Rico snapped. Despite his unwillingness to fight, Rico was sure going to vent his rage somehow. “Pity?! Bull SHIT! Ooooh, hey, I’m Rico. I try to see the best in everybody even when they don’t deserve it! You’re not the only one here with a rough life! I was the only person in my family other than my step mom and baby brother to not die at least once, and except for my eldest step brother I had to see them die! My eldest biological brother’s life was filled with torture and brainwashing, enough so that he made a deliberate effort to make sure every bone of his own little sister and brother were broken. My real mom’s chest exploded with blood and splattered on my face when I was three, the undead nearly killed me for an alternate self’s gory rebellion and decapitation of a queen, not to mention my whole life I’ve been hunted by assassins for being fucking born! And I’m sick of being all happy on the surface! I always have to be the better person, even though I’m second youngest and should be more worried about seeing cartoons or playing a sport! The only reason I even learned how to fight was because my real mom wanted me and Jen to maybe make it past puberty! I’m still three or four years prepubescent, and I’ve already killed multiple people!”

Eventually, Rico’s flared up rage burned out, and the boy began to tear up, blushing from embarrassment. “Hff... I don’t know what you went through, so it’s not pity, Antasma. *hic* It never is.” The boy ran off in a bolt of fire, fast for how much energy he released. He wouldn’t cry in front of someone else.

“SAVE YOUR PITY! I DON’T NEED IT! GIVE IT SOMEVUN ELSE! SCREEEK!” Since the betrayel of Bowser, he hasn’t been able to completely handle kindness from others, which makes it difficult for him to spare other people. Then again, the way he grew up made it pretty hard for him to see any good in sparing people.

“Uh pretty good, I guess?” Antasma didn’t seem to remember that kid. His memories had been a bit messed up lately and it’s possible that he forgot some people that he met after his supposed demise. He really should get a break or he maybe won’t remember what he did last few days.
