I bring to you something different - Sequoia Gathering Hall

This is a recreation center for The Sims 4. Yes, that’s right, I have been playing TS4 since infants have released. I wasn’t a huge fan of the premade rec center and really wanted to use the curved walls feature to create interesting and abstract shapes and rooms, similar to the rec center in my town. 

It’s fit with the following:

- Basketball court

- Playground

- Toddler jungle gym (slide, ball pit, and gym)

- Mini Gym

- Locker room

- Family friendly bathrooms

- A music room which can be retrofitted to hold a party or sleepover

- A huge atrium with games tables, a cafeteria, and vending machines

- A large library with computers and books

- A very large play space for children, toddlers, and infants

- Robotics, fabrication, candle making, kids science tables, and kids art tables

- Easels

Hey! I downloaded your CC-free version of the revamped Downtown, followed the instructions as listed but when the Downtown neighborhood is created, all of the lots are in the correct places/named properly but they're all empty. The terrain/hood deco is completely fine, but every single lot is just like a blank lot. I checked the NeighborhoodTemplate file in the install directory and the lots are all listed there properly, but for whatever reason they show as blank in-game. Do you have any ideas?

Hi there! I don't really support Downtown much anymore because I haven't played TS2 in a while, however, I am wondering if you installed the main hood version in the location that the subhoods go. Check to make sure you downloaded the right version, but other than that, I honestly am not entirely sure.

I just found your genetically correct versions of Strangetown and Pleasantview, and I love them! Even more so because they use clean templates :) do you plan on doing Veronaville too?

Hi! Thanks for asking, I love to see the interest in my creations!! As for Veronaville, I am not sure. I have been taking a little bit of a break from sims, and I would like to do it eventually, but I can’t say for sure or when. If I do another genetically correct hood, the next one would surely be Vv:)

Monique’s Hacked Computer Guide

When I first started to use Monique’s hacked computer, I looked for at least short tutorial on how this mod works, but unfortunately I didn’t find anything. At first, I was puzzled why interest wasn’t charged to the sim’s accounts on some days, I thought that the mod didn’t work for me. And I was afraid that my game is corrupted when I found “SS Member” and “Frat Member” under “Chat with” menu option. It took some time to figure everything out.

Therefore, I decided to write a guide for the same beginners as I was :D Well, and for those who still haven’t fully explored features of this wonderful mod :)

Please feel free to write comments if you have something to add! I’ve been testing all the features of this mod for a while, including those that I had not touched before, and I could still miss something.

my mother is pregnant & we are struggling to stay fed.

i feel embarrassed and guilty that i even have to make this post but i don’t really know what else to do. i know people are sent gross messages for reaching out for help so please, if you have anything negative to say, keep it to yourself.

my mom is nearly 6 months pregnant with my baby sister. she is disabled and considered a high-risk pregnancy because of her age, blood pressure and other factors. we live in a house of 6, and are struggling to keep everyone fed. we are eligible for and currently receiving the WIC program [provides food for low income mothers] but it’s proving to not be enough for our growing household. my mom is even job searching despite being told by her doctors that she cannot work while pregnant without putting risk to herself and the baby. the more stressed she becomes the more risk she is at, and this situation is not helping in the slightest.

i feel helpless as i cannot do anything to support her and my family no matter how much i want to. i am an autistic person with debilitating anxiety who also suffers from agoraphobia, so i cannot obtain and/or keep a job at this point in time. i am looking to file for disability this coming year, but it will be a lengthy process.

if you can spare literally anything to help us, i would be eternally grateful. if you can’t, a reblog to spread the word will help just as much. all money will go towards feeding my family and pets. thank you.

Just saying hi to everyone and letting you know that yes, I do still live and breathe and exist. Sorry I’ve been so neglectful lately!

After months of not playing, the itch to play a sims game is very VERY slowly returning.

I still have some very faint plans in the idea phases. Namely a GC Veronaville to round out my series. No promises, but I’m considering it. I can’t stand the thought of not giving people the option to do a megahood of the base game hoods…I mean I already have 2 done so what’s one more? Well…

As I said, no promises, but I am here!

An update / Thank you for 300+ followers!!

Hey everyone! It’s me, I hope you’re all doing well today.

I’ve been meaning to get on here since I got 300 followers and thank you ALL so much for the follows, and in the meantime I’ve accumulated even more, so thank you extra for over 300 followers, I never would have thought of myself as somewhat of a content creator and love seeing how much you guys like my creations! 

I also just wanted to get on here and say hi and that I’m still around, but have taken a bit more of a dormant tumblr lurker status than I was previously. Life has gotten SUPER busy for me (and extremely stressful and overwhelming) which explains my absence, but things are slowly but surely getting better and I am getting my shit together after feeling like a basket case this past month. In addition to not feeling in a “sims mood” lately. I will come back to you guys with some new creations, maybe some new GC hoods or hood renovations, etc... sometime soon, but for the meantime, I just wanted to pop in here and say hey, I’m around, just stepping back a tiny bit :)

I’ll see you all around and will come at you as soon as I can with some more cool stuff, but until then, stay safe, healthy, and just enjoy what you can in life :D

Hey followers and people!

I’ve got something quick for you today - all of the Maxis Downtownies in one easy to add subhood! This is part 2 in my Downtown series, (hopefully) soon to be followed with a cc free version of my Downtown, though don’t hold me to that!

I’ll let you all in on a little secret - I love my Downtown, but I always disliked that it didn’t have any Downtownies, which is what, in my opinion, made it so alive! Today (and last night) I finally figured out how to really easily add them to any hood - even if you don’t use my Downtown, and I’ve uploaded it in an easy to add subhood!

Downtown Revamp - NO CC Version

It’s been a long time since I released my very well received (Thank you all again so much) renovated version of Downtown, and I thought is was high time I release a version without CC for those who don’t like to use any, or who don’t care for the content I used!

So I present to you all CC FREE Downtown!

This is pretty much the same Downtown as my other one, just with no cc (Except those used for screenshots), you will not be required to download anything but the hood and can simply throw it in your game and play! Yay, no more defaults or folders with several files for you to download!

Introduction:

As I said previously, this is a version of my Downtown Revamp I released back in December of 2020 without any cc! Every single lot has been renovated and overhauled to look better than the garbage that Maxis built, but still keep it’s original feel, for the most part!

This means all lots have been completely remodeled and updated. No more fugly Maxis lots! I had three main goals for this project - First, to update everything to look good and be fun to play, second to have each lot offer a unique “experience”, and third, to keep the original feeling of the lots in tact.

This comes in two versions - a Subhood version that you can add to your existing hoods, like you would with a traditional Downtown, and a Main Hood  version, so you can play my updated Downtown as a main hood if you’d like!

General Info:

- I renovated every single lot (except four lots which I removed from the hood, more on that later). Downtown had a special way of reusing the same idea for multiple different lots - I stopped counting how many dark vampy dance lounges with raised or lowered dance floors there were. Three freakin bowling alleys? As I mentioned earlier, I wanted each lot to have its own reason for you to come visit, and there were four lots that I ultimately felt offered nothing and wouldn’t be missed if they were taken out. The following lots are not in this Downtown:

Comandgo Emporium

Aside from those four lots, every lot has been renovated - Including Residential lots!

- The CC Free version means I went through each lot and one by one removed the pieces of cc and replaced/recolored anything that looked out of place. No more racecar rugs in the roads and handwashing signs all over the bathrooms!

- There are a few unavoidable NPC’s that have spawned when I made this such as a busker and the New Year’s Toddler. There are also a few stray animals that decided to spawn, but those could not be avoided. All in all, don’t worry about this adding tons and tons of NPC’s to your game - I did my best to ensure the hood was empty.

- This was built in AGS clean environment

- Requires Ultimate Collection or ALL EP’s & SP’s

- I used a tiny bit of CC just for screenshots - it is not included

By default this hood does not include any downtownies or Tricou ghosts/family members. However, if you would like to add the townies easily and quickly to this hood, you can find instructions and a download here :)

Download Instructions:

If you want the Subhood version - Download the DTWN Subhood zip, unzip with your preferred program, and extract it to the following folder, depending on which version of the game you have:

DELETE THE D001 Folder, or move it to a safe location. This is the original Downtown.

Once this is installed, load up the hood that you wish to add the new Downtown subhood to, and add it as you would with the vanilla Downtown. Note that you will know it’s the right one as the thumbnail will be different.

If you want the Main Hood version - Download the DTWN Main Hood zip, unzip with your preferred program, and extract to the following folder, depending on which version of the game you have:

Downtown Revamp - A complete overhaul of Downtown from The Sims 2 Nightlife

It’s finally here! This is going to be a long post, please read everything before you download, as there is quite a bit of information to go over! Let’s get started!

First, a picture of the finalized Downtown!

*Please note that some of the venues may look different in the final download than the pictures. This is because after building everything I went through and picked/replaced all of the CC that I felt wasn’t 100% necessary to use in the hood, thus some of the color schemes of the lots may differ, especially on interiors.

What is this?

This was built in the Ultimate Collection, so unfortunately I don’t know exactly what is “required”. Recommended at the very least to have NL, H&M, BV, FT, UNI, and AL.
