Definitely! I still have a beef with the drastic art style change of 4/5, not just spartan armors but weapons/vehicles/space ships. The teaser for Infinite gives me some hope for armor changes, lil worried as far as vehicles and ships go. I think Wars 2 did a much better job at incorporating the “new” style through a blend/mix of old/new rather than outright replacement that 4/5 did. I do find it a bit strange some people dismiss art style complaints, it’s a very important aspect of the series.

Man I wish I answered this earlier... It's been perhaps 8 or more years 😅

My issue with Halo's aesthetics outside of CE, Classic 2 and HW1, is they tend to double down on videogame logic. I didn't notice until I saw the adjustments cosplayers and prop-makers have to make to compensate. Applying these minute changes to my own art convinced me that CE and especially 2 had a greater degree of universalism. (Most naturalistic imo)

Genuine question but how come this guys sniper has a box mag on it? Or is it a machine gun w a wonky scope idk i could be misinterpreting it lol

It's an SRS-pattern autocannon that fires smart munitions such as airburst rounds, HEAT style rounds and the classic discarding jacket rounds.

This particular weapon was made obsolete by the Hydra however.

It's actually kinda wild how military/scifi drawing translates to martial arts action drawings... It's the same technicality, but much less detail! I'm having a blast drawing these.
