checking the magic was bearing no fruit, nor were the wards or, in fact, any of the other enchantments of varying types that were supposed to keep this place safe.
None of it made any sense.
Her initial guess was that Spade had accidentally changed a setting or altered the composition of the energy, or… Something. But whatever had caused the breach, it seemed to be back in place now-- even if the field itself was still temporarily down. The whole thing was making the Seer’s head spin… She was a being with visions of the future, knowledge of the unknown, all the multiverse crammed into what was once a mortal skull.
So why couldn’t she understand what was happening here?
Why hadn’t she been able to predict any of this?
How had she not even known about that tiny Ether’s existence?
There were too many questions and not enough answers. So, for the time being, she set herself back to the task of repairing the castle-- rebuilding walls, fixing tapestries, and retrieving broken tech. It wasn’t perfect, but at least keeping her mind busy would prevent any further over-thinking.
Everything would be back to normal soon. It had to be.

“Attention everyone! Yes, this way, over here! Thank you.” In the Divine Order’s main hall, a young woman had perched herself at a podium. Garbed in gold and blue, with long, dark brown hair trailing, elaborate jewelry and armor decorated with shimmering cobalt gems... she truly looked like a dramatic figure straight out of any fantasy novel. Most knew this woman as the Goddess of Destiny, but many others called her the Seer, or even Creator. However, her regal appearance clashed terribly with an incredibly strained expression; if one didn’t know better, they might suspect she’d gone quite a few nights without any sleep at all.
     Then again, maybe she had.
“Yes, good, let’s get started. I have a few announcements to make-- come now,” she added quickly, spotting a young swordsman trying to duck out of sight, “Stay put, it’s important. Yes, much better. Now, where was I...” A scuffle was audible in the back, and the woman rubbed one hand over her face. “Kris, if you’re having trouble seeing please come to the front instead of attempting to climb on people, I know you’re rather small but--”
     “WHO’RE YOU CALLING A--”
“AS I WAS SAYING,” the Seer interrupted what could only be an Edward Elric alternate mid-rant, “It seems there have been some... Disturbances as of late.”
“Do ya mean... A disturbance in the force?” called out Sylvia from the front. “Just kidding, just kidding-!” The Seer made a mental note to take a very, very relaxing vacation as soon as the current situation had resolved itself-- which, alas, she suspected would take quite a long while.
“It seems that the Ether have been making a number of big moves lately,” the Seer resumed firmly, “And in addition, an unknown entity has been detected traveling through... Well, what we can only refer to as ‘digital’ worlds at this point in time.” Some murmurs of confusion could be heard among the gathered crowd; what did that even mean..? Some were so new to technology that the very word threw them for a loop.
“Digital worlds?” This time it was a veteran who spoke up, Gregor taking a step forward with a noticeable clank of his dark armor. “Do you mean... Game worlds? Like World of Warcraft or something? Or more like computer programs that think?” Admittedly he was having a bit of trouble trying to visualize such a thing; was there a timeline with sentient versions of Firefox? Gregor didn’t like the sound of that.
“It’s a bit more complex than that,” she admitted, “And we’re still learning as we go. Kris is from one such world, a timeline with a digital framework built into its very function. Based on what Sylvia has been able to glean, that is why a number of their abilities aren’t functional here; we lack the substance to our timeline which allows their powers to work.” Perched atop someone’s shoulders despite the Seer’s instructions, the teen gave a nod of understanding... Even though they still didn’t really get it at all.
“Either way,” the Goddess continued, “A number of anomalies have originated from within such worlds, and some exceptionally strong energy signatures have been detected as a result. Not all seem to be Ethereal in origin, and as such, the situation is still unclear. However... This is also causing a high number of distortions, which in turn means a large amount of tears in reality.”
As expected, the murmurs started once more. “The Galvans and Erwick are currently working on tracking these tears,” concluded the Seer quietly, “But odds are we will be needing to send out a number of scouts to such locations, along with investigating the structure of these timelines. But, be warned.” A deadly serious expression crossed her face.
“If you encounter such an entity, or believe that you have, leave the timeline immediately, and travel somewhere... Non-digital. While it’s unclear what these forces are capable of, it seems they could be extremely dangerous. Do not engage them until we know what we are dealing with, understood?”
While some agreement and acknowledgement could be heard, the Seer knew deep down that such an altercation was likely inevitable... All she hoped was that it wouldn’t result in any casualties.
“That is all for now, you’re free to go.” With that she left the group behind, catching Sylvia by the shoulder. “Now, I think it’s time to discuss those... Failsafes you mentioned.”
                                                              -
This is the place, huh? A figure peered through the forest at a large castle, crimson gaze glinting eerily through shaggy, unkempt bangs. Leaned against a rough tree trunk with both hands stuffed into the pockets of a worn striped jacket, their slouched posture seemed quite relaxed and content... A sharp contrast to the deadly focus that lingered just under the surface. You sure they’re in there, partner?
Correct, answered a firm, decisive voice within the strange teen’s head. But there seems to be an odd energy field surrounding the entire residence. In addition, this timeline is... Unusual. It seems to lack a structure of code, limiting my abilities. It does not have any Save files either. If we engage in a fight here, we will be at a grave disadvantage. The entity straightened slightly, a hint of annoyance wrinkling their nose.
What do we do then? Wait for the kid to come out? Their odd, disembodied partner seemed to make an amused snort at that.
We will need to make plans to separate them from this place. For now, there is nothing more to do here. Take us back, we cannot risk being detected. Those inhuman eyes flicked back to the building one last time, before reluctantly tearing their focus away. Fingers stretched and clenched in their pockets, they were so close... And yet so very far.
Fine. With that, Reaper strode into the shadows beneath those towering canopies, vanishing into a faint flicker of pixels like a digital ghost.
No one got away from the demon who comes when you call their name...

It seems that the true cause of the Heatwave has been discovered, thanks to the efforts of a fiery mathematician, devious angel alchemist, ghostly superhero, and gifted Persona summoner. Working together, the group followed a lead to Scorchspring Isle, a craggy yet beautiful island to the southeast of the Order’s Distorted Hyrule HQ. There, a grisly reality was uncovered underneath the steamy, unstable surface; there is something down below, something ancient, powerful, and angry, and a deadly spectral foe known as the Etherion has awoken it. Whatever comes next, the heroes can be certain of a dangerous quest ahead...
Using recovered Ethereal shards from one of Scorchspring Isle’s Ethereal Dodongos, the Seer is now constructing amulets that will ward off the unnatural heat. While still uncomfortable, the magic will provide its wearer a resistance to the infernal temperatures and allow them to travel in relative safety. That is not to say the path ahead will be easy, however; if that adolescent Dodongo was anything to go by, the mysterious Scorchspring Temple will be fraught with danger, inhabited by vicious monsters and a variety of natural hazards. And who knows, it may even have some hidden traps to watch for, too.
Stay tuned; a quest will be added for the final confrontation soon!
With the addition of shops and questboards in the Discord server, a deadly foe on the horizon, and a labyrinth of danger in the volcanic depths below, things are really starting to heat up. Try not to get burned!

Over the last couple days, the temperature had drastically risen both inside and outside the Order. A sweltering heat descended from the cloudless sky, scorching plant life and filling every hall with an oppressive blanket of humidity. While summers in the vast oceanic world of Distorted Hyrule usually were quite hot, this level of solar bombardment was unheard of. Even in the shade, it felt like there was no escape from this fierce, fiery weather.
To make matters worse, it wasn’t much better regardless of what world one fled to. While this realm was by far the worst, it seemed as though this strange, supernatural weather pervaded even the time-space continuum.
As expected, most took refuge in every way they could. Some relied on water to cool the heat; others begged every ice magic user they could find for a bit of relief. Sylvia and the other tinkerers worked on ‘Magitech Air Conditioners,’ which blew out gloriously chilly air for the select few that stood directly in front of them. Then, of course, there were always those few that enjoyed the heat, and found themselves wondering why everyone else was so miserable when the weather was so lovely. A few heat-proof Flame Fiends lounged on the Order’s roof, basking in sunlight that could fry an egg in roughly fifteen minutes. Edward Erwick in particular was the most baffled, wondering why they were the only ones outside.
Their confusion didn’t last very long.
“Alright, gather around, everyone!” Despite this command coming from none other than a literal deity of time-space, it went wholly ignored by the Divine Order’s occupants. “Gather around!” she repeated, to no avail. As it happened, everyone found crowding around the Order’s newly installed Magitech air conditioners to be a far more pleasant prospect.
Even divine wrath was nothing compared to leaving that precious breeze behind.
“Fine fine, I’ll just hope you can all hear me from over here,” the Goddess decided. “As you may have guessed, severe heat waves of this magnitude are not a normal part of Distorted Hyrule’s climate. Furthermore, the energy is such that even surrounding dimensions have been affected to a lesser degree. I am currently locating the source of the disturbance, but this will likely take a few days.” At this point, she became acutely aware that nobody was even listening. ‘Oh well,’ the Goddess decided. ‘I’m sure they’ll figure it out on their own anyway.’
“In the meantime,” the blue-garbed woman concluded, “Just keep cool, avoid the sun, stay hydrated, and avoid any courses of action that might invite godly wrath from a hypothetically furious sun deity. Thanks for listening.” With that, the blue-garbed woman strode from the room, leaving her ‘audience’ to bask in what little refuge they had.
As of now, the Heat Wave event has officially begun!
Entities with fire and heat-based abilities will find themselves replenished and strengthened by the current weather conditions, whereas those who utilize ice and water magic will find their abilities greatly weakened. Not only does this apply to heroes, but even to deadly adversaries and monsters, too.
Get ready for some teamwork, because it’s going to take some cooperation to overcome the trials ahead-- and perhaps prevent a scorching demise.

Test Drive Grand Opening!
Tumblr media
That’s right; we’re finally ready to start getting into the testing phase of the group! From here on, any members’ IC interactions/asks using affiliated verses which are tagged as #Guild will count towards their cumulative Prestige and Notoriety scores; these scores will then build up to unlock various features, and affect how NPCs perceive your muse. Just make sure to use that tag so we can easily find your posts all in one place. We don’t want to miss any by mistake, after all!
We have a dedicated channel on the Discord where these scores will be tracked for the time being, though we may move it elsewhere if we find a better option. For now, this ‘Alpha’ stage of testing will be particularly focused on watching how quickly these scores build up, and determining if we need any rebalancing. We’re still accepting applications too, so you’re not too late if you’d like to jump in. New folks are always welcome!
We have some goals for these coming weeks; to get our Quest board up and running, and hold our first small group event, too. Our final major goal is to complete the pages for certain NPCs, who will be featured in future events. These are mostly extra goals, but the sooner they’re done, the sooner this sandbox will get a whole lot bigger for everybody.
In the meantime, feel free to ask for our Discord server link, if you haven’t already! You don’t have to be a member yet to jump in and figure out if we’re a group you’d be interested in. Thanks for reading, and let’s get this show on the road!

Stay Tuned; Test Drive Beginning Soon!
Tumblr media
First things first; another new member has been accepted, so welcome to @twotimesoldier! We’re still looking to have some more members before opening, so keep them coming! We’ll open officially after two more applications are accepted, or on this Monday, June 25th! Make sure to get your apps in before then so you don’t miss out, since we’ll be counting any prestige and notoriety accumulated from that point on-- and have a small event to kick off shortly after, too.
In addition, we’ve gone ahead and added onto the rules for a bit of clarity; we do use Discord on the side, but it isn’t necessarily required. However, it seemed like a good idea to state that right up-front, since some of our features may wind up being reliant on it. Plus, our server is a great way to meet up with the other members and get a feel for who else is here.
Either way, thanks for reading, and we look forward to starting things off soon!

First Round of Applications Completed!
Tumblr media
All applications sent in have now been accepted; welcome to @trickstersshadow and @theghostkid, who are now officially members! Your blogs and applications are now listed on the members page, bringing us one step closer to kicking off some events and beginning the Test Drive. New interactions between members will count for Prestige and Notoriety once we have some more members, since we’re still waiting on a few more apps.
Once we have accepted at least 5 member/Veteran apps, or 2 weeks from today have passed, we’ll officially open the Test Drive. With luck we’ll have enough people participating before that deadline passes! (Plus, this should hopefully be enough time for anyone who wants to jump in to complete their apps without missing anything.)
In the meantime, feel free to ask for our Discord server, and toss as many questions our way as you’d like; there’s no such thing as a bad question! I promise we don’t bite. Thanks for your patience everyone, and hopefully we’ll hear from some more of you soon!

Tumblr media
That’s right; as of now, we are finally accepting member applications for our Test Drive! It may take a day or two to get through them, so do be patient; we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. Note that we’ve also slightly revised the About page, and now there’s a link to our Submit on the Application page.
In the meantime, use our links below to navigate, and we hope to have this show on the road very, very soon! If you need an example of what a finished application might look like, we do have a few on display on the members page. And of course, if you have any questions, our ask is always open!

Stay Tuned; Applications for the Test Drive Opening Soon!
Tumblr media
That’s right; soon we will be officially opening applications to the public! Once we have accepted a handful, we’ll be starting up the Test Drive itself and getting this show on the road. Note that since we’re beginning with a Test Drive, not all group features and NPCs will be implemented yet. Basically, think of this as the roleplay group equivalent to an open Alpha. However, we will be tracking and testing out the Prestige/Notoriety mechanics, include a number of NPCs, initiate some basic events, and accept feedback on how we can improve the group. We’ll be implementing more features as we go, so stay tuned for that!
Our most pressing segments of the project are as follows: completing an example Glitch app, adding onto and renovating the NPC descriptions, and building the sideblogs for two key NPCs with their own dedicated features. These will be handled first, with some possibly being completed before the application process is opened. After that, we will be focusing on building the shop and quest board mechanics, which will offer unique prompts and opt-in M!A effects.
We plan to be accepting applications in a few days’ time, so feel free to read through our pages in the meantime, ask questions, or request a link to our group discord! We’ll go ahead and provide links below to our most important pages, though there’s also more you can check through by clicking the buttons on our blog.
Thanks for reading, and we hope to have you joining us soon!

The Official Group NPC Hub is now Online!
As of now, the sideblog which will serve as this group’s hub for NPCs is available! While still a strong WIP, it provides a listing of most NPCs that will eventually appear in the group, with a small handful having basic information up. Questions about them are completely welcome, and feel free to check back from time to time since more pages are on the way!
Reminder that Legacy of the Heroes’ Guild has a discord server now! For now it’s mostly just a place to hang out and joke around, but eventually it will be a hub for plotting, chatter, memes, and whatever else you care to throw in. There’s already an IC chat for crack roleplay, and channels for plotting, headcanons, and AUs. Feel free to send an ask or an IM if you’d like an invite, all are welcome!

Announcement; We now have a Discord!
Alright! Moving forward with development, some information has been added to our Characters page, the Worlds page now has official coordinates, and we’ve started setting up a Member list in preparation for the opening of applications. There’s still some work to go, but we’re getting there!
Additionally, we’ve now made a Discord server! (Special thanks to @0ne-eye-king for the help with setting it up!) It will be totally optional, but is definitely encouraged. There’s channels for chatter, plotting, art, introducing yourself, and more, and we’ll probably add on as necessary, too. Feel free to ask for a link if you’re interested; all are welcome, even if you’re still undecided.
Thanks for sticking around, folks, and here’s hoping our test drive will be up and running before you know it!

( On the app, what do you do if your muse is a crossover canon character for the fandom section? Like, they're from one fandom but have been brought into another one. )
This is a really good question, since the lines on fandom can definitely get blurred-- especially in a group like this, where crossovers are a pretty central theme. So, I’ll try to cover all the bases here, and hopefully it’ll help clear things up!
If the muse is now entirely AU from their starting material, putting something like “(originally [x fandom]) [y fandom] AU” saying where it came from, and what it is now would work. For example, let’s say somebody has a canon manga-based Pokemon Trainer muse. Originally this character would come from Pokemon, but let’s say your version is totally AU from that, and is now a duelist of the Yugioh universe. So, there you would say something like “(originally Pokemon manga) Yugioh AU.” Obviously it doesn’t have to be that exactly, but just something that indicates where they started, and what they are now. In this case, you’d also want to list “Canon / AU” in the next line, since the muse would fit both of those.
On the flip side, if your muse is instead a crossover with two(or more) fandoms built into their history, just list them in order of importance. So, with the Pokemon Trainer metaphor again, maybe it’s actually a crossover between Pokemon and Yugioh, instead of totally switching fandoms. In this case, you’d just say something like “Pokemon manga, crosses with Yugioh.” Here, the character would just be a “Canon” as well, since they’re not completely separated from their original universe. Note that neither of these examples could be an Origin though, since both diverge from their source material prior to joining the group.
Really, we won’t get too picky with the details and technicalities, though; the important thing is just to make sure everyone knows what’s going on to some degree. Fandom can get messy, especially if you’re bringing in a muse who already has some roleplay history built into them. Plus, if it really comes down to it when you’re filling out the app, and aren’t sure what your muse fits on a line, feel free to ask and we can try to help you out.
Either way, thanks so much for the question, and hopefully that helped clarify how this would work!

      Announcement; Plans for the Future!
Alright, so! Since the development of Writscrib has gone somewhat slower than expected, and it will be quite a while before all the features we want to utilize there are actually available, a decision has been made. In the meantime, we will be opening up a test drive here on tumblr, in which interested folks can try out various features, explore the new worlds, and participate in events. We will still be continuing to tweak and balance as this continues, and will definitely be hoping for feedback on what we can do better, and what we can add to make the experience more engaging! Basically, think of the test drive as our ‘open beta’ of sorts.
There will still be a bit of a wait before we are open for the test drive, but we hope to get there relatively soon. In the meantime, we will be adding more worlds, NPCs, and species to the pages, and potentially tweaking our rules to be more indicative of the final draft. And, of course, we’re still open to questions anyone has, so ask away!
Plus, look forward to some foreshadowing tidbits that will give hints at plot points to come, and a more defined idea of the trials ahead. Either way, thanks for sticking with us, and here’s hoping we’ll have more available for you soon!

Time for the first major update in quite a while; a new page has been added for species, since there’s a variety of new creatures in the group. For now the page will be remaining relatively small, with a few new races added as time progresses. We may also be adding more detailed informational pages for them at a later time, especially if people would like to have them.
Note that most species will not appear outside the world they originate from, though some may be featured as NPCs here and there.
In addition, a few new timelines have been added to the worlds page, and all now list if they’re based on a specific fandom. Ones which are shown as ‘panfandom’ draw loose influences from several fandoms, combined with original content.
As always, if there’s anything you’d like us to elaborate on, ask away! After all, that will give a better idea of what we need to work on clarifying, and what we have covered for the time being. Either way, thanks for sticking around, and here’s hoping our next ‘update’ won’t be so far off!
